Chapter 719: Chapter 719: Ethan Kingsley’s Child, It’s None of Her Business
"Why wouldn’t I dare? He defiled you, so I’ll make him pay the price," Ethan Kingsley retorted.
Ivy Tanner froze, then said in disbelief, "Are you a demon? You have a fiancée, so why are you still doing this to me? Mr. Rhodes is so innocent... Why would you do this..."
An intimidating chill filled Ethan Kingsley’s eyes, and a cruel smile graced his lips. "You’re the pet I raised. I just don’t like it when other people touch you. But since you’ve had a change of heart, I’ll make you pay the price, too."
Hearing this, Ivy Tanner instinctively tried to run, but he caught her.
He gripped her arm tightly and said in a tone that bordered on perverse, "Since you’re back, don’t even think about running away again, hmm?"
"What are you going to do?" Ivy Tanner asked nervously, her heart pounding chaotically with fear.
"You’re afraid of dying, so I’ll let you live. But if you think you’re going back to that man, it’s impossible."
"I can stop seeing him. Please, just don’t hurt him anymore—"
"Shut up!" the man barked.
Ivy Tanner flinched and quickly shut her mouth.
Ethan Kingsley’s face was dark as he said, "Don’t let me hear you mention that cripple again!"
Ivy Tanner bit her lip, not daring to respond.
Ethan Kingsley curled his lip into a cold sneer. "I’ll let you live, but you will never see any of your friends again. Not that cripple, not Claire Sinclair, not anyone."
Ivy Tanner vaguely sensed his intentions, and her heart grew more and more unsettled. "You... you’re going to imprison me?"
Ethan Kingsley smiled and shook his head. "Not imprison. You’ll live very comfortably. It’s just... you and your child will never see the child’s father again."
Ivy Tanner stared blankly at his sinister, bloodthirsty eyes and his merciless, smiling face. Her heart, already in pieces, was shattered by him all over again.
’She and her child... they would never see him again. He was even disowning his own child.’
’Why... why does my heart suddenly hurt so much...’
’I can barely breathe. My heart aches.’
’I don’t care anymore. I’m tired.’
’So tired...’
’I want to leave this place, go somewhere nobody knows me. I want to get my own name back, to start over, to be carefree. I want a life I can control myself...’
’But I’m so tired. There’s not a shred of hope left. I can’t see a future at all.’
’So tired...’
Ethan Kingsley, lost in his own fury, failed to notice that her suffering had brought her to the brink of collapse. He even added, "Of course, even if the child is mine, you’ll still be on your own. You’re not qualified to be the mother of my child."
He finished speaking, but the woman in front of him no longer had any reaction.
"Damn it!" Ethan Kingsley cursed under his breath, quickly scooping her up, opening the door, and running out.
’Stupid woman. You just dare to let something happen to you!’

Ivy Tanner woke up in a dim room. She couldn’t make out where she was, but she was certain it wasn’t a hospital. There was no smell of antiseptic.
Pushing herself up, she fumbled around for what felt like an eternity before finding the light switch and turning it on.
The room was instantly illuminated. She took in the decor—it wasn’t the style of The Golden Brocade Palace. This wasn’t The Golden Brocade Palace!
Ivy Tanner pushed herself out of bed and walked out. Just as she opened the door, she saw an old woman walking toward her, carrying a tray of food with both hands.
Ivy Tanner immediately asked, "Hello, ma’am. Where is this place?"
The old woman glanced at her but didn’t reply.
Ivy Tanner asked again, "Can you please tell me? And where’s Ethan Kingsley?"
