Chapter 87: Chapter 83: The Monk is Suffering...
Without another word, Su Tan decisively logged out of the Void God Realm.
It wasn’t that he was afraid of the Monk. Mostly, it was just too annoying to be pestered by him. The guy was like a disgusting, sticky leech attached to his skin. Su Tan couldn’t be bothered to have anything to do with him. The last time, that Monk had completely screwed him over, forcing Su Tan to fight hundreds of grueling rounds in the Void God Realm. Setting aside the exhaustion, it had taken him several days to recover from the battle’s aftereffects once he returned home, and he’d even had to move to a new house.
This time, he would just avoid him. He hoped the guy had enough sense to realize that Su Tan had no interest in dealing with him and wouldn’t come looking for trouble again.
After Su Tan and the Little White Wolf logged out, the Monk looked like he was about to cry. His bitter expression was so thoroughly miserable that it looked as if one could wring bitter melon juice right out of his face.
"I finally waited for you guys to log in, and you log out without a single word? Was that really necessary?"
"I’ve been camping here for two whole months, do you think this has been easy for me?!"
He beat his chest and stomped his feet in absolute frustration. Yet, there was nothing he could do. Su Tan simply hadn’t given him a chance to speak.
Chen Family Village.
Su Tan Courtyard.
"Why did you log out so early? We don’t need to be afraid of him, we can beat him!" the Little White Wolf said.
"That guy is incredibly bizarre. He won’t die no matter how much you beat him, and you can’t kill him. His trump cards are endless. He’s far from simple. I suspect he might be connected to the Void God Realm itself, or else..."
"Or else what?"
"Or else..."
Or else he’s using a cheat, just like me. Su Tan kept that thought to himself.
"Anyway, just don’t get involved with him. It’s nothing but a waste of time."
After logging out, neither Su Tan nor the Little White Wolf were in a hurry to re-enter the Void God Realm. They planned to wait a few days and observe the situation.
During this period in the real world, Su Tan didn’t sit idle. He had the Xu Family collect Qi Condensation Cultivation Techniques, and asked the Yun Family to help gather some as well. The Xu Family’s side was destined to yield little, but he did manage to acquire quite a few valuable Cultivation Techniques from Yun Chu.
However, it was still just a drop in the bucket—far from enough. If he wanted to upgrade the Qi Condensation section of the Ten Thousand Dao Furnace to the same quality as the Body Refinement section, he would need a massive amount of Qi Condensation Techniques.
Such things could only be found in the Void God Realm!
Five days later.
Once Su Tan was ready, he logged in again!
"DING! Welcome to the Void God Realm..."
That Monk was actually still there. Was he planning to fight to the bitter end?
"You’re finally here! Just listen to me say one thing... just one thing..." Overjoyed, the Monk jumped up in excitement.
"DING! Player Tanzi and Player Bai have logged out!"
The Monk was left speechless.
Then, he flew into a fit of rage.
"Damn it... is there something wrong with you two? Can’t you just let me finish? What’s the rush, are you hurrying home to be reincarnated?"
The Monk was on the verge of a breakdown.
"Sigh... whatever, whatever. I guess I can only blame myself for screwing you over back then. I can’t really fault you for hiding whenever you see me. Seriously... why did I have to provoke you two absolute menaces in the first place? Ugh, I really brought this on myself!" The Monk beat his chest and stomped his feet, wanting nothing more than to slap himself a few times. But, afraid of the pain, he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
He could only lower his hands and continue to wait.
A few more days passed.
Su Tan logged in once more. He was blocked again. And just like before, he instantly logged out.
The Monk was utterly dumbfounded! What did this mean? Were they toying with him? Couldn’t they just let him say one complete sentence?
Su Tan was also at his wits’ end. Was this Monk crazy? Did he have nothing better to do than block them all day long? If it weren’t for the Qi Condensation Cultivation Techniques, Su Tan wouldn’t want to keep logging in and out like this either.
"What should we do? It seems like that Monk knows exactly where we’re going to log in every single time. Are we still going?"
"That guy just won’t leave us alone like a lingering ghost!" Su Tan was getting a bit angry.
If the guy blocked them once or twice, Su Tan could just overlook it to save himself the trouble. That was completely fine. But there was a limit to everything. Blocking them day after day after day... did he think this was fun? Was he planning to fight to the death over this?
Was he completely rejecting the face Su Tan was giving him? As the saying went, even a Buddha could get angry—how could Su Tan tolerate this?
Su Tan prepared to teach the Monk a harsh lesson. At worst, they would just have another bloody battle. It seemed that if they didn’t deal with the Monk, they wouldn’t be able to properly enter the Void God Realm.
"This time, even if it leads to a bloodbath, we are going to beat that Monk until he’s terrified! We’ll make him never dare to block us again!" Su Tan firmly resolved.
"I’ve been waiting for you to say that!" The Little White Wolf had been practically suffocating with pent-up frustration these past few days.
"Get some good rest. Tomorrow, we prepare for battle!" Su Tan said coldly.
The next day.
Well-rested and fully prepared, they readied themselves to fight to the bitter end. They logged into the Void God Realm once again.
SWOOSH SWOOSH SWOOSH!
It was the sound of a Summoner logging in.
"DING! Welcome to the Void God Realm!"
Another login. But this time, Su Tan and the Little White Wolf were different from their previous attempts. This time, they came prepared.
Sure enough! That Monk was still camping there! He was as persistent as ever.
Seeing Su Tan and the Little White Wolf appear before his eyes once again, the Monk felt a deep sense of mental exhaustion. But he had finally waited for them to arrive. This time, no matter what, he had to make them stay. No matter what, he was going to have a proper talk with them!
The Monk ran over and pulled out a Magical Treasure.
"Restrict!"
SWISH!
A surge of power locked onto Su Tan and the Little White Wolf.
"DING! Player Tanzi has been restricted. You cannot log out of the Void God Realm before your login duration expires. Restriction Time: 09:59:59..."
Su Tan and the Little White Wolf had been restricted before, so they knew exactly what this meant. This Fat Monk was indeed harboring ill intentions.
Since that was the case, they wouldn’t hold back!
"You damn bald donkey, you just don’t know how to appreciate a favor, do you?" Su Tan raged.
BAM!
He threw a solid punch directly into the face of the overjoyed fat man, who had been happily stepping forward to chat after seeing that they were restricted. To hit him, Su Tan didn’t even need to activate his Overlord Body Realm. His cultivation base was now worlds apart from what it had been back then.
Taking the punch, the fat man’s face instantly distorted to a comical degree. It caved in like an animated cartoon model! His entire upper body was knocked sideways. Su Tan thought the Fat Monk wouldn’t be able to withstand the blow and would pass out. However, the Monk seemed much more resistant to beatings than last time; he still hadn’t fainted.
BAM!
"You damned Monk, you want to block us, huh?"
Another punch landed on the other side of his face.
"ROAR!"
At the same time, the Little White Wolf roared, lunging forward to bite and tear. The Monk’s condition was simply too ghastly to look at. Even passersby thought it was far too tragic.
But no one stepped up to intervene. Let alone the Void God Realm, even in the real world, fights and killings were completely normal. Who had the free time to play peacemaker every day? It was a thankless job, and sometimes you could even get caught in the crossfire and lose your life.
"We already said we were avoiding you, and you still freaking blocked us?"
BAM!
It was another heavy punch.
THUD.
This time, the Monk really did pass out. Right before he fainted, his mouth opened and closed as if he wanted to say something, but alas, he couldn’t get the words out.
BAM!
"Didn’t you want to look for trouble? Bring it on!"
These past few encounters had truly disgusted Su Tan and the Little White Wolf. They were in no rush to leave; instead, they prepared to reason with the Monk.
To reason with him using their fists!
They were determined to make the Monk so terrified that he would never block the exit again. Right now, they were purely venting their pent-up frustration.
BAM BAM BAM!
A flurry of combo punches turned the Monk into a human punching bag. Yet, even after being beaten so brutally, the Monk still didn’t die. He was simply too durable.
Several minutes passed.
Su Tan and the Little White Wolf felt their anger subside slightly, and they finally stopped.
At this moment, the Monk faintly regained consciousness.
THWACK!
He was greeted by yet another beating. He passed out again. This guy could really take a beating. If it were any ordinary person, they would have been dead long ago.
"Wait... wait... I have something to say!" he screamed in a voice cracking with desperation.
When the Monk woke up once more, he was utterly terrified and spoke up immediately. He was afraid that if he didn’t speak now, he’d never get the chance again.
This man and this wolf were simply too ruthless!
