Chapter 193: Chapter 185: Star Speaker Among Kin

Lady Anita’s enchanting figure swayed as she ascended the stairs, her perfect curves on full display for Vili.

Bathed in the warm yellow light, Vili felt the world around him begin to blur.

"Come in."

The bedroom door opened. Lady Anita entered first, with Vili right behind her.

The room wasn’t very large, but it was filled with atmosphere.

Besides the bed, the room also held a liquor cabinet, a bookshelf, and a display rack for accessories. An oil lamp under a glass shade burned with some unknown fuel, casting a bright, warm light that created a strange sense of comfort.

"Would you like a drink?"

Lady Anita asked.

"I could have a little."

Vili replied, his eyes scanning the room.

Lady Anita personally filled two glasses with red wine and handed one to Vili.

"This tastes quite good."

Vili now knew a thing or two about this world’s wine culture, all thanks to his etiquette teacher.

They lightly clinked their glasses, then drank while holding each other’s gaze, saying nothing more.

The bedroom fell utterly silent.

"I think we can begin now."

Lady Anita took the empty glass from Vili’s hand and placed both on the table.

"Begin what?"

Vili felt he could still maintain one last shred of gentlemanly composure.

As if she could see right through him, Lady Anita pursed her lips into a faint smile. "Begin what I mentioned... I want to get to know you on a deeper level."

With that, Lady Anita first extinguished the oil lamp. Then, she walked to the window, pulling back the half-drawn curtains completely. Silvery moonlight and the vast expanse of starlight flooded the room.

Her silhouette, illuminated by the moon and stars, possessed a unique kind of beauty.

"Go sit on the bed."

As she spoke, Lady Anita untied the cord in her hair, letting it fall loose. The beauty of a mature woman was on full display.

Vili felt his heart begin to pound. It had been a long time since he’d felt this nervous.

"Close your eyes."

Lady Anita’s voice was gentle.

Vili chose to obey, waiting for Lady Anita to make the first move.

However... one second, two seconds, three... half a minute... a full minute passed...

And Lady Anita made no move.

Confused, Vili opened his eyes.

He saw Lady Anita sitting directly on the windowsill, the hem of her dress hiked up to her thighs, her entire being enveloped in moonlight and starlight.

A faint, silvery glow shone in Lady Anita’s eyes. Her hands were held up, palms facing the sky, with several specks of starlight dancing above them.

"Lady Anita, what are you doing?"

Vili was bewildered by the scene before him. This wasn’t quite what he had imagined.

"The deepest way to know a person isn’t just to learn their past, but to witness their future. Wouldn’t you agree?"

Her gaze was filled with amusement.

Vili suddenly felt awkward, as if left hanging.

’I got the wrong idea. I’ve misunderstood Lady Anita’s intentions from the very beginning. Or rather, she deliberately led me astray. The dancing, holding hands, coming home, the bedroom... it was all a charade.’

It turned out Lady Anita’s goal was to use her Ability as a Star Speaker to glimpse his hazy future.

"My lady..."

For a moment, Vili didn’t know what to say.

"Don’t you want to know what the future holds for you?"

Lady Anita gently bit her lip. "From a farmer’s son to a noble Baron with two Extraordinary Abilities, and all in just over a year... Your past fascinates me, which makes your future all the more intriguing. Please forgive the anticipation and reverence we Star Speakers have for the future. Satisfy my curiosity, and I will grant you one request."

"...Any request."

Lady Anita added.

Vili’s brow furrowed, his mind racing. "Will you see my entire future?"

’He couldn’t let anyone discover his secrets.’

"No. I can only see what you yourself wish to know."

Lady Anita replied.

Vili considered it. Lady Anita’s promise wasn’t the main draw; what truly mattered was his desire to witness the Ability of a Star Speaker.

Anything related to the future was always mysterious and alluring.

After weighing his options, Vili decided to agree to Lady Anita’s request.

Vili always had a strange curiosity about unfamiliar Extraordinary Abilities.

"Alright."

Vili nodded.

"In that case, tell me what you wish to know about your future."

Lady Anita said, "Don’t involve too many people, and don’t make it too complicated. Otherwise, with my current Ability, I won’t be able to see anything."

"Place your fingertip on that sphere of light, and then state what you want to know."

A small sphere of starlight floated from Lady Anita’s palm to hover before Vili’s eyes.

Vili thought for a moment, then gently touched the sphere with his fingertip. A faint, cool sensation spread from his finger.

"I’d like to ask... who will be my first woman?"

Vili looked directly at Lady Anita.

’This question was probably simple enough.’

"Your first woman?"

The corner of Lady Anita’s mouth twitched, as if she was about to laugh.

However, she maintained her professional integrity as a Star Speaker.

"Alright then. Let me give it a try..."

The sphere of light on Vili’s fingertip suddenly burst into motes of starlight that flew back to Lady Anita’s palm.

Lady Anita closed her eyes.

But at that moment, what appeared before her was not darkness, but brilliant daylight.
