Chapter Eleven: Snape Is a Ruthless Man!

After buying the cauldrons, Snape called Colma and asked her to take everything back to Hogwarts.

Then he came to Gringotts with Vesey.

Vesey stood at the entrance of Gringotts with her mouth hanging open.

From the outside, the entrance didn’t look particularly large, but when she looked inside, she was stunned by how grand and magnificent it was.

Snape stood behind her with a smile, making no attempt to rush her.

After Vesey had seen enough, Snape took her inside.

"This is Gringotts. Your parents’ wealth is also stored here, but I want to open a separate account for you. All my money is yours."

Vesey felt a little embarrassed.

"I can’t take it. At first, I thought I’d need to ask you for money because I was poor, but my parents are wealthy, so I..."

Snape shook his head disapprovingly.

"How can a girl have no money? I’m your mother’s good friend, so naturally, my money is your mother’s money. And ultimately, it’s your money!"

Without waiting for Vesey to refuse, he immediately told the goblin what he wanted.

"Do you want to transfer all the Galleons in your vault into this Miss Vesey Potter’s vault?"

The goblin scratched his ear with a finger, as though he had just heard some kind of fairy tale.

Snape nodded.

"I’m absolutely certain."

The goblin glanced at Vesey in astonishment before having someone carry out the transfer.

After the goblin finished, Snape deposited all the Galleons he had given Vesey the previous day into her vault as well.

Then he walked out with Vesey.

"All right, it’s just a small matter. Don’t worry about it. I’m a professor at Hogwarts, and Dumbledore pays me a salary. How could I possibly have no money?"

He reassured Vesey.

Vesey sighed.

She simply felt that Snape’s double standards were outrageous.

"Thank you. But if you ever run short of money, you must tell me. I’ll return every bit of it to you!"

she said firmly.

Snape stared at her in a daze.

Finally, he nodded slightly.

"Come on. Let’s buy you some robes."

The two arrived at Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions.

Snape called Madam Malkin over.

"Make some clothes for this child. And show me the materials you use for students’ robes. Some of these fabrics aren’t very good and could irritate her skin."

Madam Malkin’s lips twitched.

She had never seen a man fuss over something like this so much.

Still, she brought out several different fabrics.

"Don’t worry. The materials we have here are the best."

Snape didn’t quite believe her.

He touched the fabric again and again, feeling that it still wasn’t good enough, and asked her to find something better.

"Money isn’t a problem."

He said this matter-of-factly.

Madam Malkin smiled.

She turned around and went inside, returning with another piece of cloth.

This time, Snape was satisfied.

"Use this one. Make all her clothes from this material. Don’t try to fool me. I’ll inspect every piece."

Madam Malkin was speechless.

While measuring Vesey, she couldn’t help asking whether Snape was her father.

"Your father really loves you!"

It was rare to see a man being so meticulous.

Vesey sighed inwardly.

Do you really think he loves me?

Actually, he loves Lily!

What he loves is the appearance of this body!

At least that’s the case for now.

Of course, she would never say that aloud.

Instead, she put on a shy expression.

"Although he isn’t my father, I think he’s probably better than my father."

She guessed that even though Snape was standing some distance away, he was still listening.

Sure enough, the corners of Snape’s mouth lifted when he heard her words.

Madam Malkin stopped chatting with her and quickly finished fitting the robes.

Vesey was amazed.

Are clothes really made this quickly here?

At some point during the fitting, Snape had apparently gone out for a while. Vesey was beginning to think that shopping must be terribly boring for him.

Soon, Snape returned with a piece of ice cream for her.

Vesey opened it and began eating, looking at Snape in surprise.

If this guy had been this considerate in front of Lily, he might already have a child of his own.

Tsk.

What a miserable man.

She scooped up a spoonful of ice cream and happily put it into her mouth.

Madam Malkin soon finished the robes.

Just as he had said, Snape carefully checked every piece of clothing to make sure there was nothing wrong with them before finally leaving the shop.

"Let’s go buy books next!"

Snape announced.

He called Colma and asked her to return the robes to Vesey’s room.

"Do you like reading?"

Snape suddenly asked.

Vesey hesitated.

Should I say that I don’t like reading?

As an adult, of course I’d rather look at my phone!

So she honestly shook her head.

"I’ve never really read books, so I don’t know whether I like them or not."

Snape turned around and stared at her in shock.

"You’ve never been to school?"

Why are you saying that like it’s so strange?

After all, she had graduated from university after four years!

"Well, I never went to school. In the past, the matron had people teach us how to read in the orphanage. I only learned those basics..."

Snape’s expression darkened.

Lily’s child had never even gone to school!

However, he was afraid of frightening Vesey, so he forced an awkward smile.

"If you haven’t read books before, then you haven’t read them. Come on. Let’s go inside and buy some books. We’ll buy whatever you like!"

Vesey nodded vigorously.

They entered Flourish and Blotts Bookshop.

Books were stacked all the way to the ceiling, and there were all kinds of books everywhere.

Vesey’s eyes drifted toward a particularly mischievous-looking book.

She really wanted to pick it up.

But for the sake of maintaining her current persona, she decided against it.

Instead, she pretended to be completely lost and let Snape choose some books for her.

When they came out of Flourish and Blotts, Snape was carrying a large pile of books.

There were textbooks for her courses, as well as plenty of storybooks intended for younger children.

Vesey also noticed a book with a pink cover.

When she opened it, she found that it was a book about changing clothes for young witches.

The witch on the pages would even twist her body and let out little cries of excitement or praise.

Could an ordinary man really think of something like this?

Snape, you’re the ruthless one! You even know what little girls like to play with!
