The door opened completely.

White light poured across the ancient desert, swallowing the temple behind Kael.

He stepped forward. Lena followed.

Azael, Elias, the fifth and sixth children entered together.

The older Azrael stayed behind.

Kael looked back.

“My memory ends here,” the stranger said.

“Remember who you were before they named you.”

The door vanished.

Silence returned.

Kael stood in darkness.

Then he heard his own voice.

“Welcome home.”

He turned, but nothing was there.

Lena touched his shoulder.

“Kael?”

“That voice...”

“It sounded like you.”

“It was me.”

A red light appeared beneath their feet.

A platform rose.

Seven symbols surrounded it.

Six began glowing.

The seventh remained black.

The sixth child fell.

“Something is wrong.”

Kael rushed toward him.

The child pointed at the seventh symbol.

“It knows my name.”

A whisper moved through the chamber.

“ELIAS.”

Elias froze.

His golden veins flashed.

Then another voice called.

“LENA.”

Her red symbol ignited.

“AZAEL.”

His mark burned.

“AZRAEL.”

Kael’s entire body shook.

Black wings erupted from the fifth child.

Then the seventh symbol opened.

A massive white eye appeared.

Kael raised his sword.

“Show yourself.”

The eye blinked.

Kael stood beside a river of white fire. Across it stood seven figures: six children and one man.

The man looked exactly like him, but his eyes were completely black.

“Who is that man?”

The voice answered.

“You.”

Kael shook his head.

“No.”

“You before memory.”

“You before division.”

“Why was I divided?”

“Because the First Soul was too powerful to remain whole.”

Azael appeared beside Kael.

“Who divided us?”

“Your creators feared you.”

Lena stepped forward.

“And the seventh?”

The figure became silent.

Something enormous moved beneath the white flames.

The fifth child whispered, “It is coming.”

A gigantic hand rose from the river.

Its fingers were covered in black eyes.

Kael raised his sword.

The hand stopped.

Then the black-eyed version of Kael spoke.

“Do not fight it.”

Kael stared.

“Why?”

“Because it is not coming for you.”

The hand opened.

Inside its palm was a tiny black cradle.

The sixth child screamed.

“That is where I was taken.”

Kael stepped forward.

A voice came from the cradle.

“Brother...”

The black-eyed version smiled.

“The memory has awakened.”

The river exploded.

The hand reached toward Kael.

He raised his sword.

But before he could strike, Lena grabbed his arm.

“Listen.”

The voice came again.

“Azrael...”

This time, it was not his voice.

It was the voice of a woman.

A woman of white fire appeared across the river.

Kael’s breath stopped.

He knew her.

From his blood.

“Mother...”

The woman looked directly at him.

“Finally.”

The black-eyed version lowered his head.

“The First Soul remembers.”

The woman lifted her hand.

Behind her, the white sky cracked.

Something older than darkness appeared beyond it.

And she whispered,

“It has found us again.”

The six children joined hands.

Kael raised his sword.

The enemy opened its eyes.

And the seventh symbol finally awakened.
