Chapter 200: Chapter 200: Ready for Battle, On the Verge of Breaking Out

Tyler paced around in an anxious frenzy, while Ophelia’s face was equally grim.

Klein gave Ophelia a deep look. "I’m afraid it’s Kaka."

Ophelia’s pupils constricted at his words. She agitatedly grabbed Klein’s arm. "Why would he take Dan’er? I’m the one who killed Brada. If he wants revenge, he should come after me."

Ophelia’s eyes reddened at the corners, overcome with intense emotion.

Seeing this, Klein quickly comforted her. "Don’t worry just yet. If he really wanted to kill Dan’er, it wouldn’t just be a simple disappearance."

Ophelia understood Klein’s meaning. If Kaka truly intended to kill her son, they wouldn’t just be unable to find him—they would have already seen his corpse.

"Then what should we do now?" Tyler asked, his forehead breaking out in a cold sweat.

"All we can do now is wait," Klein said. "Kaka’s ultimate target is Ophelia. To him, Dan’er is merely bait."

And it was bait that would undoubtedly force Ophelia’s hand.

Ophelia calmed down slightly. "Alright. I’ll wait for him to come."

Because she was so worried about Dan’er, Ophelia tossed and turned all night, unable to fall asleep. Just then, a sudden THUD echoed outside as a heavy object hit the ground.

Startled, Ophelia quickly sat up from the bed and ran out of the stone house barefoot. Klein hurriedly followed her outside, where they spotted a dark figure lying in front of the door.

Ophelia’s heart immediately clenched as she wondered if it was Dan’er. Her legs grew weak, and Klein quickly reached out to support her.

"I’ll go take a look first," Klein said. He cautiously approached. Crouching down, he found that the dark figure was tall—an adult. "It’s not Dan’er."

Ophelia let out a massive sigh of relief and quickly stepped forward as well.

"Jiuying?" As Klein helped the person up, Ophelia finally got a clear look at his face. "Why is it him?"

While Ophelia was surprised, Klein’s brow furrowed with a bad premonition. "Let’s bring him inside first," he said.

Klein supported the man into the house and fed him a bowl of clean water. After half an hour, Jiuying finally woke up groggily. When he saw Ophelia’s familiar face, he immediately perked up and struggled to sit up.

"Ophelia, run! Your relationship with the Young Master has been exposed," he urged. "He sent me to notify you. You need to take the little masters and leave immediately."

Klein clenched his fists. It was exactly as he had guessed.

"Kaka returned to the Holy Capital?" Ophelia asked, somewhat puzzled.

Jiuying shook his head. "It wasn’t Kaka. It was a male from the Snow Wolf Clan."

Ophelia was shocked, never expecting that Kaka would actually collude with the Snow Wolf Clan. These Snow Wolf members were truly everywhere. She had already severed her mate bond with Loki, and Loki was dead. How could she still be entangled with them? They were like a bad rash she just couldn’t shake.

"Master, don’t worry about that right now. Hurry and leave with the little masters." Jiuying was frantic, wishing he could pack Ophelia’s things this very instant and send her away.

Ophelia shook her head. "Kaka took Dan’er. I can’t leave."

"What? Kaka took the little master?" Jiuying felt as if he had been struck by lightning. He gritted his teeth. "Master, you must leave. I will go rescue the little master.

"The Fire Phoenix Family Master knows about you and the Young Master. He will definitely send members of the Fire Phoenix Clan to Ten Thousand Beasts City to capture you.

"They might already be on their way. If you don’t leave now, you’ll be in danger." He estimated it would only take a day or two for the Fire Phoenix Clan to arrive.

"Jiuying, don’t panic just yet. We have a way to deal with the Fire Phoenix males," Tyler spoke up to reassure him.

Jiuying looked at Klein in disbelief.

Klein nodded calmly. "It’s true, otherwise Ophelia and Zerev wouldn’t have been able to kill Brada so easily."

"Alright. I understand."

Meanwhile, at the Snow Wolf Clan’s territory.

Soro looked at Dan’er on the ground, somewhat surprised. "Why did you capture him? And you even brought him back to the Snow Wolf Clan."

Soro broke into a cold sweat. He could support Kaka in secret, but blatantly opposing Ophelia was something he still couldn’t bring himself to do. After all, the painful price of their previous clashes was already permanently engraved in his mind.

"Relax, I’m the one who did this. It won’t implicate you," Kaka said, waving his hand dismissively.

Soro secretly curled his lip. The boy was already here, yet Kaka claimed it wouldn’t implicate him. How was that possible? He sighed helplessly. For now, he could only take it one step at a time.

FLUTTER FLUTTER.

A fiery red pigeon landed on a tree outside the stone house, emitting a soft COO COO sound.

Kaka’s expression shifted, and he hurriedly walked out. He raised his arm, and the pigeon landed squarely on it. Tied to its leg was a fiery red feather and two strips of animal skin.

Kaka was overjoyed. "Kosa has already sent the message back to the Holy Capital. The Family Master has dispatched people to Ten Thousand Beasts City. They will arrive in two days."

"That fast?" Soro was taken aback by the Fire Phoenix Clan’s speed.

Kaka, however, remained calm, only hoping inwardly that they could arrive even faster. But since the Fire Phoenix Clan would be here soon, he was no longer in a rush to deal with Ophelia himself.

"Soro, have you finished making the shields I asked for?"

Ever since his injuries healed, Kaka had been developing defensive weapons to counter bows and arrows. He had experimented several times before determining that trunks from ten-year-old trees were thick enough to withstand the new weapons. So, he had asked Soro to craft shields out of them.

"They are finished, but they are incredibly heavy. Carrying them around will severely restrict our movement." Soro had been completely stunned by the power of the new weapons. He never expected it would take ten-year-old wood to block their attacks. But lugging such thick, cumbersome shields into a fight would be highly impractical. In other words, these new weapons were practically invincible for now.

"Having them is better than nothing," Kaka replied.

While Soro and Kaka waited for the Fire Phoenix Clan’s reinforcements, Ophelia and Tyler were working overtime to craft bows and arrows. They were actively teaching the males in the tribe how to use them and training new archers. All the archers had taken a Beast Oath, swearing never to betray Ophelia or the Fuzu Tribe.

Ophelia had even specifically asked Lantai to carve unique codes into their arrow fletching and bow grips. The number of arrows issued to each person was strictly fixed, and any losses had to be reported immediately.

The Fuzu Tribe was on high alert. Jiuying had also informed Moye about the possibility of a Fire Phoenix Clan attack. Upon hearing this, Moye personally visited the Fuzu Tribe.

"Ophelia, rest assured. I have people keeping watch. The moment anyone from the Fire Phoenix Clan steps foot into Ten Thousand Beasts City’s territory, I will notify you immediately." He watched the archers drilling, a look of worry still lingering on his face. "Ophelia, you really should listen to Jiuying and leave with the little masters."

"There’s no need."

After the battle with Brada, Ophelia was extremely confident in her bows, arrows, and crossbows. Furthermore, she had added fifty more archers this time. Even if she had to face Fire Phoenix males, she wasn’t afraid. These cold weapons gave her absolute confidence.

Seeing her insistence, Moye could only sigh. He ordered his subordinates to stay vigilant and to report back immediately the moment they spotted any members of the Fire Phoenix Clan.
