I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!

Chapter 265: I Will Make Them Pay!!

  • Next Chapter

The kitchen went silent as he heard nothing but sobbing noises coming out from the other side of the phone.

At some point in time during his call, Woolie had stopped eating; Rose had gone completely still while Neva’s six eyes went wide, but not with horror, but something else. Something colder.

Raiden’s face was blank.

Too blank.

"Iris," he said, his voice very quiet now. "Tell me, when did it happen, and where are you right now? Can you please share your current location with me?!"

"I-I’m still at the ice cream parlour. The police came, but they said they’d need time to investigate, and I didn’t know what else to do, so I called you because Sylvia always said if anything ever happened, I should call you, and—"

"Stay there. Don’t move. Don’t talk to anyone else. Also, call your teacher, Yuna. I’m on my way!!"

He hung up before she could respond.

The kitchen was filled with tension as he hung up the call.

Woolie was the first to move.

He hopped off the counter, his little hooves hitting the floor with a heavy thud. His wool, usually fluffy and soft, seemed to bristle, and violet lightning started crackling around his body.

"Woolie Woo..." His voice was low and dangerous.

They dare to take Sylvi?!

Raiden didn’t answer him; he just turned and walked out of the kitchen, his movements completely mechanical.

Rose uncoiled from the syrup bottle and slithered down onto the floor, her golden eyes narrowed into slits.

"Hiss..." Her voice was cold. Someone touched our family; I will end their entire Bloodline.

Neva hopped off the table and landed beside her, all eight limbs tensed and ready.

"Sha Sha..." Her voice was quiet, but there was no fear in it. Only anger.

They’ll regret it.

Raiden didn’t stop.

He walked through the house, out the back door, and around the side of the farmhouse where a small hangar sat half-hidden behind the trees. Inside was a sleek black jet, the one he had won and exchanged as a gift from Morgana. He had commissioned Maple to create a hangar for it.

Raiden had never been aboard once because he never really got a chance to use it, until now.

He climbed the steps, Woolie, Rose, and Neva following close behind, and dropped into the pilot’s seat.

His hands were steady as he ran through all the buttons on the dashboard. He had no idea how to pilot it, but thankfully he didn’t need to.

His face was still blank.

But his eyes...

His eyes were burning with vengeful fire.

"Woolie Woo..." Woolie’s voice was low as he settled into the seat beside Raiden, violet lightning dancing across his wool.

Don’t worry, human. Emperor Woolie is with you. We’ll find them, and when we do, we’ll make them pay!!

Rose coiled around Raiden’s neck, her golden eyes fixed on the horizon.

"Hiss..." Her voice was ice. Whoever took her... I’ll drink them dry.

A brief flash of something hidden appeared in Rose’s eyes, something that was beyond her age, but it faded away just as quickly.

Neva climbed onto Raiden’s other shoulder, her eyes glowing with a light that wasn’t quite golden anymore. It was pink. Hot and sharp, like a blade.

"Sha Sha..." Her voice was quiet, but it carried weight. Neva will bring sister Sylvi back!! Nobody touches our family and walks away.

Raiden didn’t respond.

He just gripped the controls tighter and hit the ignition.

The jet’s engines roared to life, and the hangar doors slid open, revealing the too-calm sky beyond.

"Greetings, Master, welcome aboard. Cortana is at your service. Where would you like to go?"

A pleasant female voice rang out in the cockpit. It had a very familiar feel to it, programmed after his official girlfriend, Morgana, but Raiden wasn’t in any mood to appreciate it right now.

Raiden’s jaw clenched.

"No matter who touched my little sister," he said, his voice low and dangerous, "there will be hell to pay. Cortana, these are the coordinates. I want you to fly there immediately at the fastest speed possible. I don’t care about any of the rules, regulations, or permissions. Just get me there as fast as possible. "

"Understood, Master, locating the given coordinates, charting a direct flight course to destination. Estimated arrival time: T-3 minutes. Please strap on your seatbelts. Wishing you a pleasant journey~"

The jet shot out of the hangar and into the sky, leaving a trail of dust and displaced air in its wake.

Behind them, the farm grew smaller and smaller.

Ahead of them, the too-calm sky stretched out in every direction, hiding whatever came next.

Raiden didn’t care.

He was coming for Sylvia.

And whoever had taken her was about to learn exactly what that meant.

"Woolie," he said, his voice low and controlled, "when we find them, I want you to hold nothing back."

"Woolie Woo!!" The little sheep’s eyes gleamed.

That goes without saying!!

"Rose. When we find them, I want you to make them regret ever being born."

"Hiss..." Rose’s tongue flicked out.

Gladly.

"Neva. When we find them, I want you to show them what happens when they mess with our family."

"Sha Sha!!" Neva’s eyes blazed. "They’ll be begging for mercy before we’re done."

Raiden’s grip on the controls tightened.

"Good. Because I’m not in the mood to be merciful today. Whoever touched my family, I’ll show them what the exact consequences are for doing it."

The jet tore through the clouds, its engines screaming as Cortana pushed it far beyond any normal flight speed. Below, the city blurred into streaks of grey and glass, and the too-calm wind finally began to move, as if the world itself had sensed the storm that was coming.

Woolie’s lightning crackled louder with every second, his wool bristling as violet sparks danced across the cockpit. Rose tightened her coils around Raiden’s neck, her golden eyes never leaving the horizon, while Neva’s pink glow reflected off the glass, sharp and hungry.

Three minutes had never felt so long.

Raiden stared at the coordinates on the screen, his jaw clenched so tight it hurt. Somewhere ahead, Sylvia was scared. Somewhere ahead, someone had made the worst mistake of their life.

And when he found them, he was going to make sure they understood exactly what that mistake had cost.
