Hogwarts Diary: Snape Goes Crazy
Chapter 39: S-Rank Evaluation
Chapter 39: Chapter 39: S-Rank Evaluation
Chapter Thirty-Nine: S-Rank Evaluation
Slytherin Dormitory
Vesey put away her quill and listened to the System’s announcement.
[Ding! The third diary entry has been completed. Evaluation in progress.]
[Ding! Diary holder Dumbledore’s trust level: 88%.]
[Ding! Diary holder Snape’s trust level: 99%.]
[Ding! Diary holder Hermione Granger’s trust level: 95%.]
[Ding! Diary holder Minerva McGonagall’s trust level: 90%.]
Vesey was surprised by the trust levels this time.
Even Dumbledore had reached 88%.
Although he had only increased by three points compared with last time, Vesey hadn’t had particularly high hopes for him to begin with.
She had even thought that Dumbledore might remain at his previous trust level.
Perhaps it was because she had praised Dumbledore so highly in this diary entry that his trust in her had increased by three points.
And then there was Professor McGonagall.
She was the one who surprised Vesey the most.
The first time, her trust level had been 90%. Sure enough, what Vesey wanted from Professor McGonagall had worked perfectly and left a strong impression.
Although Professor McGonagall looked like a stern, no-nonsense woman, she was actually a brave Gryffindor who cared deeply about her students.
As for Snape and Hermione, those two were simply basic operations.
The reason their trust levels were so high was that Vesey had written about both of them in considerable depth.
For example, Snape was thinking about Lily, and being buried beside Lily after his death was practically an honor for him.
And Hermione...
She was an emotional girl. As long as death and her feelings were mentioned in the diary, once she slowly came to understand what death meant, she would naturally believe it.
Vesey smiled.
Hopefully, the evaluation would be even higher this time.
[Ding! Evaluation complete.]
[The comprehensive evaluation of the third diary entry is: S-Rank.]
Vesey nearly jumped up in excitement.
She knew the evaluation this time would definitely be high!
If it had still been A-Rank, she would have strangled the System.
[Ding! The host has reached an S-Rank evaluation. An additional opportunity to randomly select a diary holder has been granted. Would you like to draw now?]
Huh?
Vesey’s face fell.
Another one?
What if her evaluation dropped because of it?
Was the System rewarding her, or was it simply trying to make things difficult for her?
But when she thought about it, having more people read the diary was actually quite beneficial to her.
It was like having more people like her...
Well.
It seemed that was about the only benefit.
It wasn’t particularly exciting, was it?
[Ding! If the host does not draw a new diary holder now, the System will automatically draw one before the next diary entry is written.]
Vesey immediately chose to draw.
Doing it now would allow her to understand who the new holder was and figure out how to deal with them.
Then she could try to get another S-Rank evaluation next time.
[Ding! Beginning random selection of diary holder.]
[Ding! Selection successful. The next diary holder is: Voldemort.]
Vesey: "..."
Vesey: "!!!"
Although from the moment she obtained the diary, Vesey had known that Voldemort would probably become one of its holders eventually...
She hadn’t expected it to happen this soon!
She thought about what she had written in her diary.
Fortunately, she hadn’t described the specific process of the final battle. She had only written about the results and the deaths of several people.
Snape was dead.
Dumbledore was dead.
And although Voldemort had lost the final battle, from his perspective, this could still be considered half a victory.
That half-victory would give Voldemort at least fifty percent confidence.
Vesey rubbed her forehead.
It seemed that the next time she wrote in her diary, she would have to focus on the final battle.
She needed to make Voldemort believe that he had died because of his own carelessness—that Vesey had blocked the spell meant for Harry, which ultimately led to his defeat.
That way, Voldemort would believe everything had simply been an accident.
If he took the battle seriously and didn’t underestimate his opponent, he would definitely be able to kill the protagonist, Harry.
As for the inaccuracies and ambiguities in the diary, those were perfectly normal.
She believed Dumbledore and the others would understand.
After all, she was writing the diary as a Muggle.
No matter how much other people told her, what could she do if she didn’t fully understand the magical world?
That was it.
Vesey smiled.
She would think carefully about the next diary entry and try again when the time came.
[Ding! Rewards have been prepared. Would the host like to claim them directly?]
Vesey hesitated for a moment before choosing to claim them.
It shouldn’t hurt, right?
Probably?
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for acquiring the skill: Photographic Memory.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Affinity Aura. After activation, anyone who already has a favorable impression of the host will have their favorability increased by 20 points. In addition, anyone who dislikes the host will have their favorability decreased by 20 points.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining Potion Talent +10.]
[Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Vampire Conversion Potion formula. After a vampire takes it, their craving for blood can be eliminated for one month. If they wish to return from being a vampire to an ordinary wizard, they only need to take the potion continuously for one year.]
[Ding! Energy +500.]
Vesey stared at the rewards in surprise.
Photographic memory was practically a standard feature for transmigrators. Now she could completely remember all the contents of the novels she had read.
She could even recall videos she had watched before.
Why, in one particular clip, she could even remember what kind of underwear the heroine was wearing...
Well, shoes.
She could even remember the color of the shoes.
The Affinity Aura was also pretty good.
It could make people who already had a bad impression of her dislike her even more.
But that was about it.
Still, it might be quite interesting to have some little villain constantly provoking her.
The Potion Talent bonus was even better for Vesey.
She imagined Snape would be very happy if he knew that she had such a strong talent for Potions.
Oh, and then there was the Vampire Conversion Potion.
It could actually eliminate a vampire’s bloodlust.
Wizards hated werewolves and vampires alike.
Both creatures could transform other people at will, and both possessed extremely powerful physical abilities.
Although, because of the existence of the Ministry of Magic, these creatures could only survive in the shadows, if a wizard encountered one of them, there was little they could do except admit their bad luck.
