I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 150: Leon’s Request

Chapter 150: Leon’s Request

Leon’s classes passed quickly the next morning.

Many students still couldn’t understand how he was able to wield such overwhelming strength without even possessing an awakened ability or why his mana couldn’t be measured. But regardless of their doubts, one thing was undeniable.

The power he displayed was simply incredible.

His classmates constantly tried to strike up conversations with him, especially the girls.

Leon wasn’t foolish enough not to understand what was going on. Instead, he devoted his attention to his studies.

Only five days remained before the final exams.

Once classes ended, he headed to the Hunter Association as planned.

Someone was already waiting for him at the entrance.

It was none other than the C-Class tank whom Leon had punched during his reassessment to prove his strength.

Nelson.

"Mr. Leon..." Nelson greeted respectfully despite being much older than him. "Mr. Cooper has been waiting for you. This way, please."

Leon nodded and followed him.

Soon, they arrived on the second floor in front of the president’s office.

Nelson knocked gently on the door.

"Come in," Jessica’s voice sounded from inside.

Nelson opened the door and gestured for Leon to enter. Leon straightened his clothes before walking inside.

Stanley was seated in the chair behind the main desk, while Jessica stood beside him.

Ordinarily, that seat belonged to Jessica as the current president of the Hunter Association. But with her grandfather present, how could she possibly sit there?

Although he had stepped down as president, Stanley was still the one working behind the scenes, personally teaching Jessica how to manage the Association.

The moment he saw Leon, Stanley stood up with a warm smile.

"Leon, my boy, you’re here." He gestured toward the chair across from him. "Come, have a seat. I’ve been waiting for you."

"Greetings, Mr. Cooper," Leon said politely as he sat down.

"After what happened at the Delvan Tower, I wanted to speak with you in person. But I figured you would need some time to recover, so I decided to wait."

"You could have just called me earlier if it was important, Mr. Cooper."

"It’s no trouble." Stanley smiled before his expression gradually turned serious. "However, if you don’t mind, I’d like to ask you a few questions today. They concern not only your own well-being but also the safety of many others."

"I understand, Mr. Cooper. You have my full cooperation."

Leon agreed without hesitation because the man before him was Stanley Cooper. He wasn’t merely a powerful hunter. He was the very definition of a hero.

Throughout his life, he had risked himself countless times to save others. There was also a reason he was no longer serving as the Association’s president. Three months earlier, during a major gate outbreak, Stanley had entered a high-ranking dungeon gate alone after a child was dragged inside by a monster.

He rescued the child and cleared the dungeon all on his own, but in the process, he suffered a severe injury to his heart.

Even S-Class healers had been unable to fully restore it. As a result, the doctors had strictly advised him to avoid using mana and to stay away from excessive mental strain.

So how could Leon not trust a man like him?

"Good." Stanley nodded. "Then let me start with this..."

He paused for a moment before asking, "That assassin, the Poison Queen, forced you to enter the Delvan tower with her. Yet when you returned, she was nowhere to be found. Instead, a demon appeared. So... what exactly happened?"

Leon organized his thoughts before speaking.

"That assassin already knew about the demon. More importantly, she wanted to tame it... or form some kind of bond with it. As for me, I was nothing more than a sacrifice to complete the ritual."

He paused briefly before continuing. "But things didn’t go as she had planned. We fought..., and fortunately, I won."

Jessica’s eyes widened ever so slightly. ’He defeated the Poison Queen? All by himself? But how?’

Her thoughts raced. ’Just getting close to her is like embracing death. Her poison alone is enough to kill most Awakeners.’

Then another thought crossed her mind. ’But he was also the one who eliminated most of the other assassins... and he even killed that demon.

I shouldn’t be this surprised...

But still... just how strong is he, really?’

Meanwhile, Stanley also fell into deep thought. ’She tried to form a pact with a demon? Then there must be others with the same goal.’ His expression grew solemn. ’What happens if they actually succeed? People willing to do something like this clearly don’t have good intentions.’

His thoughts continued racing. ’And then there’s Leon. He’s a cultivator and can even wield demon purging aura, yet he claims he isn’t from Summitas Valley. I can’t make sense of any of this anymore.’

Stanley looked at Leon once again. "By the way, Leon. From where did you learn to wield the demon purging aura? Did someone from the Demon Slayer Clan really contact you or teach you the technique?"

He had already decided to stand on Leon’s side, but before doing so, he needed to understand what kind of trouble Leon might face in the future. If Leon had truly stolen the technique from the Demon Slayer Clan, or if someone from the clan had secretly passed it on to him, it could lead to serious consequences. Stanley was undoubtedly powerful, but he wasn’t the strongest. There would always be someone better.

"Umm... how should I put it?" Leon hesitated a bit before answering. "I don’t even know what the Demon Slayer Clan is. No one from there taught me anything either. As for how I learned demon purging aura... I was lucky enough to come across a manual containing the technique. That’s how I learned it."

Stanley remained silent for a moment before nodding. "I see. That’s all, Leon." Seeing Leon’s eyes and confidence, he felt like Leon was telling the truth. Jessica didn’t say anything.

"Take care of yourself, Leon. And if you ever run into any trouble, let me know immediately."

"Sure."

"Then I’ll see you at the military training camp selection test." Stanley rose to his feet and extended his hand.

Leon stood up as well and shook it. "I actually have one request, Mr. Cooper."

"Go ahead. Even if you have a hundred requests, as long as they’re within my power, I’ll do my best to grant them." He laughed heartily after saying that.

"It’s nothing serious, Mr. Cooper." Leon smiled. "I just wanted to try out the testing facilities here." He paused briefly before adding, "Especially the...

gravity one."
