Chapter 16: Start The Council

After returning home, Levi immediately took out his phone and started copying the information from the video.

Spear Technique’s information wasn’t encrypted, but the Spear Art was.

So, he had to copy everything. But before he copied the information, there was a video file that he had to open.

As he opened the video, the voice rang from the speakers as the picture started moving.

It was a middle-aged man holding a spear while talking.

"Hello, Spear Enthusiast! My name is Joey. I am the creator of the Star Crushing Spear Art. This Spear Art has a total of four moves."

"In this video, I am going to explain the first move- Starry Sky Thrust. It is a simple movement. Look!"

In the video, Joey thrust his spear forward. It was a simple thrust, but Levi noticed something.

The posture was extremely casual, but the spear didn’t vibrate even a little.

"If you notice something strange about the movement, then congratulations! You are a genius, and you should practice this spear art."

"If you have not, I will show you something else."

He picked up a smaller branch and thrust it forward like the spear. Just like his actual spear, the branch didn’t even tremble a little bit.

"If you still have not noticed the difference, then you should just give up Spear Art. Maybe using fists will be better, especially since you can use gauntlets."

As he said that, he pointed the spear towards a metal dummy and thrust his spear forward.

The tip of the spear pierced through the metal dummy.

"See this? I am not using any stance, but my spear is sharp enough to pierce through an iron plate without causing any deformation to the side."

"Of course, I am different from you. You are just starting with this Spear Art. So, I will teach the stance first."

"Now, grab the spear using your dominant hand and crouch down. One foot on the front, another on the back."

"Make a ’C’ with your arm while holding the spear. Can you see this?"

As he said, he performed the stance exactly as he described.

"Now, you release the spear forward. Your hand will jerk. Your muscles will tremble, and the air will exhale from your mouth."

"These are simple movements, so tiny that you might not notice, but these are the most important factors."

"Whether it is breathing, your hand movement, the trembling of the air, or even the release of the spear, there will be a lot of vibration."

"Perfecting this movement means keeping the vibration within the spear. It mustn’t spread out of the spear."

"When you achieve this level, you will find that all of the strength you are using to thrust this spear has reached the tip of the spear."

"At this moment, your spear isn’t moving faster than the speed of sound, nor does it have the weight of hundreds of tons."

"It simply has so much kinetic energy that when it is released from the tip, it is transmitted outward like a thin needle that can pierce through anything."

"This is Starry Sky Thrust. A thrust so sharp that it could reach the sky. Because there is nothing that can block it."

After finishing his movement, Joey put the spear down and said

"This is what I can show you. After this, you will need to practice it yourself. There isn’t a shortcut to strength."

"But there is a method to control the energy. You can use this method to control the kinetic energy in the spear."

"For those who are watching this video, I will be honest. It will take you anywhere from five to ten years to reach perfection."

"So, even if you achieve Minor Mastery in both the practice of spear movement and control of energy, you can say you have mastered this move."

"After that, you can try to access the second move, but you have to reach Martial Master Rank to use the second move."

Hearing that, Levi muttered.

"So, the Second Grade is for Martial Artists, not Martial Apprentices. Well, I can only train this right now."

He shook his head and started copying the files after the video ended. He got a pretty good understanding of the stance and the move.

But he had to check the files to understand the energy control method. It wasn’t that hard.

He made a copy of it and finally watched the video three more times before closing it.

The moment he closed it, the entire file got deleted.

Levi opened the Spear Technique file, and just like the previous one, it also had a video.

But surprisingly, it only had a video.

"Welcome to the Spearmanship Learning Class! I am your part-time Mathew."

When he heard that name, Levi’s eyes widened in shock. He quickly clicked the pause button.

Even though he lived in a small and rather weak city, he had heard about Mathew.

Levi quickly rushed into his drawer and took out a poster. On that poster, there was a tall man with silver hair, red eyes, and a long spear behind him.

"Oh my god! It’s the same. It’s the greatest talent our city has ever produced- Mathew Troy."

Levi’s excitement was going through the roof, and why wouldn’t it?

Nearly a hundred years ago, thousands of families from his city received a special nutritional liquid that permanently altered their cells.

This wasn’t a powerful mutation, but it gave them enough strength to become a Martial Artist.

His grandfather became a Martial Artist through that. His father became a Martial Master because of that, although it was a more indirect case for him.

In fact, if their city had received another genius within fifty years, it would’ve gotten that liquid again, adding more to the talent of his father’s generation.

’Now that I have a chance to become a genius. I must seize it with everything I’ve got.’

’The success of one person can lead to the success of thousands. I must lead my city towards prosperity, and the only way is to become an Evil God.’

Although Levi had some hesitation, he was more willing to become an Evil God now than before.

Although he was sure he wouldn’t go out of his way to do something nasty, he was more excited to find alternatives.

After all, in the path of Martial Arts, choosing to do something that you don’t like is more detrimental than not doing anything.

No matter how beneficial the Ultimate Evil God System was, he couldn’t bring himself to do bad things.

Since he couldn’t do that, he could rack his brain to find alternatives, something he wouldn’t find disgusting.

’I know what I need to do now.’

Levi clenched his fist and thought.

’System, register the name Council for my newly formed Secret Organization!’

’Code- I Am Not Evil’

’Rule No.1- Every council member must do everything in their power to invite other people to join the council.’

’Rule No. 2- Council shall rule the world through the shadows, becoming its darkness and choosing to watch over the world like an owl.’

’Rule No. 3- Council Member is not allowed to speak Council’s role to Outer Ring Member.’

’Rule No. 4- Council has every right to interfere in a conflict that has negative consequences for the people of this world.’

At this moment, the system suddenly spoke.

[Host, your Secret Organization is anything but evil. Your code name can’t be I Am Not Evil.]

Levi ignored the system’s complaint and continued.

’Rule No.5- The Final Interpretation of Council’s Main Goal belongs to the creator of the Council; thus, any and all actions performed by the Council are hence registered as evil.’

[Host, you do realize that for something to be considered Evil, there has to be something negative about it, especially emotions.]
