Chapter 524: Chapter 519: Entering the Ancient Ruins

The massive Flood Dragon’s body was sliced in half at the waist. Blood immediately gushed out like a spring, dyeing the surroundings red.

"Flee!"

From their severed heads, seven small Flood Dragons, each as thick as an arm, flew out. These were their Primordial Spirits.

"Who can escape from me? Divinity Sealing Tower, suppress!"

Ning Jiang snorted. A small tower flew from between his eyebrows. With a fierce pull from its base, an immense Power of Divine Sense, like a hurricane, latched onto the seven Primordial Spirits and sucked them inside.

’After I refine these seven Primordial Spirits, the Divinity Sealing Tower will reach an even higher level.’

Ning Jiang put away his thoughts and looked toward Gu Huaying.

Gu Huaying’s battle had also concluded. The seven Flood Dragons were all bound by thorny vines.

The vines were covered in flowers. These flowers looked beautiful, but they were incredibly dangerous, for they had pierced into the Flood Dragons’ bodies and were viciously draining their blood.

A few breaths later, all seven Flood Dragons had been reduced to dried-out corpses. Not even their Primordial Spirits escaped this fate.

’To be ranked on the Hidden Dragon List, one truly needs extraordinary methods,’ Ning Jiang thought, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"It seems you were a little faster than me."

Gu Huaying observed that Ning Jiang had finished his battle a step ahead of her.

"Let’s go. We’re heading in," Ning Jiang said.

After the battle, the two descended another hundred zhang or so. By this point, the immense water pressure pressing down on them slowed their bodies to less than one percent of their speed on land.

"We’re here. This is it."

Gu Huaying’s voice came through the water.

Following her gaze, he saw faint lights flickering in the dark depths of the sea. The lights came from White Jade Pillars, each dozens of zhang tall. The surfaces of the pillars were carved with intricate patterns, and it was these patterns that emitted a flowing radiance, dispelling much of the surrounding darkness.

"Be careful. There were supposed to be quite a few Demon Beasts entrenched here, but it looks like the Flood Dragon Clan has already cleared them out."

On the White Jade Square, there were several Demon Beast corpses, and a faint smell of blood still lingered in the seawater. This was clearly the work of the Flood Dragon Clan.

This, at least, saved Ning Jiang and Gu Huaying some trouble.

"Let’s go over."

Gu Huaying waved, and the two entered the cluster of stone pillars together.

The area covered by the pillars was vast, with no end in sight.

In this place, the light was hazy, one’s vision was constantly distorted, and even the Power of Divine Sense was severely restricted.

"This is a Maze Array. Fortunately, this Array is incomplete. Otherwise, finding the correct path wouldn’t be so easy," Gu Huaying said.

Many of these white jade stone pillars were broken and damaged. The Array’s current power was less than a tenth of what it was at its peak.

"Follow me."

Ning Jiang waved and took the lead.

"You understand Arrays?" Gu Huaying was stunned and quickly followed after Ning Jiang.

"I know a little," Ning Jiang said faintly.

Gu Huaying didn’t believe Ning Jiang would be showing off at a critical time like this, so she followed him closely. Gradually, she discovered that as Ning Jiang weaved through the White Jade Pillars, his steps never once faltered.

Sometimes he turned left, sometimes right, and sometimes he made a wide circle. With every change in direction, he was completely self-assured, as if the Array held no secrets from him.

After about the time it takes to drink a cup of tea, Gu Huaying followed Ning Jiang to the front of a group of dilapidated, ancient halls.

"You know more than just ’a little’ about Arrays!"

Looking at Ning Jiang, deep astonishment appeared in Gu Huaying’s beautiful eyes. She felt more and more that this man, Ning Jiang, was extremely mysterious.

’Even for my father, breaking this Array so easily wouldn’t be this simple, would it?’

Ning Jiang just smiled faintly and said nothing more. As a former Legendary Venerable, an Array like this was mere child’s play for him.

Before them now was a magnificent complex of halls. The complex was quite dilapidated, and surprisingly, it was situated within a massive Abyss.

Near this magnificent complex, a barrier of light could be seen, preventing the surrounding seawater from entering.

"Break."

Ning Jiang struck out with his sword, hitting the light barrier. Faint ripples appeared on the barrier’s surface, but it didn’t break.

"The power of this Array can withstand a Heaven-Reaching Realm expert at the very least. There must be another entrance. Let’s look for it," Ning Jiang said.

"Alright."

The two searched the vicinity, and after about the time it takes for an incense stick to burn, they found a bronze gate.

However, in front of this bronze gate stood rows of Bronze Armored Warriors.

On the ground, fragments of other Bronze Armored Warriors could be seen, and chaotic fluctuations of Energy could also be felt.

"It seems a battle took place here not long ago. It must have been Ao Lie and the others," Gu Huaying said.

"Let’s make our move."

Ning Jiang stepped forward. He knew full well that to enter the Ancient Ruins ahead, these Bronze Armored Warriors were a mandatory obstacle. Sure enough, the moment he entered their range, the Bronze Armored Warriors suddenly opened their eyes.

SHIIING!

One of the Bronze Armored Warriors, holding a Giant Axe, swung it straight at Ning Jiang’s face.

Ning Jiang was already prepared and didn’t panic, smashing a fist forward.

CLANG.

His fist collided with the Giant Axe, creating the sound of striking metal. The Bronze Armored Warrior was knocked back by his punch, and he himself staggered slightly.

"Comparable to the Earth Martial Realm Late Stage." Ning Jiang glanced around. By now, all the Bronze Armored Warriors had awakened—more than thirty of them.

If they were surrounded, even with their strength, it would be troublesome.

"Don’t get entangled with them. We need to break through quickly," Ning Jiang said.

"Right," Gu Huaying replied.

ROAR!

A Dragon’s Roar resounded from Ning Jiang’s fist. He activated his Thunder Dragon Fist, and Thunderbolt energy condensed, forming a massive Thunder Dragon that blasted forward.

Before such overwhelming Fist Power, the Bronze Armored Warriors couldn’t resist. Their bodies were blown apart, shattering into countless fragments.

Although these Bronze Armored Warriors were comparable to the Earth Martial Realm Late Stage, they were still much weaker than actual Martial Artists. For one, they lacked flexibility. For another, they had no intelligence and could only charge forward recklessly.

"Get out of the way!" ℯℯ𝑙.

Gu Huaying shouted delicately. When she attacked, illusory flowers bloomed all around her. The Bronze Armored Warriors’ attacks landed on the flowers and were immediately deflected by a Soft Force.

The principle of using softness to overcome hardness was perfectly exemplified by her.

After all, the two were prodigies on the Hidden Dragon List. In the entire East Sea, only a dozen or so people could compare to them. Going all out, breaking through these Bronze Armored Warriors was naturally not a problem. In less than ten breaths, they had charged to the front of the bronze gate.

The moment they stepped within range of the bronze gate, the Bronze Armored Warriors seemed to sense something and slowly ceased their movements.

"We should be able to get in here."

Ning Jiang placed his hands on the bronze gate. With a push of his arms, the bronze gate emitted a low, heavy groan as it was slowly pushed open.
