I Am Not A Goblin Slayer
Chapter 1063 - 507: Brand New Blue Ocean
There were many monster species in the small world, but the outside world also had no shortage of new monsters from the Giant Tooth Highlands. He even had a faint feeling that the small world overflowing with earth-attribute Magic Power might have some special relationship with the Giant Tooth Highlands. After all, both were lands overflowing with earth elements. Perhaps they had generated a mutual attraction, which led to the formation of the connection entrance he discovered last night.
"There is no need to be so polite, Baron. This is all within my duties. I appreciate the gesture with the wine, but it is not suitable to drink too much during a commission," Gauss said.
Seeing that Gauss did not accept his gift, the Baron felt a bit regretful. For a heaven-chosen genius like Gauss, if not for the coincidence of this commission, Valentine probably would never have crossed paths with him in his entire life. Naturally, he wanted to use this opportunity to forge a closer relationship with Gauss. It would be ideal if they could form a personal friendship. To this end, he had specifically offered the aged wine his family had treasured for decades. But unfortunately, the young man seemed to have used Detection to sense his intention to befriend him, lightly refusing and drawing an invisible boundary between them.
"If you need anything, please contact me anytime," Valentine said, though he sighed inwardly.
The next two days passed uneventfully.
Gauss spent his days taking short rests and practicing. When night fell, he spent the first half of the night leading his companions from the Red Dragon Team on sweeps around Warren Castle, clearing out any monsters they saw on the wasteland. Gauss estimated that at this rate, they would be able to completely eradicate the monsters in eighty percent of the areas surrounding Warren Castle in another ten days. In the latter half of the night, when the rest of the Red Dragon Team gradually returned to the manor to rest, Gauss’s private time began. He would lead Aaliyah and a few others back through the rift entrance into the Elemental World for exploration. The exploration would usually last until early morning, at which point they would leave the small world and return to the manor to rest.
Thus, time flashed by, and it was the fifth day since their arrival at Warren Castle.
The total kill count in Gauss’s Monster Atlas had unknowingly reached 110,000. The recorded Ordinary Monsters grew rapidly, quietly reaching over 150 species, while the elite monster records also reached 73 species.
In the afternoon, Lavender Manor was bustling with activity.
The blacksmith team led by Albena was busy smelting beside the forging furnace they had set up in the manor. The minerals mined from the Elemental World had a very high iron content, and their composition seemed somewhat different from ordinary steel. Although they were far from reaching the level of Magic materials, their performance was much better than ordinary pig iron, and their true advantage lay in their sheer quantity. Therefore, Gauss had mined quite a bit of it. Albena was responsible for smelting these ores into sturdy steel, which was then forged into various types of light, medium, and even heavy Armor.
This Armor would be prioritized for sale to the members of the Red Dragon Team at seventy percent of the market price. Purchases were temporarily limited to one set per person to quickly recoup funds. At the same time, this was considered a kind of welfare that could effectively improve the combat power of the team members. Because Albena’s forging skills were far superior to those of ordinary blacksmiths, combined with the excellent performance of the materials and the lower prices, the enthusiasm of the Red Dragon Team members for purchasing the gear was incredibly high. Almost everyone wanted to buy a new set of Armor. Even with the impressive forging efficiency of Albena’s team, the current backlog of orders stretched out for more than a month.
"Serdur, the heavy Armor you requested has been forged. Come over and try it on," Albena called out. As a core member, Serdur naturally enjoyed priority privileges.
