Hogwarts Diary: Snape Goes Crazy

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 You can take my surname...”
Chapter 7
Vesey was amused by him.
She smiled.
Snape stared at her in a daze.
"Lily..."
He called her name softly.
Vesey didn’t hear him, but she could see the expression on his face.
She sighed and changed the subject.
"By the way, I just remembered. You said I was a wizard. Am I really a wizard?"
Dumbledore nodded.
"Yes, you are a witch. Any child who receives an admission letter from Hogwarts is a wizard or witch."
Vesey seemed a little worried.
"What if it was sent by mistake?"
Dumbledore shook his head, amused.
"Child, magic doesn’t work that way. Of course, if you’re still worried, give me a drop of your blood, and I can verify it for you right here."
Dumbledore intended to take this opportunity to confirm whether Vesey was really Lily’s daughter.
Snape didn’t object. He wanted to know as well.
Vesey nodded and held out her hand.
Dumbledore was about to take it when Snape slapped his hand away.
"Don’t touch her, Dumbledore!"
He glared at Dumbledore.
Then he stepped toward Vesey with his wand.
He lightly tapped the tip of his wand against Vesey’s hand, and a tiny cut appeared.
Blood flowed from it.
He waved his wand again, and the blood floated through the air toward Dumbledore.
At the same time, the wound on Vesey’s hand returned to normal.
It didn’t even hurt.
"Magic really is amazing!"
she exclaimed, touching her hand.
Not only could they draw blood without causing pain, they could even use it to verify her identity.
Snape nodded with reserved satisfaction.
"There are even more amazing things than this. I’ll teach you all about them in the future!"
While Dumbledore was performing the blood test, he glanced at Snape speechlessly.
Was this really the same cold-faced professor he knew?
It was almost unbearable to watch.
Vesey thought it was perfectly fine.
After all, ever since she learned that the system had given her this identity, she had known that Snape was bound to lose his composure.
She tilted her head and asked hesitantly, "If I can’t learn something, you won’t hit me, right?
"I’m stupid and can’t do many things well. The matron always knocks me on the head and calls me a fool.
"If I’m really too stupid, could you please not hit me on the head? It hurts so much!"
Snape’s expression turned murderous.
That woman was dead.
Of course, he still answered seriously:
"No professor at Hogwarts would ever physically punish a student for being stupid.
"If a professor at Hogwarts ever hits you, you must tell me. I’ll speak to them about it personally, one by one!"
Dumbledore: "..."
Are you really saying this when you’re the one who sprays venom all over the classroom?
Have you ever wondered why you’re the professor the students fear most?
Snape had completely forgotten himself and was still enthusiastically telling Vesey about all the wonderful things at Hogwarts.
When Dumbledore finally finished the verification and confirmed that Vesey was Harry’s twin sister, Snape’s expression became even gentler.
If Vesey hadn’t known the original story, she might have thought Snape was actually a good man.
"Good girl, I’ve confirmed that you really are a witch. And using your blood just now, we also discovered your true identity."
Dumbledore said this with a smile.
It was as though they had never known anything about Vesey’s background and had only just discovered her parents through a single drop of blood.
What about the horoscope?
Vesey grumbled inwardly.
But she held it back.
She put on an expression of excitement mixed with anxiety.
"Really? Who are my parents? Will they like me? I’m so ordinary and so stupid..."
Snape looked at her expression with deep sorrow.
Lily had always been lively, adorable, and confident, yet her daughter had been raised to be so insecure and pitiful.
And she had even...
The thought of everything that had happened to Vesey left Snape heartbroken.
"Your mother’s name is Lily Evans. She’s a little angel, just like you. She’s intelligent, kind, beautiful, and an excellent student.
"You also have an older brother. His name is Harry Potter, and your father is James Potter.
"If they knew you existed, they would have been very happy. Lily would definitely have held you in her arms.
"She told people more than once that she only had one son because she really wanted a daughter—a girl who looked very much like her..."
Snape’s eyes gradually reddened as he spoke.
If only Lily were still here!
He forced a sad smile, afraid that he would frighten Vesey.
Of course, Vesey looked surprised.
Actually, I just want to laugh.
Lily had received so many compliments, and then Harry and James got mentioned almost as an afterthought.
Snape, you’re really something.
She sighed inwardly with a smile.
Then she asked expectantly, "What about them? Can I go and meet them?"
The expressions of both Dumbledore and Snape darkened.
"They... have all passed away..."
Snape said softly, though the words were cruel.
"You only have one brother, who is the same age as you—Harry Potter."
The smile disappeared from Vesey’s face.
She lowered her head, her entire body filled with sadness.
Snape stood beside her with reddened eyes, looking helplessly at Dumbledore. He didn’t know how to comfort her.
Dumbledore let out a breath.
Please, just completely ignore me, why don’t you?
Do you remember that I’m here when it comes to this sort of thing?
But of course, he couldn’t really stand by and do nothing.
He said softly:
"Don’t be sad. They were heroes in the wizarding world. They were killed by a dark wizard named Voldemort. Something happened to Voldemort when he tried to kill your brother, and there has been no news of him since."
Vesey looked up.
She put on a blank expression.
"I always thought they didn’t want me anymore, but it turns out they aren’t here anymore.
"If they were still here, they would definitely come looking for me, wouldn’t they?"
she asked Snape and Dumbledore.
The two were silent for a moment.
Lily and James had never even known that this child existed.
Even if they were still alive, there was no way they could come looking for Vesey.
But when they saw the hopeful expression on Vesey’s face, they nodded.
Snape even said, "If Lily knew about you, she would definitely have loved you very much. Of course, I can’t say the same for your father. As far as I know, he might prefer boys!"
Vesey almost choked.
Good grief. Snape gets a hundred points for slandering a dead man!
Dumbledore stared at Snape in disbelief.
This man was taking advantage of James being dead and unable to defend himself to slander him however he pleased!
He coughed heavily twice.
Snape pretended not to hear him and continued telling Vesey, "From now on, just act as though you don’t have a father. You can even take my surname..."
"Ahem! Ahem! Ahem! Ahem!"
Dumbledore coughed violently.
