I’m the Last Senju, and the Hokage Wants Me Dead!
Chapter 312 - 312: Ryusei Outpunches Destiny’s Architect
Anything else would have stopped.
Anything else would have died right there.
But Ryusei didn't stop.
His momentum bent space around him.
His body itself was a furnace of layered systems.
He forced a pulse of raw physical movement through the stagnant field and broke the law's grip with brute will.
Hagoromo's eyes narrowed.
"You resist even the world's law. A distortion… no, a contamination."
Another wave of Kagulami chains erupted outward, tens, then hundreds, trying to lock him from every angle.
Ryusei shattered the first batch with microscopic truth-seeking dust that disintegrated even anything conceptual.
He severed the second with Bright Day Dragon kicks, each strike tearing through the chains with spiraling vacuum force.
The shockwaves twisted their spiritual frequency apart, bending space-time around the links until they unraveled into nothing before they could latch onto him.
He dissolved the third with his semi-fluid slug physiology, slipping through gaps that weren't even physical.
He broke the fourth by tightening his gravitational field into a razor-thin shell around himself, bending their path aside before the chains could converge.
Yet Hagoromo kept summoning more.
The cost was invisible, but Ryusei sensed it slowly.
Every time the Sage rebuilt those chains, no chakra left the body.
No stamina drained.
What weakened was the echo of his soul.
Perfect.
Ryusei pushed again.
Transcendent Mirage blurred his outline until he split into faint overlapping silhouettes.
Gravitational Shedding made his movements weightless and unpredictable, slipping between Hagoromo's attempts to anchor him with spatial rewinds.
Still, he couldn't fully break through.
Not yet.
Hagoromo planted another law.
"Movement ceases when observed."
Reality froze around him for a moment.
Even Ryusei felt a tug, like a divine hand pushing him back into a predetermined shape.
But Ryusei had more layers than Hagoromo could track.
His particles existed slightly misaligned.
His truth-seeking armor blurred his outline.
His Tenseigan cloak bent visual logic itself.
A few of his micro-fragments remained unobserved.
Outside the law's bubble.
They drifted like dust.
Hagoromo didn't notice.
Ryusei did.
The battle dragged on for hours.
The sky cracked over and over as meteors from far above were flung down by their gravitational war.
Space warped, folded, and bent.
Ryusei held the chain with his bare hand, muscles tearing, bones splintering, yet his gaze never wavered.
His physique bent, crushed, and reformed under the impossible pressure, but his will cut cleaner than any jutsu he possessed.
Every second he survived under Hagoromo's crushing force opened a sliver of possibility, and every sliver became another angle, another trick, another workaround.
He adapted on instinct, not desperation.
Every time Hagoromo rewrote space, Ryusei rewrote himself.
Every time gravity tried to break him, he bent its axis.
Every time a Pure Land chain tried to bind him, he found a new frequency, a new particle trick, a new way to tear a soul-attack apart with nothing but sheer refusal to be stopped.
This was how he fought a god in a cage the size of the sky.
Not by being stronger.
But by being too relentless, too insightful despite the pressure, too stubborn to allow even Hagoromo's authority to dictate the end.
And each time Ryusei pushed forward, Hagoromo was forced to use Kagulami again.
To rebuild the chains.
To reassert the law.
To rewind a wound.
To reset the battlefield.
And piece by piece, the Sage's soul dimmed.
Ryusei saw the first slip.
A tiny mis-timing due to that attrition.
A fraction of a second where the Commandment Eye's law expired… before the next one was set.
The cooldown was something Ryusei didn't guess or gamble on.
He pried it open slowly, painfully, learning it second by second as he survived each rewrite of reality.
So, he didn't hesitate.
He let one Kagulami chain pierce through his shoulder on purpose, hooking into his chakra core.
Hagoromo reacted instantly, ramming pure spiritual power through the chain to freeze Ryusei in place.
Perfect.
Ryusei pushed the flow back.
Erosion Release, secretly laced with the Crimson Rite's Yin–Yang energy he had hidden from Hagoromo since the very start, threaded straight back into the chain.
That Yin–Yang corruption let his erosion bite into something even this spectral, other-dimensional construct shouldn't have been vulnerable to.
Conceptual Chinoike yin–yang, born from their religious trances and strange mutations, clashing against Hagoromo's own conceptual abnormality, the only kind of force that could take hold of it at all.
Its spiritual structure really buckled, just barely, and that tiny distortion was all he needed for his microscopic truth-seeking fragments to slip across the weakened link as well right away.
The chain vibrated violently.
Hagoromo's expression finally shifted.
And the micro-fragments Ryusei had hidden earlier?
They were already beyond the law, already slipping into the cracks Hagoromo didn't see.
They moved into his blind ribs.
Ryusei reverse-summoned them.
He appeared beside Hagoromo in a flash of warped space and Tenseigan light.
A close-range strike.
A pure, perfect, point-blank blow of overwhelming reality-bending force, truth-seeking microblades and pressure detonations, made possible only because they were fused within the Tenseigan's pinpoint gravitational targeting, all collapsing into Hagoromo's chakra pathways, brain, and heart.
For the first time in a millennium, Hagoromo felt pain.
"You kept waiting for the perfect moment," Ryusei said quietly.
"But strength was never something destiny handed out."
His fist turned once more, sinking in.
"Only will decides who stands."
"You thought divinity made you untouchable," Ryusei murmured, his voice low and controlled as the slug-like tissue of his adaptive body began dissolving the fragments of Hagoromo's powerful essence, which was also, in a sense, the leftover of Ashura's physical form as well.
"But even gods rot when someone refuses to kneel."
He felt the surge of stolen chakra burn through him, carefully portioned, slowly metabolized.
He knew exactly how dangerous Hagoromo still was, yet honestly killing him outright and wasting that impossibly rare 'resource' would've been even worse now.
So he chose the only rational middle path, taking small physical portions at a time and dissolving them from within, eroding the body piece by piece while grinding down the soul separately with his Yin–Yang power, holding it in place as if caged.
He wasn't sure when this process would have to stop, only that he'd halt the moment the intake felt too large to safely dissolve without risking contamination.
However, unlike when he had ripped through Ashura, Ryusei felt no pressure of time now.
So he kept dissolving Hagoromo without hesitation, letting more of his Shikkotsu-forged acids seep in, layer after layer, eating through what remained of Hagoromo's physique.
After all, Ryusei knew a being like this could never be trusted to stay dead unless he was erased microscopically, piece by piece, like this.
If he left even a single spiritual or physical fragment intact, or allowed any piece to linger for even a heartbeat, on its own, before dissolving or destroying it, Hagoromo might claw his way back into existence from some unseen corner of the world without warning, he felt.
So he had to press the advantage completely. He finally had this self-appointed god pinned, and he wasn't going to waste it.
Time to end this parasite, erase his meddling once and for all, and cut this world free from the strings he'd been pulling in the shadows for a thousand years, bringing true liberation.
Meanwhile, Hagoromo felt his body being carved away in controlled increments, felt the adaptive flesh consuming sections while the crimson Yin–Yang mist gnawed at the cage around his soul.
Every few seconds, another filament of essence unraveled and vanished.
He watched it all with perfect clarity, yet it felt distant to him, almost like he was observing from outside himself, a state he had grown far too accustomed to.
He understood exactly what it meant.
This wasn't a mortal killing a god.
This was something breaking the pattern altogether.
A will that had existed completely and utterly outside the cycle from the very beginning, one that could never be defeated by following the standard rules of fate or his half-measures.
That was Hagoromo's greatest mistake.
He had underestimated the depth of Ryusei's anomaly, a boy who, despite being only thirteen, at that time, already moved through the world as if he already knew every power that existed, every future motivation of every key player, every hidden thread of the world's fate.
Only now, at the moment of his true death, not the symbolic one he once experienced, did Hagoromo finally understand the scale of what he'd been facing the entire time.
He also took in Ryusei's methodical dismantling.
The way he never took too much.
The way he stopped exactly before the threshold where Hagoromo might counterattack from within.
Not greedy.
Not desperate.
Just deliberate, precise, and terrifyingly rational.
He felt another sliver collapse.
So this is the intruder from some mysterious, all-knowing elsewhere that the world itself failed to reject, Hagoromo realized.
Not a pretender to destiny.
A force born from somewhere destiny never reached.
Another section dissolved.
More of his soul burned away.
He didn't rage.
He didn't plead.
There was only the heavy clarity of someone who finally saw the flaw in everything he built.
His dissolution approached its limit.
And for a brief moment, his fading soul went perfectly still.
Then a colder thought surfaced.
If I fall, that does not mean he should rise.
Out of spite.
Out of final duty.
Out of the last spark of a god who refused to let his creation be rewritten by an outsider.
Hagoromo tore the remains of his own soul apart.
Not to revive himself.
Not to escape.
But to force a summoning contract through the Pure Land, something no living shinobi could have dreamed of attempting.
A rift opened in the spiritual fabric, fed entirely by the last of Hagoromo's essence.
He used his own destruction as the catalyst.
And with that sacrifice, with the last coherent shred of his existence, he forced one final act onto the world:
He summoned Gamamaru, the Great Toad Elder.
A being older than him.
A being who knew the prophecies Hagoromo had trusted.
A being who could intervene when Hagoromo no longer could.
As his awareness flickered out, he had only one final thought, sharp and bitter:
If I cannot stop you…
Let the one who taught me fate try.
Then Hagoromo vanished.
Gone completely.
Leaving only the summoned presence of the primordial toad behind him, and Ryusei standing in front of the last barrier the old world could throw at him.
