I Grind to Martial Saint
Chapter 482: Speculation (2)
‘I’ll just write this much… I feel like that thing’s consciousness is about to control my body again…’
After Han Yuan finished reading the diary, he remained silent for a long time.
Although what the Nether Dragon said differed slightly from his own theories.
However, that was to be expected.
The information he’d had before was too scarce and fragmented to be anything but a rough patchwork of guesses.
But now, after reading the Nether Dragon’s diary, Han Yuan finally understood the source of it all.
‘Source Demon Blood… Ancient God Stone… What exactly are these things…’
‘I can’t believe the Immortal Sect’s creator never died. Instead, he devoured the Source Demon Blood and became the Source Seed.’
‘His consciousness can even awaken within his descendants’ bloodlines… But with the Nether Dragon’s death, that consciousness should no longer be able to act freely.’
‘But the time I have left… is truly running out.’
Han Yuan took a deep breath.
This was not something he could run from, no matter how much he wanted to.
If something went wrong with the Source Seed, all four continents would become polluted.
When that happened, no one would be able to escape.
Therefore, the only thing Han Yuan could do was face it head-on.
Han Yuan then remained in the secret underground chamber, examining the books on the shelves.
Fortunately, there was a dictionary. Han Yuan quickly skimmed it and mastered the script of the Black River Civilization.
There were many books. Some were about technology, which held little interest for Han Yuan.
He quickly searched for records about this ancestor but found only a few scattered notes.
The Nether Dragon had already covered the important information in his diary.
Still, Han Yuan did make some discoveries.
One book contained information on the Source Demon Blood and the Ancient God Stone.
‘Source Demon Blood… from the blood of higher cosmic beings… They are ancient and powerful, chaotic and without order…’
‘Ancient God Stone… from a cosmic Ancient God. It must have been kept close to the Ancient God for a long time, irradiated by its power. It can suppress the contamination from the Source Demon Blood…’
‘Source Demon… Ancient God… These must be terrifying cosmic entities.’
‘I wonder where the creator of the Immortal Sect even found these two items.’
Han Yuan let out a long breath.
Next, he examined the other books.
He soon found a book that described the different levels of cosmic civilizations.
‘Cosmic civilizations are classified by power… into primitive, low-level, mid-level, and high-level civilizations… There are also rumored to be chaotic civilizations…’
‘The development paths of these planetary civilizations vary greatly…’
In this book, Han Yuan read about many brilliant types of civilizations.
Technology, immortal cultivation, giant beasts, martial arts, Spiritual Energy…
‘The Black River Civilization is a technological one, a mid-level civilization…’
‘Our world is a low-level civilization… we don’t even have the power to explore beyond our planet.’
‘But our individual power is stronger than that of a technological system. We’re a Cultivation Civilization…’
After finishing the book, Han Yuan had a general understanding of the various cosmic civilizations.
But just as the Nether Dragon had said, this knowledge was of little use to him at the moment.
The most important task at hand was still dealing with the awakening of the Immortal Sect’s creator.
Once he broke free from the Bronze Immortal Sect, everyone on the planet would likely be contaminated.
After spending a few more days reading all the books, Han Yuan left the secret underground chamber.
By this time, the others had more or less finished regrouping.
The seriously injured had already been sent back to the ship to prepare for the return voyage.
In addition, there were the bodies of the fallen experts…
To prevent any unforeseen incidents, Ling Yunzi was put in charge of leading the group back.
After all, these people had all been injured by the Source Seed Shredded Meat and were at risk of contamination.
Liang Ze, however, planned to stay behind with a group to explore the ruined city.
But Han Yuan made a surprising decision.
He, too, would return on the giant ship.
Before leaving, however, he told Liang Ze the location of the secret underground chamber.
…
WHOOSH—
Dark clouds hung low in the sky, and the fierce wind howled like a wailing Ancient God.
Han Yuan, Yan Qingyu, and Ling Yunzi stood at the ship’s bow.
“Elder Li instructed me before his death… If he were to die in the battle on Glazed Island, his ashes were to be left in the Storm Sea.”
“Now, it is time to fulfill his wish.”
Yan Qingyu, holding a funerary urn, tossed it into the air.
HUMMM!!!
For a moment, the sound of countless sword cries echoed from within the cold, turbulent Storm Sea.
CRACK!
Unable to withstand the power of the sword cries, the urn exploded.
Li Baozhou’s ashes scattered into the Storm Sea.
Han Yuan stood there quietly for a long time.
At that moment, he was struck by a profound sense of loneliness.
Before, Li Baozhou had fought by his side… and in the blink of an eye, he was alone.
The loneliness and pressure were difficult to put into words.
Han Yuan understood that to deal with the Source Seed, he could only rely on himself.
The strength of others was far too insignificant.
Perhaps it was fate, or perhaps it was a coincidence.
When Li Baozhou gave the Ancient God Stone to Han Yuan, everything seemed to have already been decided.
‘Sleep well in the Storm Sea… Leave the rest to me.’
Han Yuan thought to himself, then turned and walked away.
…
The journey back to the Great Li Dynasty was a long one.
Han Yuan returned to his room to cultivate.
He had already cultivated the Five Emperors Great Demon Divine Skill to the Nirvana Realm, pushing it to a state that could be considered unprecedented in all of history.
It could not be advanced any further.
This realm had only ever been theoretical; no one before Han Yuan had ever reached it.
Han Yuan himself had only managed the breakthrough thanks to his Skill Proficiency Panel and the fierce battle with the Nether Dragon.
He opened his Skill Proficiency Panel.
Host: Han Yuan
Five Emperors Great Demon Divine Skill: Perfection (Demon Emperor’s Descent)
Primordial Divine Fist: Great Success (556/25000)
Eight Desolates Dragon God Observation Method: Seventh Layer (4721/12000)
Nine Mountains Heart Guarding True Skill: Perfection (Unmoving as a Mountain)
During the battle on Glazed Island, not only had his Five Emperors Great Demon Divine Skill reached Perfection, but his Primordial Divine Fist had also advanced to the Great Success Realm.
The Divine Power formed upon reaching Perfection in the Five Emperors Great Demon Divine Skill greatly enhanced his combat strength.
It improved not only his speed, explosive power, and defense, but also his reaction time, and even greatly reduced his perception of pain.
Furthermore, with the protection of the Five Elements Evil Qi, he would be immune to most Energy Attacks.
In other words, it was equivalent to a three-stage transformation.
‘Next, I need to cultivate the Primordial Divine Fist and the Eight Desolates Dragon God Observation Method to Perfection… and then discover a new Cultivation Realm.’
Han Yuan knew that the Nirvana Realm was far from the true peak of what the human body could achieve.
In the Glazed Basement, he had read about many Cultivation Civilizations. Some Human Race civilizations were exceptionally powerful, with experts capable of traversing the cosmos in their physical bodies, shattering planets with a single punch, or even fighting against the ancient entities of the universe.
The Nirvana Realm was merely the current limit of this world’s Cultivation System.
What Han Yuan had to do now was break that limit and achieve what no one before him ever had.
In fact, if it weren’t for the advent of the Chaotic Ancient Era, the ancients might have long ago discovered the path beyond the Nirvana Realm.
But because of the turmoil caused by the Source Seed, the progress of Cultivation Power had stagnated for countless years.
In a sense, it had even regressed.
Therefore, Han Yuan could only explore this path alone.
And he had less than a century to do it.
But this pressure only fueled his motivation.
In the days that followed, Han Yuan cultivated the Primordial Divine Fist day and night in his room.
「The day before they arrived at Blue Moon Island.」
As Han Yuan was practicing his punches on deck, he felt the muscles in his arms tremble. They rapidly swelled and bulged, his veins coiling like great serpents, as a flood of insights about the Primordial Fist surged into his mind.
Primordial Divine Fist: Perfection (Primordial Qi)
“Primordial Qi?” Han Yuan’s mind stirred, and he carefully began to comprehend it.
This Divine Power allowed Han Yuan to instantly condense his Five Elements Evil Qi, forming a terrifyingly destructive force.
‘Nothing else is going on… a perfect time to test it out.’
With a thought, Han Yuan leaped from the deck and landed on the surface of the Storm Sea.
He circulated the Five Emperors Great Demon Qi within his body.
The Five Elements merged, transforming into a gray Primordial Qi that coated the surface of his fist.
Without hesitation, Han Yuan smashed his fist onto the surface of the Storm Sea.
