Chapter 475: Exploration

“This man must have arrived in this world aboard a triangular airship.”

“To put it simply, he must be someone from beyond the heavens.”

Han Yuan added.

“Hmm… no wonder the architectural style here is completely different from our own.”

“To come from beyond the heavens… truly incredible.”

Li Baozhou said in amazement.

On this trip, they had finally figured out the origins of the Immortal Sect Organization.

Other than these few metal murals, there were no other clues in the empty hall.

Han Yuan and Li Baozhou walked straight through the hall into the area behind it.

This seemed to be a living area, but they found no useful information there either.

However, in the living area, there was an undamaged staircase leading to the second floor.

The two naturally followed the metal staircase up to the second floor.

“This is…”

The moment Han Yuan reached the second floor of the pyramid, he couldn’t help but narrow his eyes.

Before him appeared rows of individual metal cells. These cells had transparent glass doors, allowing one to see what was inside.

Han Yuan looked into the nearest metal cell and saw a humanoid skeleton inside.

The humanoid skeleton was over three meters tall. Its head was swollen and oversized, causing its cervical vertebrae to droop under the weight, and sharp bone spurs protruded from its spine.

“What kind of monster is this now…”

Li Baozhou felt his horizons had truly been broadened this time; he was encountering every kind of monster imaginable.

“It was probably human… just one that was corrupted,” Han Yuan said softly.

“Corrupted… by an Evil Demon Seed? The Immortal Sect Organization actually imprisoned Evil Demon Seeds.”

“What were they trying to get from the Evil Demon Seeds?”

Li Baozhou mused.

“I don’t know… but they were definitely very interested in Evil Demon Seeds.”

“This whole place is basically a laboratory…”

Han Yuan couldn’t help but say.

“A laboratory…”

Although it was the first time Li Baozhou had heard this word, he quickly grasped its meaning.

It wasn’t just this one room; nearly all the subsequent metal cells contained bizarre and ferocious humanoid monsters.

Some of the metal cells had been destroyed, and the Evil Demon Seeds they once held had likely escaped.

For now, Han Yuan and Li Baozhou had no intention of opening the cells to investigate the Evil Demon Seeds inside.

In theory, after so many years—and even now, during a period of Spiritual Qi eruption—the fact that these Evil Demon Seeds showed no signs of activity should mean they were completely dead.

‘But they’re Evil Demon Seeds, after all… Unless they’re burned to ash, there’s still a risk.’

After exploring the second floor, they went up to the third.

This floor was also like a laboratory.

However, the metal cells here were almost completely destroyed, and the floor was covered in obvious marks like craters and claw prints.

It was clear that a fierce battle had once taken place here.

The monsters in the metal cells must have broken free.

“This floor must be a higher level than the second. The imprisoned monsters reached the level of Source Evil Seeds.”

“Back then, a mutation occurred in the city, which even affected this laboratory and allowed these monsters to escape.”

Han Yuan said softly.

“Hmm… the Third Layer already has Source Evil Seeds.”

“Then what’s on the Fourth Layer?”

Li Baozhou looked up toward the fourth floor.

The pyramid building had a total of five layers.

The Fifth Layer at the apex had been destroyed, but the Fourth Layer was still intact.

“I don’t know… could it be Source Seed Shredded Meat?”

Han Yuan guessed.

If it was Source Seed Shredded Meat, it would mean that members of the Immortal Sect Organization had definitely entered the Bronze Immortal Sect, and they were among the first to do so.

“I’d like to know, too.”

Li Baozhou muttered to himself.

The two carefully made their way to the Fourth Layer of the pyramid.

The result was disappointing.

This Fourth Layer was completely different from the second and third.

It was more like a library.

If it had been well-preserved, it would have been a major discovery.

Unfortunately, it had also been severely ravaged. A large number of books were burned, leaving everything charred black.

Han Yuan began to search carefully and actually managed to find a piece of paper that wasn’t completely burned.

Only about a fifth of the paper remained, covered in densely packed text that looked like squirming earthworms.

“Senior, can you read this?”

Han Yuan handed the paper over.

After a few glances, Li Baozhou shook his head. “I’ve never seen this kind of writing. It must be from beyond the heavens.”

“It’s a shame nearly all the books here were destroyed. If even one or two had survived, we might have been able to learn something.”

With only these scattered scraps of paper, it was impossible to glean any useful information.

After finishing with the Fourth Layer, the two had only managed to collect a few scraps of paper before leaving the pyramid.

In the following days, they gave the desolate and dilapidated city a rough once-over but made no further discoveries.

As for the Immortal Sect Organization, they never appeared, and there was no telling where they were hiding.

“Han Yuan, let’s head back for now.”

“There’s not much point in staying here searching any longer.”

Li Baozhou said softly.

They had already been away from the fleet for several days.

If they didn’t return soon, they would likely cause some unnecessary worry.

“Alright.” Han Yuan had been thinking the same thing.

The two quickly left the ruined city and headed back toward the fleet.

…..

On a dark and gloomy sea, dozens of massive ships were arranged in a spectacular formation.

One ship stood out, pointing toward Glazed Island like an arrowhead.

At the ship’s bow, Ling Yunzi, Liang Ze, Zhang Cang, Yan Qingyu, Fei Laichuan, and others all stood on deck, gazing at the distant Glazed Island.

“It’s been several days since Han Yuan left for Glazed Island.”
