I Am Not a Villain, Okay?

Chapter 1: Evil In Heart

  • Next Chapter

Inside the train, a man wearing headphones was scrolling through his phone. The train wasn’t packed, but it still had a lot of people.

Everyone was minding their own business, some even taking a nap in their seat. Suddenly, the light inside the train flickered a few times.

This didn’t catch his attention. Some people seemed to have noticed it, but suddenly, only the man wearing the headphones was left inside the train.

The train slowly came to a stop, and the man put the phone in his pocket. Just as he was about to step out, he turned back, and his eyes showed confusion.

’Where are all the people? Did I miss a station or two?’

Despite thinking about it, he didn’t step out. He couldn’t help but get a strange feeling about this.

He raised his head, looking above the door where the destination name should be written in a display.

But instead of showing any destination, it was blank. This confused and frustrated him.

Suddenly, the light flickered, and the man found himself outside the train. The doors closed immediately, and the train moved away.

"Oh no, no, wait! Wait! Wait!"

The man tried shouting, but the train didn’t stop. He couldn’t chase it because the train moved too fast, faster than its usual initial speed.

More importantly, he hadn’t landed at a train station.

It was a vast span of land that gave an eerie feeling. The air was cold and humid. The ground had no pavement, and the light was barely present.

"Alright! Levi, this is just a normal Tuesday for you."

He slapped himself on both of his cheeks and gathered some courage. He couldn’t wait here and do nothing.

He had to find where he was and whether that train had taken him to another world.

He walked forward. There was no other place to walk. He desperately tried to find any coffin or graveyard but didn’t see anything close.

He walked for a while until he came in front of a guy.

That’s right!

It was just a guy. Except he had an aura around him that looked so weirdly eerie.

’So, it’s not a wizard, I guess? He is holding a staff. But this guy...He oozes villainy.’

From close up, Levi could see the face.

There was no trace of warmth or even a normal expression. He just looked scary.

"You..."

The man suddenly appeared in front of Levi and grabbed him by the shoulders.

"Why you?"

The man roared. His voice was so loud that it almost deafened Levi, but he couldn’t move his hand as he was held by this man.

’Did I provoke you?’

Levi was speechless. Although his ears and shoulders hurt, he chose to forget about the pain.

It wasn’t a skill or anything. It was just reflexes when a person gets in an accident and tries to ignore the injuries.

"Damn it!"

The man roared with unwillingness, but he released Levi.

What surprised Levi was that he didn’t have any broken bones or anything.

Despite being so angry, this man’s control over his strength was impressive.

"Alas! My legacy....Is it just going to end here?"

The man sighed. His eyes no longer looked domineering like before. Instead, they lost all their light.

The man had clearly suffered a huge blow.

"Umm! Am I lacking something? I mean, except for strength and supernatural abilities." 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

Levi, clearly offended by those words, asked.

The man glanced at him and said.

"Spiritual Root and Dantian!"

’Aren’t those the things needed for cultivation?’

Levi thought to himself.

’So, this guy is a cultivator who managed to open a spatial passage to my world in order to pass down his legacy.’

’Then again, how can I possess those things?’

"So, without those things, I can’t inherit your legacy."

Levi asked.

The man sighed. He clearly didn’t want to talk about it, but realizing that this might be his last moments, he decided to explain.

"I am a cultivator. Heaven forbade my technique, and during my battle with Heaven, I died."

"I used the last of my strength to send my soul into another world. I waited here to pass down my legacy before this soul disappears."

Hearing that, Levi frowned.

’So, he doesn’t know this world has no one with a spiritual root.’

"Mr. Cultivator, this might be bad news for you, but there is no one with a spiritual root in my world. You came to the wrong world."

The man’s eyes showed bloodshot.

"You think I don’t understand it. When I brought you here, I used a technique to guide the fated one."

"The one who can inherit my legacy, the one who can bring my legacy to its peak- you are the chosen one, but even you don’t have the spiritual root."

Levi was stunned.

Being so ordinary all his life, he never thought he would become a chosen one one day.

’Do I have anything special?’

Levi contemplated. He shook his head.

He lived a pretty normal life. In his childhood, he loved playing sports, but due to his lack of skills and practice, he was the worst player in the field.

He loved computer science, but due to his lack of seriousness, he couldn’t get good grades in mathematics.

So, he chose another major where he didn’t need maths.

He finished college and found a job. This didn’t seem like anything bad, but nothing anything amazing.

He did lack a girlfriend. Maybe it’s because he spent most of his time watching Hentai instead of going out and finding a girlfriend.

But besides these things, he pretty much had a normal life.

"Boy, are you doubting yourself?"

The man sneered.

"You have the heart of an Evil. You have just suppressed those desires because you are afraid."

Levi hurriedly shook his head.

"Impossible! I can’t watch horror movies. I can barely watch bloody scenes. I hate when villains get all the praise."

"Except for maybe lust, I don’t have any evil in my heart. I even get sad for the dog who can’t get proper food to eat despite my fear of dogs."

Hearing that, the man snorted.

"At least you have a good understanding of yourself. That evil is lust! You are the perfect candidate to inherit my legacy."

"I am the Emperor of Lust, the Sin of Men, the Harem Lord, and I am looking for an individual who can bring these titles back to the world."

Looking at those eyes that were clearly pointing at him, Levi asked.

"Then, are you sure I should be the one? There should be hundreds of thousands more degenerates than me."

"If you really want to choose a degenerate, why not choose someone worse? It’s a pity you came in 2026."

"If you had become before 2019, you would’ve gotten the best degenerate our world has to offer."

Hearing that, the man roared.

"This is no joking matter. Only you can bring my legacy to the peak. Fate has chosen you."

Levi snorted.

"Then, fate clearly made a mistake. I have no spiritual root or dantian. How am I supposed to help you?"

"It’s not like you are going to put my soul into the body of another man."

Hearing that, the man paused.

’Wait! Why didn’t I think of that? I can’t do this because Heaven has already marked my soul.’

’But not his. Heaven doesn’t even know his existence. I can just put his soul into another body and let him possess that body.’

Suddenly, he smiled.

"Boy, the Fate truly did choose you. You’ve given me a wonderful idea."

Without any hesitation, he came forward and placed his hand on Levi’s head.

"Wait, wait, are you really going to do that? Shouldn’t we talk more? Shouldn’t I know more about you?"

"And the idea of occupying others’ bodies, that feels so wrong. Can’t you just isekai me into another world?"

The man rolled his eyes. He got the feeling that Levi was a weird guy.

Levi clearly didn’t feel anything bad about leaving his world. He had lived a good life, a slightly incomplete but good nonetheless.

Suddenly, the man’s body became more transparent as a lot of the information entered Levi’s soul.

Levi felt the pain of a level that he couldn’t even comprehend, but surprisingly enough, he was able to remember every single thing.

Harem Lord was stitching those memories into Levi’s soul, placing something far greater than his memories into his body.

During this time, he found almost everything about Levi’s world from his memories and decided to seal most of his knowledge alongside his memories.

He found a perfect way to distribute that knowledge while also inspiring Levi to work hard.

On the other hand, he did this to seal Levi from his memories of this world. He didn’t want anyone to reveal Levi’s memories and find his existence.

At the same time, a whirlpool appeared above Levi. A white figure escaped his body, with a cluster of golden barriers around it, protecting that figure.

In an instant, that figure was sucked into the blue whirlpool, but the man’s eyes widened in shock.

"No, that’s not my world. He is not supposed to go there."

Unfortunately, his body had already become transparent, as he was unable to do anything.
