The once-white clouds, now a brilliant red from the sunset, were reflected in the clear water below.

Washed in the light of the setting sun, the entire river’s surface was gilded with vibrant color. The distant horizon itself looked as if it were engulfed in flames.

The woman in question, Su Yue, emerged from the private hospital feeling a wave of relief wash over her.

She had just undergone a full physical. The doctor informed her that there was absolutely nothing wrong; in fact, her health was impeccable—far better than the vast majority of people these days.

Su Yue glanced at the sky and muttered to herself, ’I’m starving! It’s getting late... too late to go home and cook. I’ll just find a restaurant nearby and grab some dinner.’

She then pulled her phone from her purse and looked up good restaurants in the area. After some consideration, she decided on a nearby beef noodle shop.

Following the navigation on her phone, Su Yue crossed the street and headed toward the restaurant.

Meanwhile, parked at the side of the road not far away, a man and a woman in a gray car watched her intently.

Zhu Daqi, the man who had been tailing Su Yue, had already gone home. The man and woman in the car were Wang Hao and Chen Xiaoyan.

"She’s finally out. Took her long enough..." Chen Xiaoyan said.

"Let’s go, we’ll follow her," Wang Hao said, watching Su Yue’s retreating figure.

"Right." Chen Xiaoyan nodded, started the car, and drove off after Su Yue.

Under the cover of night, the main roads bustled with traffic, but the more remote alleys were comparatively quiet.

The restaurant, which specialized in beef noodles, was situated in a rather secluded location. To get there, customers had to pass through a dimly lit alley.
