I Am Not a Villain, Okay?

Chapter 4: Not a Weak Hero

  • Next Chapter

"Are you so narrow-minded? Besides, you were the one who interrupted Mike."

Levi couldn’t stand Josh’s attitude. Something in him clicked in, as this shouldn’t be like this.

As if the roles had been reversed.

"Humph! I was telling the truth. It was you who started it all."

Josh’s face turned with anger. He did know it was his fault for speaking so loudly.

But how could he accept his mistake? If he accepted his mistake, how could he get a chance to bully these two?

Without wasting any more seconds, he raised his right hand and tried to grab Mike by his collar.

At this moment, the other students who hadn’t left the room were silently watching this.

Bullying was quite normal in the academy. They weren’t going to stand up and face Josh.

With his level six blood energy, his power was stronger than theirs.

Unfortunately, only Mike knew about Levi’s technique. If Josh knew that, he wouldn’t have made such a hasty attack.

Levi raised his hand and grabbed Josh’s wrist before it reached Mike. Without giving Josh any chance to react, he pulled him closer.

Although Josh wasn’t a martial artist, he did train his body. The moment Levi caught his hand, he reacted immediately.

He tried to pull back his hand but found himself unable to do it. His normal strength was ninety-two kilograms.

His base teenage strength should only be eighty kilograms, but the Blood Energy could improve a person’s strength, taking their base strength to another level.

Level One Blood Energy could increase one’s strength by one kilogram while practicing First Grade Technique based on their mastery.

Each realm added a kilogram to their base strength.

Level One Blood Energy could increase one’s strength by two kilograms while practicing Second Grade Technique based on their mastery.

More importantly,

Techniques gave control, while Arts gave form and meaning; one had energy, the other could boost that energy.

Levi practicing Second Grade Technique had the strength of ninety-eight kilograms. More importantly, he also had practiced Five Beasts Form to Major Mastery.

So when he clutched into Josh’s wrist, he was able to increase his strength by eighty percent.

With his base strength being ninety-eight kilograms, the Five Beasts Form gave him the extra strength of seventy-eight kilograms.

Josh was arrogant, but he was not an idiot. The moment his body closed the gap, he raised his right leg and used Five Beasts Form at the same time.

Just like his technique, his martial art was also only at Beginner Realm.

Even so, he got a forty percent boost, bringing his strength to one hundred and twenty-eight kilograms.

128KG vs 176KG

Bang!

Levi’s fist struck him on the leg. This kind of strength would be more than enough to break concrete, but it didn’t break Josh’s leg.

The collision caused Josh to fly back across the room before his back slammed against the walls.

"Cough!"

"You..."

Josh coughed out blood, his teeth turning red. But his leg had gotten so weak from the previous strike that he couldn’t stand up.

"What’s going on?"

Just as their farce ended, an angry voice came from the side.

When Mike saw another teacher, he quickly came forward and spoke.

"Teacher, this guy was trying to bully us because of his level six blood energy, but he underestimated my friend and got thrashed."

"You can ask them. Everyone saw he was who insisted on bullying us."

Hearing that, the teacher rubbed his head.

The bullying cases weren’t that uncommon, but beating someone like this in the class was a bit unsavory.

"Alright! I will take him to the infirmary and inform... your class is 2-B, right? So, your teacher must be Ettle. I will inform him."

"He will decide what to do tomorrow."

The teacher walked up to Josh and picked him up.

Hearing that, Mike turned around and shouted with excitement on his face.

"Damn, Levi! How did you do that? Wasn’t your blood energy level only three?"

Levi rolled his eyes and walked out of the room, with Mike constantly asking him a bunch of questions.

"How did he do that?"

That question rang in the minds of everyone else.

"I know."

A student suddenly raised her hand.

This instantly brought the attention of other students.

"You know?"

This much attention brought a blush to her face, but she calmed down and answered.

"Do you remember the grades of the technique and their impact on the blood energy?"

"Huh! Do you mean Levi is practicing Second Grade Technique?"

Another student asked.

The girl nodded.

"I remember his parents were both Martial Arts Masters. So, he can definitely practice Second Grade Technique."

"If you comprehend this technique to entry level, you get two kilograms of added strength for each blood energy level."

"But if you master it to a higher level, that only doubles. Since he can master Five Beasts Form to Major Mastery, can’t he do the same?"

"Even if we believe he can’t reach Major Mastery, what about Minor? That alone would raise his strength above Josh."

"Add the strength boost given by the Martial Art. If you practice it to Entry Level, you can get a twenty percent boost."

"He gets an eighty percent boost to his strength, bringing it to around seventy kilograms."

"Josh has always bragged about his comprehension. So, you can calculate it yourself."

Hearing that, others showed a look of envy.

"I never imagined both of his parents to be Martial Masters."

"Yeah! Who would’ve thought his parents would be so powerful?"

The girl who had just finished speaking put on her backpack and left the classroom.

’How did he cultivate both martial arts and technique to such a high level? I am also practicing Second Grade Technique, but I have only mastered it to Beginner Level.’

’And I was only able to do that thanks to my parents’ help. Although Second Grade Techniques bring more benefits, they are also harder to comprehend.’

’Body Tempering Techniques are just repetitive movements, but every movement needs to be done in such detail that a slight mistake can not only stop the progress but also downgrade it.’

’Because Second Grade Technique has more movement, they are harder to master. I never thought he had comprehended it to Minor Mastery.’

’I need to work harder. Even though his blood energy level is not improving, he is still practicing so hard to improve his strength.’

’I must do the same.’

The girl’s round face was full of determination. She clenched her hands and rushed out of the school building and took the school bus.

————————

Levi took a different bus. It stopped near his community.

After he returned home, he immediately went to a separate training room on the first floor and started training.

Roaring Tiger Strengthening Technique had four movements: a hook, a left kick, a horse stance, and a handstand.

Each must be done for a specific period, for example.

The punch must be thrown with the right body position where his fist could generate strength from his lower back and feet.

The kick must be a side kick. The kick must be straight and balanced.

The horse stance was basically done with both of his feet on the ground, legs stretched to the side, hips lowered until they were parallel to the ground, chest proud, back straight, and torso upright.

Finally, hold the calm breathing for as long as one could without breaking one’s calmness in breathing.

The last was a handstand done to increase blood flow to his head.

Throughout the process, he must allocate certain time to horse stance and handstand.

As for numbers, it was used for punches and kicks.

So, he would usually throw a right hook, a right kick, a horse stance for thirty seconds, and a handstand for thirty seconds.

Then, he would throw a left hook, a left kick, a horse stance for thirty seconds, and a handstand for thirty seconds.

This exercise wasn’t that difficult, but maintaining the same balance for an hour or more was difficult.

Especially since the blood flow must be maintained throughout every posture.

And every time he finished a single set, his blood would produce a certain amount of heat.

This heat was blood energy, but before it was absorbed into his blood and cells, it would disappear.

Levi didn’t understand why this was happening before.

But now, he did.

It turned out something in his soul was absorbing this energy.

To say Levi wasn’t angry would be a complete lie. He was beyond angry, but he also knew he couldn’t change anything.

This had been happening for almost a year.

Hopefully, with the C-Grade Blood Energy Pill, he would be able to solve the problem.

He wasn’t sure if this would work, but he had no choice but to hope for it.

Tyler continued trying for four hours before his body collapsed on the floor.

He gathered some strength and walked up to a rack near the table. He picked a protein bar and opened it.

After devouring the entire protein bar, his body started recovering rapidly.

Only then did he leave the training room and return to his room.
