Chapter 223: Ch 223- Sovereign Realm
As soon as Mo Yuan entered the Human Federation Tower, David noticed him.
However, the moment he sensed Mo Yuan’s cultivation, his eyes widened. The tired expression on his face was replaced by pure shock.
"Mo Yuan, you..."
David took a deep breath before looking at him again.
"You have reached the Peak Origin Lord Realm!"
Looking at David’s shocked expression, Mo Yuan smiled. He had already expected this reaction.
After all, he had just turned seventeen and was already standing at the peak of the Origin Lord Realm. The next step would be the Sovereign Realm.
Even David, who had reached the Late Sovereign Realm in his forties, could not help but be shocked by such a speed.
This was simply unbelievable.
Looking at the young man before him, David couldn’t help but wonder just how far a talent like Mo Yuan could go.
Mo Yuan smiled helplessly and said, "Hehe, yes, Senior. I wanted to reach this stage before leaving for the Holy Base."
Hearing this, David nodded. Now he understood why Mo Yuan had come.
"So, are you ready to leave for the Holy Base?"
Mo Yuan smiled and nodded.
"Yes, Senior. At this point, I don’t think there is anything left in Cang Lan Base that can help with my cultivation. It’s better to head to the Holy Base, complete the entrance test and take a look at the best academy humanity has to offer."
"Haha, you are indeed right."
David smiled before asking, "You are also here to ask about reaching the Sovereign Realm, aren’t you?"
Hearing this, Mo Yuan nodded.
"Yes, Senior. Now that I have reached the Peak Origin Lord Realm, I want to know how to proceed."
"Good, good. Come, sit down. I’ll explain everything."
Mo Yuan sat down and David began his explanation.
"You already know the base strength and maximum strength of a Sovereign Realm cultivator, right?"
Mo Yuan nodded.
"Indeed, Senior. You told me last time. You also mentioned that cultivators need to convert their Primordial Qi into Elemental Qi, which gives them a threefold boost."
"That’s right," David said. "And there is only one way to convert Primordial Qi into Elemental Qi."
He looked at Mo Yuan and asked, "Have you ever looked deep into Primordial Qi? What do you think it is made of? We know it is energy but what kind of energy?"
Mo Yuan was confused by the question, as he had never really thought about it.
"No, Senior. I have never wondered about that."
David smiled.
"Of course. Most cultivators never bother to investigate it. Now, focus on a particle of Primordial Qi inside your body or in the air. Look at it as deeply as you can with your Origin Sense. Then tell me what you see."
Mo Yuan nodded and closed his eyes.
He focused his Origin Sense on the Primordial Qi particles floating around him. After locking onto one, he began to examine it more closely.
At first, he could only sense the energy itself but as he focused deeper, he gradually noticed something strange.
The particle was not made of a single type of energy.
Instead, it contained several different kinds of energy mixed together.
The moment Mo Yuan noticed this, his eyes lit up.
He opened his eyes and looked at David.
"So, Primordial Qi is made up of different elements!"
David nodded with a satisfied smile.
"Yes. You understood it on your first try. You really are a monster."
Mo Yuan smiled awkwardly.
David then asked, "Do you have any Elemental Talents?"
"Yes, Senior. I have an Inferior Grade Flame Talent."
Hearing this, David nodded.
"Then finding the fire element within Primordial Qi will be easy for you. Having a talent related to an element means you have an affinity for it. The higher your talent grade, the stronger your affinity will be."
He paused before continuing.
"However, even if you don’t have an Elemental Talent, you can still find an element within Primordial Qi. It will simply be much harder."
Mo Yuan nodded as he listened.
’So, having a talent also gives me an affinity for its element.’
He suddenly thought about his own talents.
’If I have Flame, Space and Shadow Talents, then I should also have an affinity for those elements and if I copy more Elemental Talents, I might gain an affinity for those elements as well.’
Mo Yuan couldn’t help but feel that his Copy and Paste Talent had become even more useful.
David continued explaining.
"Once you find the element you have the strongest affinity with, you need to remove the other energy particles and transform the Primordial Qi inside your body into that specific Elemental Qi."
"The moment you convert even 0.01% of your Primordial Qi, you will enter the Sovereign Realm."
Mo Yuan nodded, feeling that he had finally understood the first step.
However, another question came to his mind.
"Then, Senior, what if I want to cultivate two different types of Elemental Qi? If I convert all my Primordial Qi into fire Elemental Qi, it will spread throughout my body. Where would the other Elemental Qi stay?"
David nodded, as if he had expected this question.
"Remember what I told you? At the Late Sovereign Realm, you awaken your core."
"Yes, Senior."
"Before reaching the Late Sovereign Realm, you need to complete two stages."
"At the Early Sovereign Realm, you convert 50% of your Primordial Qi into Elemental Qi. Then, at the Mid Sovereign Realm, you convert the remaining 50%."
"Once all your Primordial Qi has been converted, you will form a core. From then on, your Elemental Qi will be stored inside it rather than spread throughout your body."
David paused before adding, "Your core can have different spaces for different types of Elemental Qi. You can store as many elements as you want but comprehending another element and making it coexist with the others inside your core is extremely difficult and dangerous."
"If you fail, your core might explode, killing you."
He then continued, "As for the Peak Sovereign Realm, you will expand your core and increase its capacity."
Mo Yuan listened carefully.
Now he finally had a clear idea of how to reach the Sovereign Realm.
"Thank you, Senior."
David smiled.
"Haha, don’t worry. You will reach that realm soon enough."
"You are overpraising me, Senior."
Mo Yuan smiled before continuing to talk with David for a while.
Eventually, he said goodbye and left the Human Federation Tower.
As he headed home, he began thinking about the information he had just received.
’So, the first step is to find the element I have the strongest affinity with and convert my Primordial Qi into it.’
He had a rough idea of what he needed to do next.
However, before beginning his breakthrough, he wanted to study the information carefully and make a proper plan.
After all, reaching the Sovereign Realm was not something he could afford to rush.
