I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate

Chapter 785 Mr. Ao's Revelation, The Strife of Races (Part 3)

When Evolutionary Material is plundered, the target dies. This is an immutable, ironclad rule.

Even if they survive, a leader who has been plundered is no longer the strongest of their race, and the Leader Buff will still be transferred.

In other words, there is no way to stop this transfer.

The buff will continue to transfer until the race is left with only one final Ancestral God. If that Ancestral God is killed, the Leader Buff will have nowhere else to go, and it can then be plundered.

Once the buff is successfully plundered, everyone in that race will lose their Origin Gene and Racial Talent, leading to their extinction.

However, the plunderer must also be a leader of a race; a non-leader cannot plunder another race’s “Leader Buff.”

Take the Dou Race, for example. Although their Clan Leader and the Daman Ancestral God were both killed by the Holy Race, two other Ancestral Gods managed to escape.

Unless the leader of the Holy Race kills and plunders these two remaining Dou Race Ancestral Gods, they cannot exterminate the Dou Race.

As for those races with only a single Ancestral God, they must be exceptionally careful. Their leaders can only go into hiding and dare not show themselves at all. To appear means certain death!

In the memory projection, Mr. Ao continued to speak, and Su Ze listened attentively, committing every word to memory.

The Human Race is currently leaderless. The advantage, of course, is that they don’t have to worry about their leader being captured. But the disadvantage is also clear: humans cannot awaken their Racial Talent before ascending to godhood.

Even the Racial Talent they awaken after ascending to godhood is a weakened version.

Only Su Ze, because of the Divine Grace of Evolution, possesses a nearly complete—or even enhanced—version of the Racial Talent.

That’s right—the various effects of the Divine Grace of Evolution are an enhanced version of the Human Race’s Racial Talent!

In other words, over a thousand years ago, when Mr. Ao was still alive, the Human Race possessed a powerful Racial Talent.

It was just that back then, Blue Star had not yet awakened its evolutionary power, so humans were naturally unaware of their own Racial Talent.

By the time the Era of Evolution began on Blue Star, Mr. Ao was already dead. The Human Race was leaderless, and their Racial Talent consequently fell dormant.

As long as Su Ze becomes an Ancestral God and the new leader of the Human Race, the entire population will reawaken their Racial Talent!

What did this mean?

It meant that everyone would possess a basic version of the Divine Grace of Evolution!

It meant the era of “every human a dragon” was about to dawn for the Human Race!

It was only then that Su Ze learned that the Divine Grace of Evolution was something Mr. Ao had crafted before his death, based on the Human Race’s Racial Talent and combined with the remnants of the “Leader Buff” in his body.

This skill, he realized, was not some Ancestral God technique as he had imagined; its ninth rank was its absolute limit.

In other words, what Su Ze currently possessed was the complete version of the Divine Grace of Evolution. Because the skill was derived from the “Human Race Leader Buff,” once Su Ze became an Ancestral God, he would possess the complete buff and would naturally no longer need the Divine Grace of Evolution.

The Human Race being leaderless presented another potential crisis: other races could secretly cultivate powerful humans. As long as they nurtured one to the level of an Ancestral God, they could immediately plunder the Leader Buff and drive the Human Race to extinction.

With the Human Race scattered far and wide across the universe, hiding in every corner, it was inevitable that some of their planets would be discovered by other races.

Just like what the Nian Race was now doing to Blue Star, these races would secretly raise humans in captivity to cultivate powerful individuals.

Of course, nurturing an Ancestral God was extremely difficult. Ordinary races lacked the power to do so, but the Dominator Races were fully capable of it!

Mr. Ao had also been worried that a Dominator Race might be secretly cultivating a human Ancestral God, which was why he urged Su Ze to reach that level as soon as possible.

A human Ancestral God cultivated in a “greenhouse,” propped up entirely by resources, would inevitably be weak. As long as Su Ze became an Ancestral God, he would have no need to worry about his leadership position being usurped.

Mr. Ao’s concerns were not unfounded, and they instilled a greater sense of urgency in Su Ze.

‘But I only just became a Sun God,’ he thought. ‘I can’t rush this. For now, I need to focus on the tasks at hand: increasing my strength and liberating Blue Star!’

This memory projection Su Ze was watching was possibly the last image Mr. Ao had left behind in the world. Su Ze could even sense his reluctance to depart. He seemed particularly talkative this time, saying a great deal to Su Ze as if muttering to himself.

From these ramblings, Su Ze gained a wealth of information that resolved many of the questions weighing on his mind.

He had previously wondered why the legacy of other races’ Origin Genes left by Mr. Ao contained only a little over two thousand types. A top-tier Ancestral God like him should have had far more. Furthermore, not a single one of those Origin Genes was complete.

Now he understood that once any race’s Origin Gene reached one hundred percent completion, it would fuse with one’s body, becoming impossible to separate and therefore impossible to pass down.

That was why the many complete Origin Genes Mr. Ao had mastered were not part of the inheritance.

Mr. Ao also told him about the glory of the Human Race in ancient times.

It turned out that at the peak of its power, the Human Race wasn’t merely a Dominator Race—it was the undisputed number one race in the entire universe!

The Human Race’s Racial Talent was powerful, with an extremely high ceiling. They gained an advantage early in the war of the Ten Thousand Races and gradually snowballed their lead.

However, this led other races to feel threatened, and they united to launch a crusade against the Human Race.

In the end, the Human Race was outnumbered and overwhelmed, defeated by the allied forces of multiple races. All of the Human Race’s Ancestral Gods fell in battle. Only by forming a wall of flesh and blood with the lives of countless warriors did they buy enough time for a small team to escape with the remains of their final Ancestral God.

This was how the Human Race narrowly avoided complete extinction.

And the five great Dominator Races of today had all participated in that war of annihilation against the Human Race.

Their failure to exterminate the Human Race has always been a thorn in their side. They feared the humans’ talent, and so, even to this day, they refuse to let the Human Race go, never ceasing their persecution.

Once a leader of the Human Race from any generation revealed themselves, they would inevitably be hunted down by the five great Dominator Races.

It was foreseeable that in the near future, Su Ze would also “enjoy” this same treatment.

At the very end, Mr. Ao gave Su Ze several sets of coordinates.

They were the coordinates of other pockets of the Human Race…
