I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 149: Jenny Meets The Siblings

Chapter 149: Jenny Meets The Siblings

Leon rose to his feet and replayed the three key aspects in his mind.

The posture.

The concentration of strength.

And the straight line of attack.

With a thought, he summoned the claymore from his system storage. Since this was only practice, he had no intention of using the Frost Monarch’s Blade.

Leon slowly assumed the stance described in the manual.

His left foot slid forward until he found the perfect distance to exert force through the toes. His waist twisted to the right as he drew the sword arm back, coiling his body like a compressed spring.

His muscles tightened.

His breathing became calm and steady.

Just as he was about to continue...

"Master." Fenrir suddenly spoke. "I don’t think that’s a good idea."

Leon glanced at him.

"The sword technique you’re trying to practice... whether you succeed or fail, you’ll most likely destroy this house if you perform it indoors."

"I know." Leon smiled helplessly. "I’m not planning to unleash it. I’m just trying to feel how the strength gathers... and whether I can concentrate it into a single point."

He then slowly mimicked the thrusting motion without releasing any force.

"And this line of attack..." Leon narrowed his eyes. "Understanding it is one thing. Maintaining that perfectly straight line while thrusting the sword..."

He let out a soft laugh. "That’s going to be difficult. Really, really difficult."

Fenrir nodded in agreement.

"That’s true, Master." Yet inwardly, he couldn’t help but chuckle. ’Comprehending any martial technique is difficult, Master. Most people spend years meditating, practicing, and refining themselves before they can truly master one. But for you... I doubt it’ll even take a week. And that’s with your bloodline still only partially awakened. If it were fully awakened... You wouldn’t need to study a technique twice before comprehending it. No matter how high ranking or complex it is.’

Leon continued thrusting the sword over and over again. Time passed before a knock echoed from the other side of the door.

"Brother, I’m home! Let’s have lunch together."

"Okay. I’m coming."

Leon stopped practicing, and the claymore disappeared back into his system storage.

After taking a quick shower, he walked out of his room. He helped Jenny set the dishes on the dining table, and once everything was ready, the siblings sat down to eat.

After taking a few bites, Leon started speaking. "Jenny, I’m going to apply for the military training camp. If I pass, you’ll have to stay here on your own for a while."

Jenny’s expression immediately dimmed. Although she forced a smile, the unwillingness in her eyes was impossible to hide. "No problem." she said softly. "How long will you be gone?"

"Six months."

Silence settled over the table. Only the faint clatter of spoons could be heard.

Seeing her mood drop, Leon quickly added, "But don’t worry. I am arranging for someone to stay here with you. If anything happens like what Sean tried to do last time, she’ll protect you."

Jenny slowly raised her head. "She?" The sadness in her eyes instantly disappeared, replaced by curiosity. "Wait..." A mischievous grin spread across her face. "Don’t tell me she’s your girlfriend... my future sister-in-law?"

Leon nearly choked on his food.

"You little brat." He reached over and flicked her forehead. "Looks like you haven’t been taught lessons on how to behave in a while."

Jenny pouted, rubbing her forehead. "So she’s not your girlfriend? Then who is she?"

Instead of answering, Leon simply called out, "Noira."

Both Noira and Fenrir had already returned to the Soul Sanctuary after the training. The moment Leon called her name, Noira stepped out of the Soul Sanctuary, materializing beside him as though she had appeared out of thin air.

Jenny’s eyes widened. "Pffft..." She almost spat out the food in her mouth. Scrambling backward in her chair, she pointed a trembling finger at Noira. "W-What the heck is she?! Where did she come from?!"

Leon hurriedly raised both hands. "Calm down. She’s the person I was talking about. You can think of her as... a new friend."

Jenny looked at him as though he had just said the most unbelievable thing imaginable.

"A friend?" she repeated skeptically. "Then what’s her ability? And how did she suddenly appear like that?"

"Calm down first. I’ll explain everything."

Leon rubbed his temples with a helpless sigh. ’I probably should’ve explained everything to her before calling Noira out.’

He then explained everything from the beginning. About his unique ability to form contracts with magical beasts. About how contracted beasts could reside within his Soul Sanctuary. And about Fenrir as well.

As a result, Fenrir also stepped out of the Soul Sanctuary.

"Greetings, Young Mistress." Both Noira and Fenrir bowed politely with warm smiles.

Even so, it took Jenny quite a while to calm herself. After several deep breaths, she finally sat back down.

"So..." she asked cautiously, "you’re saying they’re actually beasts?"

Leon nodded. "Yes."

Before Leon could say anything else, Noira took the initiative.

"If you don’t mind, Young Mistress... I’ll show you."

She walked a few steps away.

The next moment, she started to transform. Thick white fur rapidly spread across her body as it elongated and expanded. Her delicate face stretched into the muzzle of a wolf, sharp fangs emerging from her jaws. Within seconds, the beautiful young woman had transformed into a majestic wolf.

Jenny gasped, both hands flying to cover her mouth.

She looked at Fenrir. Then again at Noira. Back and forth. Then finally she glared at Leon. "Since when did you have an ability like this?" she asked, dissatisfied. "And why am I only hearing about it now? Don’t tell me... people are actually living inside you now?"

The flood of questions came all at once.

Leon scratched the back of his head awkwardly. "Well..." he said with a sheepish smile, "I only awakened this ability recently."

It took Leon quite a while to calm Jenny down, but in the end, she reluctantly agreed to let Noira stay with her while Leon was away.

Noira, on the other hand, couldn’t hide the trace of sadness in her eyes. She wanted to remain by Leon’s side, but she would never question his decision.

After dinner, Leon returned to his room and collapsed in his bed. He raised one hand toward the ceiling before slowly making a grabbing gesture.

"Now I won’t have to worry about Jenny while I’m away at the military camp. Tomorrow... let’s see how much farther I can push my Gravity Resistance... and just how much faster I can become."

He soon drifted off to sleep.
