Chapter 1218: Divine Battle! (Part 3)
Moonfire!
As Duncan lifted his hand, the moonfire signifying the domain of the moon ignited, attaching itself to the sword dancers, including Trist. The venom crippling him was easily neutralized by the Divine Spirit.
The naked silhouette of the Gloomy Maiden was cloaked in a hazy veil, like a thin gauze of moonlight. Her peerless beauty did not hinder her fierce swordsmanship, the sliver strands of her hair dancing like rhythmic waves under the moon, beautiful yet deadly, though she deliberately held back, sparing many of the Zor Elf assassins.
“Still holding back at a time like this?” Duncan shook his head in disbelief.
The Divine Spirit favored all the lost Zor Elves and refrained from killing unless necessary. But holding back now seemed rather foolish.
Perhaps she thought these mortals posed no real threat.
She merely intended to repel them, not to slaughter them.
She did not wish to kill.
Yet, Velen wished to kill her.
A hidden dark light emerged, and in that fleeting instant, the mesmerizing figure dancing under the moon, the Gloomy Maiden – Qi, the moonlit lady, had her long silver hair slashed, and in a pained groan, she was impaled in the abdomen, her Divinity seemingly gravely wounded.
Shadow Flicker.
Velen’s Divine Artifact—a short sword.
Velen held the divine position of theft, possessing stealth and concealment capabilities that even Divine Spirits found hard to detect.
With a calculated preemptive strike, Velen severely injured Qi with just one move.
“This fellow is truly a dog.”
“Despite being slightly stronger than Qi, he only thinks of ambushing.”
Velen’s lips curled into a smirk of success as he instantly activated his command over the domain of deception, abandoning those decoy mortals, dragging Qi into the shadow realm.
With the extension concept of the wanderer, the shadow realm was his arena.
Only then did an incredulous Qi realize that her brother truly attempted to kill her.
Has he lost his mind?
Seeking revenge not on their mother, the Spider Queen Rose, but rushing at her with everything?
The lunar domain opened.
In this kingdom of shadows, no moon existed, yet now, Qi was the radiant moon suspended over the shadow realm.
Radiance of the Moon.
Silver Moon Longsword.
The Gloomy Maiden – Qi’s naked silhouette danced, a greatsword gathered of moonlight, the Divine Artifact – Moon Sword emerged in her palm, finally unsheathed at this moment.
“But she’s already lost the initiative.” Duncan uttered a soft sigh.
It’s my turn now.
No.
Someone’s already struggling to hold back.
Under the laws of the shadow realm, a great spiderweb sealed the space, filled with divine power from Spider Queen Rose. Upon ascending to mighty divine power, her web of shadows grew formidable, like a black widow spider, capturing her prey in the web, waiting for them to slaughter each other before reaping the rewards.
Duncan even sensed a slight influence from the law of fate, reserved only within the Zor Elves, as Spider Queen Rose secretly manipulated the fate lines of two Divine Spirits, for they too were Dark Elves, with Rose capable of interfering slightly.
The fate weaver, Spider Queen Rose, in her most powerful form.
“A fire is needed now to burn away this web.”
“Let me think.”
“Who can save Qi now?”
Forget it.
I’ll personally take action.
Yet, the current strength of the Spider Queen is formidable, the demon avatar cannot remain idle; it’s time to backstab her, adjust position, and strike again.
If not, should Velen fall immediately, Duncan won’t even have a sip of the soup.
Duncan’s target is clear.
Velen’s divine positions are trash, but the deception and travel abilities are useful, and devouring a weak divine power is just like consuming a Demigod’s divine power.
Of course, the cake can’t be eaten alone, allies need a bite too, and the Five-Colored Dragon Queen Tiamat is eagerly awaiting, preparing for a mid-tier divine power ascension.
Having acquired the essence from Duncan, the facet of the creator Mother Goddess, Tiamat’s goal is singular, mighty divine power.
The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind.
Velen can die, but Qi is better alive; otherwise, no one can curb Spider Queen Rose’s influence over the Zor Elves.
Normally, with Qi fallen, the elven Main God Corellon steps in, turning the mother-daughter conflict into a marital battle.
But such transformation doesn’t align with Duncan’s interests, who seeks to seize benefits from the chaos while preserving Qi’s life.
Duncan silently grasped the holy avenger.
Unlike before.
This time, the embedded Tyr’s Eye on the holy avenger’s hilt shone with brilliant righteous light!
I am the embodiment of justice.
………
Tyr’s Eye, so useful Duncan almost wants to steal it.
