Chapter 668: Chapter 668 Kidnapped for My Pure Yang Physique Again? It’s Only Thursday!

Xu Ran narrowed his eyes.

"This place is too dangerous."

He knew better than to cause trouble inside the city. Clear Moon City had attracted countless powerful cultivators because of Lin Feng.

Even ordinary-looking people walking through the streets could potentially be terrifying experts.

If he committed a crime here, there was a good chance he would be discovered before he could escape.

But outside the city... There were countless villages and smaller settlements. A cruel smile slowly appeared on Xu Ran’s face.

"It’s time to hunt."

He whispered the words before standing up.

A moment later, he changed into a set of dark robes and covered his face completely, leaving only his eyes visible. He had no intention of letting anyone recognize him.

The frustration he had accumulated over the past month had twisted into something much darker. Instead of confronting his failure, Xu Ran decided to take his anger out on someone weaker.

He intended to prey upon an innocent woman outside the city, believing that the isolated villages would provide him with easy victims.

He was not stupid enough to attempt such a thing in Clear Moon City. There were simply too many powerful cultivators watching.

"Let’s see if I can finally enjoy myself."

With those words, Xu Ran stepped outside.

"Whoosh!"

His figure instantly blurred.

He shot into the distance at astonishing speed, rapidly leaving the city behind.

The strength of his cultivation was obvious from his movement alone. In the blink of an eye, the city gates had disappeared behind him, and Xu Ran continued deeper into the wilderness.

Unfortunately for Xu Ran, he never even made it to the nearest village.

The dirt path beneath his feet was still damp from the evening rain, the distant smoke of chimneys barely visible through the treeline, when a shadow detached itself from the boughs above silent, swift, and far too large to be a bird.

Before he could turn, before his hand could even twitch toward any of the powerful techniques he knew, a strong palm cracked against his temple with the force of a swinging mallet.

Bang!

White light exploded behind his eyes. The world tilted, the trees spun into a green smear, and the ground rushed up to meet him but he never felt the impact.

Only darkness, deep and absolute, swallowing him whole.

He drifted in that void for what felt like hours, or perhaps only seconds.

Sounds came to him in fragments... the drip of water, the scrape of stone on stone, a low, wet chuckle that seemed to echo from everywhere and nowhere at once.

When he finally clawed his way back to awareness, the first thing he registered was the cold... a biting, bone deep chill that seeped up through his back and into his spine. The second was the weight.

He was flat on his back, stretched out like a sacrifice on an altar, and something heavy pressed down on his chest, his arms, his legs. He tried to move. Nothing.

His limbs might as well have been carved from stone. Panic flickered in his chest, hot and urgent, but when he tried to shout, to curse, to beg but his jaw would not open.

His tongue lay dead and useless in his mouth. It was like a strip of coarse cloth had been wound tight around his head, gagging him so thoroughly that even his breathing came in shallow, muffled gasps.

Above him, the ceiling was low and rough-hewn, slick with moisture that beaded and dripped onto his face with maddening regularity.

He rolled his eyes, the only part of him still free, and took in his surroundings... the simple walls of a room, a single guttering torch throwing sickly orange light across scattered tools and weird equipments, and the unmistakable outline of a metal slab... a corpse bed... beneath him.

The smell hit him then, thick and cloying... old blood, rotting meat, and something sweeter underneath, like overripe fruit left too long in the sun.

Then the fat face appeared.

It swam into view from the shadows above, a moon of pale, smooth flesh, framed by lank black hair that hung in greasy ropes.

Small, piggish eyes glittered with a terrible amusement, set deep in folds of cheek and brow.

The mouth was wet, red, and split into a grin that showed too many big white teeth hovered so close that Xu Ran could smell the sour reek of expensive wine and garlic on every exhale.

"Well, well, well," the big fatty rumbled, his voice a low, syrupy drawl that oozed over Xu Ran like warm lard. "What have we here? Another gift. Another fine young specimen, all trussed up and ready for the plucking."

He reached out one thick, calloused finger and traced it slowly down Xu Ran’s cheek, leaving a trail of greasy warmth. Xu Ran flinched or tried to, but his bound muscles only twitched uselessly.

"Another lewd man," the fatty continued, shaking his head with mock pity, "creeping through the woods with that hungry look in his eyes, thinking he can slip into some village girl’s window and satiate the lewdness in his nether regions. Tsk, tsk. You’re all the same. But you, my pretty little thing... you’re in luck."

He leaned in closer, his breath hot and foul against Xu Ran’s ear.

"I’m going to give you exactly what you want. Everything you came for. Every last drop of that filthy desire you’ve been lugging around in your loins. And I’m going to give it to you slow. Long. Over and over and over again, until you forget your own name, until you forget there ever was a world outside this little hole in the ground."

Xu Ran’s heart hammered against his ribs, a frantic drumbeat that seemed to shake his entire body.

He tried to scream into the gag, tried to thrash, tried to do anything but the bonds held firm, and the fatty only laughed, a deep, rumbling chuckle that shook his massive belly.
