Chapter 201: Chapter 201: Prelude to the Great Battle

Over the next two days, Ophelia didn’t sit idle.

Secretly making preparations, she sent all the females in the tribe to the Golden Dragon Clan and other nearby tribes to seek temporary refuge and lay low. In fact, aside from fifty archers, everyone else in the entire Fuzu Tribe had been relocated to safe havens. Ophelia divided these fifty archers into five squads of ten, assigning them to patrol the tribe around the clock.

Tyler, Klein, and Jiuying also took turns standing guard. They not only had to keep watch over the tribe’s entrance but also stay alert for aerial ambushes.

In the Ten Thousand Beasts City, inside the City Lord Mansion.

Early that morning, before Moye had even woken up, a male hastily pushed the door open and rushed into the bedroom.

"City Lord, traces of Fire Phoenix males have been discovered in the northern forest."

Hearing the words ’Fire Phoenix,’ Moye snapped out of his sleep and bolted upright in a knee-jerk reaction. "The males of the Fire Phoenix Clan have already arrived at the Ten Thousand Beasts City?"

The subordinate nodded. "Yes, but they didn’t enter the city. Instead, they headed straight for the northern forest. It looks like they’re going directly to the Fuzu Tribe."

Hearing this, Moye couldn’t sit still any longer. He hastily threw on his clothes and rushed toward the Fuzu Tribe with ten Ten Thousand Beasts City males in tow.

Meanwhile, thirty Fire Phoenix males followed the trail of marks and arrived at the entrance of the Snow Wolf Clan. Seeing them approach with such an aggressive aura, the male guards hurriedly sent someone to notify their Clan Leader.

Upon learning of the situation, Soro hastily informed Kaka, and the two went to the entrance together.

Seeing the male leading the Fire Phoenix Clan group, Kaka’s face lit up with joy. "Kamo, you’re here."

Kamo was Kaka’s biological brother from the same mother. He stepped forward, patted Kaka on the shoulder, and looked him over with concern. "Are your injuries healed?"

"My injuries are completely fine now. You don’t need to worry, brother," Kaka replied.

"This is no place to talk," Soro interjected politely. "Honored guests, please come inside." Even though he knew these newcomers were just ordinary males of the Fire Phoenix Clan, Soro was fully aware that their status was far beyond what people from a low-level tribe like his could ever compare to.

"Right, let’s go inside quickly," Kaka said. "Soro, go prepare some food and water."

Kaka issued the order to Soro beside him while leading his brother toward the stone house. Soro nodded repeatedly in compliance, entirely lacking the dignity expected of a Clan Leader.

Upon entering the room, Kamo noticed a Little Beastman tied to the bed. "Who is this?" He carefully studied the Little Beastman’s features. "Is this Young Master Zerev’s cub?"

"Yes. It was his mother and Zerev who killed our Young Master Brada," Kaka said, his eyes brimming with hatred at the mention of Ophelia.

Seeing his brother like this, Kamo let out a helpless sigh. "Kaka, I know you deeply respected the Young Master. You were even willing to lower your status to become his Beast Servant.

"But the Young Master is gone now, and your Beast Servant contract with him has been dissolved. You aren’t young anymore. Once you return to the Holy Capital, find a female and settle down."

"We’ll talk about that later," Kaka replied with a flat expression, turning a deaf ear to Kamo’s suggestion. Right now, all he cared about was avenging the Young Master.

"What do you plan to do next?" Kamo asked. He knew his brother’s loyalty to Young Master Brada bordered on madness, so he didn’t expect to persuade him in just one conversation.

Kaka’s gaze fell on Dan’er on the bed. "Now that you’re here, the plan can begin.

"I can use this little male cub to lure Ophelia out of her tribe. When the time comes, you and the clansmen will trap Ophelia’s mates and keep them away.

"I’ll handle Ophelia personally.

"Once I’ve taken care of Ophelia, I will annihilate the Fuzu Tribe and bury them along with our Young Master."

"Isn’t wiping out an entire clan a bit too cruel?" Kamo furrowed his brow slightly.

Kaka clenched his fists in hatred. "If I don’t kill them, the hatred in my heart will never dissipate.

"For someone as noble as the Young Master to be killed by these lowly commoners is a massive humiliation for our Fire Phoenix Clan." As he spoke, Kaka’s eyes turned bloodshot.

Seeing his brother’s crazed state, Kamo sighed helplessly. Forget it. It was just a low-level tribe anyway. If they had to be annihilated, then so be it.

"Brother, what is the situation with Zerev?" Kaka asked.

"The Family Head didn’t find a Mate Beast Mark on Zerev, and he vehemently denies having anything to do with the Young Master’s death. Because of this, the Family Head can’t do anything to him for the time being."

"Damned Zerev! After I finish off Ophelia, I’ll go settle the score with him."

"Kaka, don’t be impulsive," Kamo warned. "There might be a misunderstanding about this whole thing. Besides, Zerev is the young master of the Winged Dragon Clan. He isn’t someone we can easily touch."

Kaka’s eyes widened. "It wasn’t a misunderstanding. I saw it with my own eyes. Brother, do you not believe me?"

"We can discuss this matter later. For now, let’s just focus on dealing with Ophelia."

The two men hadn’t bothered to hide their conversation from Dan’er, allowing the boy to grasp the rough outline of the situation. He gritted his teeth. "Give up! I won’t help you hurt my mother!

"I won’t let you succeed."

Dan’er became even more determined to escape, but with so many people guarding him now, it wasn’t the right time.

"Brother, you and the clansmen have been traveling for days. Go get some rest," Kaka said.

Kamo didn’t refuse. After all, they needed proper rest to regain their stamina for the upcoming battle.

After Kamo left, Kaka looked toward Hu Ya, who was crouching in the corner. "You. Go deliver a message to the Fuzu Tribe. Tell Ophelia that if she wants Dan’er to live, she must come alone to the Snow Wolf Clan to see me."

"Okay, I’ll go right now." Although he knew he might not make it back alive, Hu Ya nodded firmly. He believed that Kaka could avenge his parents, making it worth it even if it cost him his life.

In the afternoon, Hu Ya arrived at the entrance of the Fuzu Tribe. The male guards were greatly surprised to see him.

There wasn’t a trace of fear on Hu Ya’s face. "I’m here to deliver a message to Ophelia. I want to see her."

Five minutes later, Ophelia arrived at the tribe’s entrance. She glanced behind Hu Ya but didn’t spot anyone else.

"There’s no need to look. I came alone," Hu Ya stated. "Ophelia, Kaka told me to pass on a message. If you don’t want anything to happen to Dan’er, go to the Snow Wolf Clan to meet him."

"You’re actually in cahoots with Kaka?"

"I’m in cahoots with whoever can help me get my revenge," Hu Ya said, lifting his eyelids slightly. "I’ve delivered my message. You can kill me now." He closed his eyes with an air of righteous defiance.

"Since that’s what you want, I’ll grant your wish." Tyler raised his hand and clamped it around Hu Ya’s neck. The moment he saw Hu Ya, he was reminded of when Wendy was pushed into the water and nearly drowned. His previous soft-heartedness had almost cost Wendy her life; today, he was going to rectify that mistake.

Ophelia stood quietly on the side, watching as the life gradually drained out of Hu Ya.

"It seems the Snow Wolf Clan has completely sided with Kaka," Klein said, his eyes narrowing as he gazed in the direction of the Snow Wolf Clan.

"It’s not the Snow Wolf Clan that sided with him—it’s Soro," Ophelia corrected, shaking her head. Not everyone in the Snow Wolf Clan wanted a war between the two tribes. Perhaps she could use this opportunity to...
