Therefore, she wanted to overcome it to the best of her abilities.

“Tell me anytime if you can’t bear it,” Gauss said.

Seeing her stand up again and take a few steps, Gauss didn’t worry too much. Although she stumbled a little, it seemed she had no problem controlling her body. Humans were a highly adaptable species, and she should possess this ability as well. Furthermore, despite her frail appearance, Gauss’s Perception told him that her physical strength was roughly on par with a Level 2 Warrior. She was by no means a weak, defenseless girl.

Exiting the passage, Gauss activated Wind Walk, leading the group upward along the rift space. The moment they passed through the rift, blinding sunlight poured down from above.

Floating in the sky, You stared at the azure sky, the dark earth carpeted in green grass, and the light green mountains and woodlands in the distance. She looked as if she had been deeply startled. This unprecedented scenery rushed into her eyes, completely overwhelming her mind. Her eyes hungrily devoured everything around her. She marveled at how rich and vibrant the colors of the world could be, swallowing hard in awe.

On the flight back, she curiously asked the others about every new thing she hadn’t seen before. Serving as the “translator,” Gauss connected her with Aaliyah and the rest using Spiritual Power.

“Is this your tribe?” You couldn’t help but marvel as she looked at the luxurious manor around them. This was the umpteenth time she had exclaimed in wonder since coming outside.

“Sort of, but we don’t have that many people. Just five hundred,” Aaliyah added.

“Five hundred?!” You’s eyes widened. She was completely baffled that this could be considered “not many.”

The members of the Red Dragon Team who woke up early greeted Gauss and the others one after another. They had no idea that Gauss’s group had been busy all night, assuming they had just woken up like the rest of them.

After breakfast, Gauss arranged a room for You. He then returned to his own room to meditate and get some rest. He didn’t leave his room until noon, arriving just in time for lunch.

Throughout the morning, the Red Dragon Team members hadn’t engaged in any extra activities. The monsters roaming the wilderness were relatively fewer compared to the night, and Adventurers needed to maintain a certain intensity of daily training. Therefore, even during their downtime without battles, they would organize training sessions. They either practiced Swordsmanship or Spells individually in private, or found an empty spot in squads to practice their coordination and teamwork.

“Mr. Commander, the supplies Baron Valentine sent over this morning have already been moved into the warehouse. When would you like to store them in your bracelet?” Shortly after Gauss left his room, Chief Steward Ivan hurried over to report. “Additionally, the Baron would like to invite you to the town.”

“Alright, I’ll head over in a bit,” Gauss replied.

The supplies stored in Gauss’s bracelet were enough to feed the entire Red Dragon Team for two months without restraint. However, those were emergency rations. Even if he had enough, he wouldn’t use them casually. After all, the local Baron being responsible for providing supplies throughout the mission was clearly stipulated in the commission. It wasn’t as if he was intentionally taking advantage of the situation.

During lunch, as some members walked past Gauss and his group, they curiously glanced at the uniquely featured girl who was babbling in some strange language. Most of them were probably wondering how, overnight, a stranger they had never seen before—one who looked like some kind of demi-human—had suddenly appeared by Gauss’s side.

“This is delicious! This is good too!”

In reality, if they could understand You’s language, they would know that she was simply devouring her food with single-minded focus. As the first person from that earthen world to “open her eyes to the outside,” everything around her was wonderfully novel.

Because of this, Gauss brought her along on his trip to Warren Castle in the afternoon. However, upon entering the town, he handed her over to Aaliyah and the others, letting them roam around the castle town on their own.

“Commander Gauss, I apologize for inviting you to the castle again.

“Your team’s outstanding efficiency last night was truly breathtaking.”

Inside the frigid main keep, Gauss once again met the local Baron Valentine. The way the Baron looked at Gauss held even more respect than it had yesterday. Hearing about something was never as good as seeing it for oneself. If his respect for Gauss yesterday had been due to those exaggerated rumors, the intelligence his subordinates brought back last night proved that the other party’s strength was genuinely formidable.

At the very least, the combat prowess of him and the Baron Guard was vastly inferior to that of the Red Dragon Team. They could only rely on the defensive fortifications of the castle and manors to shrink their defensive lines and hold onto their current meager territory. If he possessed strength like Gauss’s, he would never have ordered his people to abandon vast swaths of farmland and villages. Those were his properties, after all!

Because of this, he had ordered his men to deliver the supplies the Red Dragon Team needed to Lavender Manor early this morning. Worrying that his hospitality yesterday had been lacking, he had someone invite Gauss to the main keep to entertain him again.

“This is wine brewed by our local winery. The flavor is quite different from fruit wines from other regions. Please have a taste, Commander Gauss. If you like it, I still have dozens of barrels in my cellar that I can have brought up.”

Looking at the exceedingly polite Baron, Gauss didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He wondered if the Baron was worried that he wouldn’t put effort into his work. In reality, all of this was unnecessary. Since he had accepted the commission, he would do his job properly. Besides, he needed to kill monsters to become stronger. Even though he had discovered a new minor world, he wouldn’t delay the serious business at hand.
