Night locked his gaze with Razen, and this time he took the initiative.

He pulled his fist back, turning his wrist, and put his whole weight and the gathered momentum into his punch.

Boom.

It sounded as if a jet had broken the sound barrier.

Razen, the target, felt death for a moment. He expected something else from the kid.

Realizing he might fail to take it head on, he brought both his arms into a cross shape and braced for impact.

Bam.

Razen flew like a baseball struck by a bat. His body slammed into the mountain, forming a small crater.

The rest of the group, about to assist their leader, paused in their tracks.

Razen recovered in a flash, as his stood straight as is his glitched.

His eight foot body looked undamaged, but his body shivered a little. It served as a sign that although he lacked visible injuries, he suffered from the impact.

His internal organs paid the price for him.

Razen narrowed his eyes and analyzed Night, now treating his opponent as a genuine threat.

Night remained unbothered by his gaze. He waved his hands and the space split.

From the gap came Jeffy, Teffy, Rango, and Argus with four more from his clan.

Rango looked around. He saw both groups. His eyes paused on Vance and then locked onto Razen.

"So they sent you? I expected someone better," Rango said.

Yup, he started with trash talk.

And from the looks of it, it worked.

Razen twitched his eyes. "Rango, what are you doing with the enemies?"

Fighting Night was one thing. Even if it looked dangerous, the fight had just begun.

But fighting Rango posed a problem. The wolf knew most of his tricks, rendering many of his trump cards pointless.

"The Mystic Moon Immortal sent you here with great hopes after you claimed your desire to conquer this world for our people," Razen said. "Your actions also moved me. Feeling inspired, did not hesitate to come here."

Rango glared at Razen. He understood the scheme. With his words, Razen wanted to create a rift so they would fail to work together, or better yet, fall apart and fight each other.

Night already knew what transpired. He possessed the memories of the five werewolves he had eaten and refused to be swayed by such a ploy.

But Argus, Teffy, and Jeffy felt different. They wore guarded expressions as they looked at Rango.

An invader remained an outsider. Their position earned them little trust. They would never consider working alongside Rango if not for Night.

Razen looked at Night, expecting a reaction. He disliked what he saw.

Night wore a calm expression. He ignored Razen and focused on the black robed man. This man represented an unknown variable because he never appeared in any of the memories from the werewolves.

The Werewolves had clearly interacted with this man but the man didn’t exist in their memories, which meant those memories had been tampered with some way that he didn’t understand.

This made him cautious, enough to focus on him instead of Razen, who appeared stronger.

Black roots erupted from the ground where the black robed man stood, forcing him to dodge by jumping.

Razen wanted to help. Before he could act, Rango got in his face. His glare proved the earlier words failed to weaken his their trust.

Worse, Rango now focused on him.

Among the other werewolves, three that looked stronger than the rest tried to join Razen.

But Argus and Jeffy, who had now merged with Teffy, interrupted their advance.

Jeffy gleamed with dark eyes as he swung his hammer at the invader, holding nothing back. The invaders responded in kind with their weapons, their clashed as their weapons created spark..

Argus manipulated the earth to support Jeffy. He attacked, raising earth pillars that aimed to turn their opponents into meat paste. His attack were proof of the burning rage he felt inside for what the invaders had done to his Clan.

He didn’t see any corpses so he assumed the invaders had dececrated their the corpse as well, making him loose him mind.

While this happened the other four Earth Spirits attacked the third werewolf and kept it busy, the Earth Spirits were already because of the previous fight plue the invaders were more skilled in fighting making winning much harder.

While this happened, the remaining eleven werewolves refused to idle.

Before they could provide support, blackish purple portals opened near them. Eve, Lilith, Lucy, Death, Zero, Sage, Nuwa, and Dolly stepped out.

Behind them stood three clones of Night. The fourth clone, observed from the shadows.

The battlefield paused when three more clones of Night appeared. Even the black robed man, who had just dodged an attack, looked alarmed.

"Wai..." the black robed man started to speak for the first time.

Night refused to let him talk. A yellow ball formed on his hand, and he thrust the palm holding the ball toward the black robed man.

[Yellow Bomb]

Night knew letting such a shady character talk was stupid. It represented a classic tactic to buy time, and he wanted none of it.

The incensed black robed man responded with an attack of his own.

Black chains radiating death energy flew from under his robes.

Boom.

The chains clashed with the ball. The surroundings shattered as an attack of such magnitude detonated.

Night stood at the center of the impact. His body screamed as the blast pulverized the bones in his hand. Blood leaked from his lips alongside pieces of his inner organs.

Night felt disoriented by the blast, but he fixed his gaze on the black robed man.

The man stood there without moving. But the black robes he wore vanished. They failed to survive the clash.

Night could see him now. Those robes had blocked his Domain, blinding him to the man despite their proximity.

And now they were gone.

The man possessed black hair and black eyes. He looked as pale as a corpse. He wore a black suit and a black rune rested on his forehead.

The wind blew the dust around them, shifting his hair in the process. The man stood there while the chains coiled around him like snakes.

The man looked at Night and asked, "Did you have to do that?"

He chuckled at his own words. "But it accomplished nothing. Knowing how I look changes nothing. I am not here, same as you."

Night lacked pupils. Otherwise, they would have constricted to pinpoints in shock.

...

Lilith and Eve moved toward their opponents without hesitation. They chose two werewolves standing close to each other.

The two female werewolves looked at Lilith and Eve. One mocked, "It seems he underestimates us. He even sent his dogs." The arm she had lost to Night was half healed.

The other female werewolf cautioned she didn’t have any injuries on her, "Do not provoke him. At least this way we get easy opponents."

"We can drag this out, wait for an opportunity, and join the leader."

Lilith and Eve heard them talk like they represented an easy win. Electric sparks flared around Eve as she said, "They want to defeat us and kill Master."

Lilith paused beside her, looked at Eve, and corrected, "I do not think that is what they meant."

Eve held a hollow gaze as she spoke. "They are the only females in the group. What if they use their pitiful appearance and trick him?"

Lilith looked speechless. "Girl, did you short circuit your motherboard with all the training? You needed to listen to me when I suggested Darkness and ditched that troublesome aspect."

But Eve resided in a different realm altogether. Her mechanical brain ran in overdrive. Her blue electric currents turned a purplish blue, and her eyes flashed with purplish blue sparks.

Eve spoke with a scary look that frightened even her sister. "Twelve."

"What?" Lilith asked.

Eve turned and looked at Lilith with a deadpan expression. "There are twelve of us now and only one Master."

"Is it not good Master has more friends?" Lilith questioned. "Was he not lonely with just us in the facility?"

Eve looked at her sister as if staring at an idiot. "How much time exists in a day?"

"Eighty six thousand and four hundred seconds?" Lilith answered.

Such small numbers failed to challenge her basic math protocols.

"What if this keeps going on? What if hundreds of us exist in the future?" Eve ranted.

"How much time will he spend with us?

What if the newer ones prove more useful?

What if they know how to cook better than us?

Clean better than us?

Pamper him better than us?"

Imaginary spirals spun in her eyes.

She spiraled into a hole of paranoia. Even the werewolves looked spooked by her expression.

But the word did manage to reach her sister, look of enlightenment dawned on Lilith. She connected the dots. The mountain appeared darker, as if someone had reduced the voltage of the light from heavens.

Lilith spoke with a cold and mechanical voice. "I see, sister. We have some cache clearing to do, otherwise the storage will be full very soon."

Her eyes locked onto the werewolves with pure murder.
