I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 335: You Have Some Nerve
"Yeah. What about it?" Bella asked icily.
"You have to go raid the dungeon."
"Yeah, right. Why don’t you just tell me to hang myself with a fan? That could be way easier." Bella sneered at her stepmom.
"Watch your tone, Bella. This is for your grandpa. Don’t tell me you don’t want to save him." Boman said.
"Why do I have to go inside the death zone to save Grandpa? What? You think dragons have better healers among them?"
"Insolence." Boman roared. He wanted to shout again, but gritted his teeth and forced himself to calm down. Then he looked at Bella once more. "The death zone has a relic inside it. It can save Father. I would have gone myself to retrieve it. But my hands are tied at the moment."
"Hands are tied? Just say you are afraid. Can’t believe you are an S-Class hunter yourself, but you are asking me to go instead of you. Did this snake brainwash you so thoroughly that you even forgot who your father is?" Bella said with contempt. She could barely believe her ears. The death zone was the most dangerous permanent gate of Daselvia after Daselvia Tower. Yet, Boman actually wanted Bella to go inside. She had no problem going inside for her grandfather. But for his father to say something like that, how could she just accept it?
Her words made Boman’s blood boil with rage. He almost strode forward, ready to slap her. But just then...
"Stop, Mr. Haskins." A voice echoed.
Bella turned her head right. A young man walked inside. He was wearing a classic suit with a pair of shiny black shoes. His heels clicked against the floor as he walked forward.
"You are taking it negatively, Bella." The young man spoke.
"My, my. Look who it is. Dylan Froster himself. I was wondering how their shamelessness grew deeper. So it was you? No wonder."
Boman’s temper flared even further. He was about to snap again, but Dylan raised his hand. "It’s alright. It’s natural for her to react this way. Let me explain first." Dylan said to Boman before looking back at Bella.
"First. There is a reason why your father can’t go. I can’t disclose it at the moment. Your father wanted to go himself, actually. He didn’t want to send you. You may consider him your enemy, but trust me, he cares about you. Now, second. There is a relic inside the Death zone. It can treat any type of illness. Remember, there has only been one dungeon outbreak from that gate? It was when that relic was brought outside. I know your family is declining because your grandpa is in bed. That’s why I wanted to help. It’s totally on you whether you want to go inside the dungeon or not." Dylan said while chuckling inwardly. ’Let’s see how long you can act tough. I don’t believe you won’t go if it means it can save your grandfather.’
Bella stayed silent for a while. She had heard about that relic too. The dungeon outbreak was common knowledge. After all, it had destroyed cities. But whether that relic could heal someone or not was totally unknown.
"Who told you that the relic can heal people?"
"I have satellite footage. A few of the dragons were hurt. But the moment the relic returned to their hands, their wounds healed to the naked eye. I am not saying healing is impossible without a relic. But my question is, why not before the relic was retrieved? Who would monsters like them bother about a relic? There can be only one conclusion. And it’s worth giving it a try. Now it’s totally up to you."
"If that relic is so important, then why don’t you go yourself? Who are you trying to fool?" Bella looked at Dylan suspiciously.
"I never said you would be going alone. There are others. I only suggested that you could go. Also, I don’t know how the relic works. How many times can it treat others if we bring it outside? That’s why having a member from your family will ensure that your family can try it out in the initial stage with those who will be getting inside." Dylan explained. "After your father, you are currently the strongest from the Haskins Family. So..." His voice trailed off.
Bella thought for a while before speaking again. "But why would I need the relic in the first place? The poison crystal from the Lizard’s den. It can save Grandpa as well."
Dylan’s face darkened slightly before he smiled and started again. "That crystal is only capable of treating someone who is affected by poison, no matter how deadly it is. But are you sure your grandfather is in bed because of only poison? Think carefully, Bella."
Bella was totally at a loss for words at the moment. She could feel it. She was being lured into a trap. But what if it was true? What if the relic could really heal her grandfather?
While Bella was in mental turmoil about what to do, Lamia and the others were facing a horde of semi-Disaster Class monsters.
Seeing Snow charging at the enemies recklessly, Emily, Sol, and Frenrir had failed to hold back. They had also joined the fight.
Lamia wasn’t bothered about any of them. Her sole focus was on driving away any monster that came close to Leon and destroying their numbers slowly.
Two lizard men dodged most of the attacks and rushed toward Leon. Though he was sitting idle, the monsters couldn’t help but feel that he was the real threat.
Those two lizard men had their claws spread, greenish energy emanating from them. Closing the distance, both of them lunged at Leon at once.
Whoooooosh!
Whoooooosh!
Their claws cut through the air.
But just before they could rake across Leon’s body...
Whoooosh!
Whoooosh!
Something whistled through the air.
The next moment, those two dropped to the ground, their bodies slowly freezing.
Lamia sneered. "You have some nerve."
