Chapter 13: Martial Techniques

After ten minutes, the vice-principal blocked Levi’s fist and said.

"Let’s stop here!"

"Hooo!"

Levi released a deep breath, but he was panting. His body was covered in sweat, and his blood energy was drained heavily.

"Great! You have perfected Five Beasts Form, Levi. From the establishment of North Star High School, there has not been a single genius like you."

The face of the vice principal was beaming with joy. He never thought he would wake up today and find a genius in his school.

Levi nodded, but there was joy in being recognized as a genius in his eyes.

"With you, our city might be able to take a position in the top thousand in the Genius Ranking. By the way, did you come here for Grade Two Martial Art?"

The vice principal asked.

Levi nodded.

The vice principal turned towards the library attendant and said.

"Otto, I am leaving this to you."

He patted Levi on the shoulder and said.

"Keep training hard! The reputation of our school will depend on you."

Levi gave him an awkward smile while lowering his head.

He felt weird representing their school.

’Hahaha! I can’t wait to tell the principal about him.’

The vice principal excitedly laughed in his mind and ran out of the library.

"His smile was quite strange."

One of the students muttered, and everyone’s eyes suddenly fell on him.

But they didn’t say anything. They also felt that the vice principal was smiling too much.

"You students don’t understand the importance of this matter. If I am not wrong, your information will soon enter the ears of every single powerhouse in the city."

The library attendant spoke, drawing attention towards him.

Then, he looked at Levi and asked.

"What kind of Martial Art would you like to borrow?"

Levi thought for a moment.

"Something with great attack and dexterity!"

"Do you prefer a weapon?"

Levi thought for a moment.

’Having a weapon would be good. It’s always good to have a weapon.’

He nodded, and his eyes were drawn to the side. He saw John practicing the Five Beasts Form in the library.

It seemed like he indeed gained something, something enough to propel his mastery of this martial art.

The library attendant turned on a hologram through his tablet and showed him different martial arts categories based on their weapon of choice.

"Which weapon would you like to choose?"

’What kind of weapon will fit me?’

Levi tried to think. He extended his hand.

’Reach! I think Spear might be right. But I also like a sword. But a sword lacks power and focuses more on agility.’

’Of course, they also have great attack. But I think Spear is the one for me.’

He remembered holding his father’s spear a long time ago. That felt strangely good in his hand.

Even though he wasn’t strong enough to raise his father’s weapon at that time.

"Spear!"

"Not a bad option! But it will be harder to master. Do you want to apply for Spearmanship Technique?"

Hearing that, Levi gave him a confused look.

The library attendant shook his head.

"No, every Martial Technique can be given for free, but most people won’t be able to comprehend it."

Hearing his question, the library attendant coughed and said.

Levi nodded.

"I would like to get a Spear Technique and a Second Grade Spear Art."

The library attendant sighed a breath of relief.

"If you practice these two to a higher realm, you can come back and ask for a Movement Technique. For now, just focus on them!"

Levi nodded.

The library attendant opened the folder for the Spear Arts, and several options appeared in front of Levi.

Levi scrolled until he found a spear art perfect for him.

It was a thrust-type martial art that combined the dexterity to hit a fly with the speed of a bullet and the power of a bull.

More importantly, this Martial Art wasn’t exactly Second Grade. It was a Fifth Grade Martial Art, but there were a total of four moves.

Each move was a grade in itself.

The first move was a Second Grade Martial Art, which was enough to prove how powerful this martial art was.

The library attendant went back into the room where books were kept.

At this moment, John stopped his training and turned towards Levi.

Levi smiled.

John hadn’t reached Major Mastery. It wasn’t as easy as this.

After he finished that, he stopped.

John nodded and left the library. He even forgot to borrow a book he came here to borrow.

The other students started doing their own things. They weren’t as lucky as John, but they also understood a few things.

They planned to test it later.

After a while, the library attendant returned and plugged the memory card into his computer.

"Give me your phone!"

He said to Levi.

Levi took out his phone and passed it to the library attendant.

"The information on the Martial Art and Martial Technique will be transferred to your phone, but it will be highly encrypted."

"Only with your biological scan will you be able to read the information. But you have to be careful while copying it."

"Martial Technique doesn’t matter, but you can’t keep a copy of the Second Grade Martial Art."

He never thought the security for the second-grade martial art would be so strict.

The library attendant saw his expression and said.

"It is wrong behavior, and our government will not let it go unpunished. The only reason first-grade martial arts are free is to support humanity."
