As her aura broke through the Demigod Realm, it kept rising without stopping.

It made no sense how she was able to break the suppression of the world.

Night’s four clones immediately attacked, one by one.

One clone used Yellow Bomb from above, the attack was as big as a football. Another slashed with a blade from the right, the weapon’s edge glowing with a powerful intent.

A third clone attacked from the left. This one simply punched, his fist covered in concentrated Nightmare Mist that literally distorted the space around it as it reached the spear-wielding Werewolf.

The last clone held a root of the Nightmare Origin Tree, swinging it like a whip.

The Werewolf merely smiled. By now, all the other Werewolves were dead except for Razen, and the surroundings were fully covered in blood.

She waved her hand, and the blood retracted, covering her in a protective bubble.

Boom! Slash! Smash! Whip!

All four attacks connected. Lilith, who was awfully close to the blast radius, flew backward as the aftermath of the attacks hit her.

She only survived because, at the last moment, she was covered in a bubble of Nightmare Mist, and the Nightmare Origin Tree used a root to pull her away and shield her.

But this did manage to pull her safely away from the Werewolf, which was the main intention of the attack anyway.

Night was no fool.

He knew the moment she broke through to the Demigod Realm that fighting her was a foolish endeavor.

As this happened, he sent a telepathic message to his friends to return to the Inner World, while the Nightmare Origin Tree picked up Argus and his clanmates, teleporting them to the first mountain.

He left Rango and Jeffy behind because he felt that, unlike the others, they could still support him. He had not yet lost hope of claiming this city.

The spear-wielding Werewolf thought her defense would stand against Night, and it did manage to block the Yellow Bomb and the concentrated Nightmare Mist punch.

But the clone with the blade managed to punch a hole in the bubble, while the clone holding the Nightmare Origin Tree’s root as a whip completely shattered it.

The Werewolf felt a chill. The blood bubble, which was supposed to suck even a Demigod dry, wasn’t able to block the disaster’s roots.

She realized she had underestimated her opponent again. Just as the bubble was about to be destroyed by the root, she pulled her spear back and swiped horizontally.

As she swiped, blood-red fire was released.

Looking at the attack all of Night’s clones immediately abandoned any idea of attacking and retreated, but it was already too late. It was impossible to dodge a Demigod’s attack from so close.

Three of Night’s clones didn’t even get a chance to cover themselves in Nightmare Mist before they were burned up and absorbed by the blood-red fire.

The last clone only survived because the Nightmare Origin Tree’s root had covered him in a protective dome at the very last second.

...

In the Dream City, Night’s main body, which was in meditation, coughed up a mouthful of blood as his eyes snapped open abruptly.

He had lost three clones, all of them absorbed by that weird fire.

He looked solemnly at his soul. He could feel tiny cracks forming on it, telling him that what had just happened was no illusion.

For the first time he was eaten and even though it was his clones it felt as real as if it had happened to his main body.

...

Razen and Rango had stopped fighting the moment they saw it.

"For the Wolf Goddess’s sake," Razen cursed, "the abomination already has Blood Fire."

Rango looked unusually serious as he recalled what the Blood Fire and Blood aspect signified in a hybrid. It was clear from her appearance that she also possessed the physique of a Werewolf.

A hybrid that could use all these aspects was no different from a walking disaster, as it could grow stronger by absorbing the bloodlines of everything it refined and devoured.

A creature like this was guaranteed to become an Immortal.

This made him wonder why the fuck something like this was out in the open in this world in the edge of nowhere, when it could just hide, bide its time, and peacefully ascend to immortality.

Once it became an Immortal, even the Immortal Kings wouldn’t be able to kill it without risking death in the process.

Razen, Vance, Victor, and their group also realized this, looking more bewildered than scared.

Because they knew the moment she gained the strength of a Demigod, their deaths were already guaranteed.

And it was easy to accept dying to a monster like her.

But unlike the others something clicked in his mind, as the realisation hit, Vance looked at the hybrid and started laughing. "Hahahahaha!" he laughed with pure madness. "I came here for nothing! The bastard was already destined to die!"

"I came here and basically offered myself up on a silver platter, and I even brought the artifact with me!"

"Mystic Moon Immortal, you motherfucker... fuck you, fuck your ancestors, and fuck their ancestors too!"

"You schemed all of this, didn’t you? First my sister, and now this. You were after the artifact all along. After she kills me, she gets the artifact and even the bloodline to use it!"

"You even manipulated Razen into this. Maybe you were also after the Sun and Moon Seed in his dantian!"

"Expanding the territory? Bullshit! I would have to have a donkey’s brain not to see it all after this."

Hearing all this, the chain-wielding man looked at him with interest and thought, Interesting. So that’s why the Lord asked me to join these people... If it is as he says, then I can recruit her to help me search for the Dead God’s Corpse in the Death Zone.

Just because you knew the corpse was on the planet, didn’t mean you could get your hands on it.

A corpse, especially a God’s was different from a normal physical corpse; it was a literal force of nature. Claiming it was far more difficult than finding one, though, of course, finding one was no simple task either.

Razen’s eyes widened, while Rango’s hairs stood on end as he realised the plot, because Rango realized Razen was not the only target.

His Sacred Union was a cheat skill that ignored all the bullshit the System normally imposed on such abilities. It could be used to combine anything, and right now, only he knew how to acquire it.

Unlike how they had fought previously due to their differences in opinion, right now, both Razen and Rango shared the exact same thought: I am fucked.

Both of them looked at each other and saw the same expression. One bolted down the mountain, and the other ran for the sky.

The spear-wielding Werewolf laughed at this. "Do you really think any of you can escape?"

The next moment, something astonishing happened. The Werewolf jumped, and she was already upon Razen.

Behind her, Vance’s maddened laughter could be heard. "Yesss... kill the fucker! I want to see him die!"

The next moment, Vance pulled out an artifact. It looked like a miniature tower made of blood.

As soon as it was released, it started greedily absorbing Vance’s blood.

Baaamm!

It released a terrifying aura that caused the space around the city to distort for a second.

The Vampires beside him were pressed into the ground, their bodies forced into a prostrating posture toward the tower.

Booom!

The next moment, the sealing array was torn apart like a piece of paper.

The only clone of Night that had survived the blood-red fire looked over, and what he saw almost caused his soul to leave his body.

Because he saw something written in tiny letters at the edge of the artifact, similar to how financial companies hide micro-text at the end of a contract: Terms and Conditions Applied.

The small letters read: Game of Tower (Blood - Limited Edition)

He didn’t want to follow them after he saw it. It felt like his Natural Calamity Physique was cooking up some bullshit just waiting for him to step into it. But he hesitated for only a moment before chasing after them anyway.

Because he knew one thing, There is always fortune hidden in disaster

And that Tower looked like a pie of gold.

Just to be safe, he borrowed a small root from the Nightmare Origin Tree in his Inner World. He had seen how effective it was against the Werewolf and realized it probably hard-countered her.

The female Werewolf reached Razen in a flash.

What a joke, it would have been weird if Razen could have actually outrun her after she had become a Demigod.

Razen felt his death approach him, he suddenly had a determined yet pious look on his face as he muttered the following words:

"The Tree of Sun and Moon, Origin of Duality, Mother of Earth... Please awaken within me."

Razen released a blinding light that was radiant orange on one side and brilliant silver on the other. His body looked like it had become the playground of two cosmic forces that, despite being opposite and opposing in nature, now worked together in perfect tandem.

The female Werewolf had finally reached him, thrusting her spear at Razen without hesitation. The tip of the weapon burned with the same blood-red fire, but for some reason, its edges were now wreathed in an ominous blackish-purple mist.

Unlike the blood-red fire which burned with passion, this blackish-purple mist carved cuts into space. It was as if the world itself struggled to contain the mist now that it was being fed by the terrifying energy of a Demigod.
