I’m the Last Senju, and the Hokage Wants Me Dead!
Chapter 311 - 311: Ryusei Moves. Space Rewrites Itself
Ryusei hovered high above the shattered battlefield, his Tenseigan aura rippling like shifting light around his frame.
Hagoromo rose across from him, suspended effortlessly, the air bending under the gravity of his presence.
Their gazes locked, and space itself felt as if it held its breath.
For a heartbeat, nothing moved.
Because both of them were already moving on levels the world couldn't see.
Natural energy currents trembled between them.
Invisible gravitational tethers twisted.
Fragments of meteoroids drifting in the upper atmosphere responded like puppets on two competing cosmic threads.
Ryusei's physique had already been monstrous, but with the Tenseigan fully awakened, it crossed into something that barely had a trace of humanity left in it.
The Tenseigan Chakra Mode ignited first, roaring around him in a blazing mantle of turquoise flame.
It wasn't fire, but pure ocular chakra, glowing and rippling outward in violent waves, the air bending as if struggling to contain the pressure.
That flaming cloak intertwined perfectly with his Slug Sage Mode.
The translucent, ripple-like glow beneath his skin now fused with the Tenseigan aura, the faint jade light in his veins pulsing in rhythm with the churning chakra flames outside his body.
He looked half-ethereal, half-molten, as if natural energy and ocular power were burning and flowing through him at the same time.
Beneath the roaring cloak of TCM, a second layer rested—a thin skin of compressed truth-seeking orbs, molded seamlessly around him like living black lacquer.
Not visible at first glance, but present in the way the light bent when it touched him, a defensive armor that erased anything that breached the outer chakra flame.
And still beyond even that—
The Tenseigan's gravitational particles circled him in tight, invisible spirals.
Tiny distortions, like faint rings in the air, flickered with each breath he took.
They pulled at the surroundings, dragging in natural energy and folding space toward him, strengthening his every movement.
When he stepped, the ground didn't crack.
It buckled, space compressing a hair before rebounding.
When he moved, it wasn't speed alone.
He slipped through curved trajectories the eye couldn't track, as if each motion was chosen from a dozen possible warped paths.
His durability rose to the same terrifying level.
Slug Sage regeneration, TCM reinforcement, truth-seeking armor, and gravitational distortion stacked until even Hagoromo's probes bent around him.
His power now came not only from chakra or flesh.
It came from the fact that space itself bent around his body to make room for him.
Every punch carried gravitational recoil.
Every breath twisted the air.
Every shift of muscle forced reality to flex.
He wasn't simply stronger.
He was a moving distortion, radiating ocular flame and bending natural energy into submission, a being stepping into true Otsutsuki territory.
His creativity and way better chakra control ability turned the Tenseigan into something else entirely. Compared to him, what Akira or Toneri ever did with their 'Tenseigan turns' looked almost amateurish, as if they had only scratched the surface of what such eyes were truly capable of.
And Hagoromo felt it the moment he saw him. This boy had reached a level the world's laws were never meant to allow anymore.
Ryusei finished shaping his plan at this point inwardly. In truth, it was the same instinct he'd relied on since the day he arrived in this world.
Close the distance, overwhelm with physique, and end it before the enemy could adapt. Simple, but never easy.
He opened by testing the deadliest part of his new arsenal, compressing microscopic Truth-Seeking fragments and firing them with Tenseigan-sharpened gravitational pressure, a single touch meant to erase.
But Hagoromo's pull wasn't far behind his own. In some ways, it was even stronger.
Both of them commanded gravity, both bent natural energy itself when they willed it, and so the first layer of the clash became nothing but more and more of invisible pressure slamming against invisible pressure, space increasingly buckling between them in brief flashes.
Even so, if anyone here could close the gap first, it was still Ryusei. That was why he probed, why he pushed just enough.
He wanted to see what Hagoromo was hiding beyond the standard Rinnegan arsenal, beyond the raw Ōtsutsuki physique, chakra, and sage power. He wanted to see him show some of his real cards.
Seeing that nothing new came out of Hagoromo's side, that his sensory read revealed no hidden shift or deeper layer waiting to spring for now, Ryusei stopped probing. Fine. If the Sage wouldn't show his hand, he'd force it out. He then directly pushed forward with his reality-bending body first.
His highest forms of Transcendent Mirage and Gravitational Shedding also ignited at once.
Ryusei closed the distance inch by inch.
Not with a clean dash, but by grinding forward inside the crushing clash of two invisible titanic forces.
His gravitational field pushed; Hagoromo's pushed back.
Each shockwave rippled across space like two planets colliding.
And that was when Hagoromo finally moved after some time.
He couldn't allow Ryusei to move even closer uninterputed.
He had seen enough and decided to end this.
The first Pure Land technique appeared.
Not a jutsu in the normal sense.
It was a summoning of something older.
Thin, pale-white chains phased into existence around Ryusei's limbs, flickering between matter and concept.
They weren't made of chakra.
They weren't made of anything this world recognized. They were soul-bindings dragged straight from the Pure Land itself.
Hagoromo's voice carried over the collapsing sky.
"Kagulami."
The Pure Land Soul-Draining Chains.
They didn't bind the body first.
They bind the soul, and the body follows.
Ryusei felt them instantly, a coldness that tried to latch onto his chakra core, trying to drag it away into that distant realm of the dead.
It wasn't an illusion.
It wasn't chakra.
It was a metaphysical hook.
And then Hagoromo added the second layer at the same time.
The Commandment Eye opened.
His own Rinnegan's unique ability.
His dojutsu rippled, the rings turning like gears.
A law snapped into existence.
"Within one hundred steps of me… no chakra may circulate."
The world itself obeyed the rule.
Ryusei's chakra stalled for half a heartbeat, the field gripping him like invisible mud.
