Chapter 598 -593: A Clean Sweep

Not enough!

The two words boomed like thunder, rolling through the void for all to hear.

Countless people’s eyes widened in disbelief.

“Hahahahaha! Ning Jiang, you truly are arrogant! Facing our army of over ten thousand, you still dare to spout such insolence. Do you really think you’re invincible? That you can fight ten thousand men alone? You’re courting death!”

The leader roared.

This army of over ten thousand strong was composed of more than a thousand cultivators at the Earth Martial Realm Peak and over three thousand at the Earth Martial Realm Late Stage. The weakest among the rest were all at the Earth Martial Realm Middle Stage.

Such a lineup could only have been formed by gathering the top experts from all the major Demon Races in the Chaos Alliance.

A force like this was enough to sweep away everything. Even the Ten Great Earth Martial Realms, combined with the top prodigies of the Hidden Dragon List, would be no match for them.

After all, their individual attacks might not be strong, but with over ten thousand of them combined, even a Heaven-Reaching Realm expert would have to flee.

This was a perfect example of how a swarm of ants could bring down an elephant.

“I can’t believe the Chaos Alliance sent such a massive army just to deal with Ning Jiang.”

“I think the Chaos Alliance is making such a grand display to show off its strength. Ning Jiang is in grave danger this time.”

“Indeed. In the end, Ning Jiang is only one person. Even if he’s supremely powerful, he can’t possibly hold off an army of ten thousand. I’m afraid this doesn’t look good for him.”

The crowd of Martial Artists murmured amongst themselves.

Even from a great distance, they could feel an immense pressure from the army. Those who stood closer felt as if they were suffocating.

“I said, not enough!”

Ning Jiang slowly rose from the corner of the tower. He stepped onto the void, ascending into the sky step by step. “Whether or not I can fight ten thousand men at once is something I’ll let you experience firsthand—with your own blood!”

“Enough talk! Everyone, attack! Kill him!”

The leader completely ignored Ning Jiang’s words. At his command, the army behind him instantly charged forward, a tide of bodies that blotted out the sky.

It was a shocking, unforgettable scene.

The many Martial Artists watching felt as if their hearts were about to stop.

No matter how one looked at it, this was a battle with no chance of victory.

One side had ten thousand Martial Artists; the other had only one. The disparity in numbers was enough to drive one to despair.

In their eyes, Ning Jiang’s actions were no different from a praying mantis trying to stop a chariot—a hopelessly futile gesture.

WHOOSH!

A great gust of wind billowed, causing Ning Jiang’s robes and hair to whip about. He stood ramrod straight, like a sword planted in the void. There wasn’t the slightest trace of fear in his eyes.

“Hahahahaha! A mob of useless curs! What good will more of you do? Today, I will show you the meaning of invincible!” Ning Jiang roared with laughter, his eyes filled with the indomitable aura of one who looks down upon the entire world.

‘Thirty-Six Heavenly Gang Sword Formation, activate.’

SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH SWISH…

Thirty-six small, azure swords shot out first, flying toward the army.

Immediately after, Ning Jiang let out a long cry. Blazing Thunderbolt erupted from his body. He rode the lightning, his speed incomparable. With a single stride, he appeared before the army’s leader in an instant.

“Your blood will serve as the prelude to this slaughter!”

With a slash of his hand, the man’s head flew high into the air.

“Kill!”

But this first casualty did not frighten the Demon Race army. Instead, it ignited the ferocity in their very bones, and they scrambled over one another to get to Ning Jiang.

‘Just a hastily assembled army, a disorganized rabble. And they dare to challenge me?’

A contemptuous sneer touched Ning Jiang’s lips. He drew his Thunder Dragon Sword, and with a single slash of a massive Sword Aura, dozens of Demon Race Martial Artists were annihilated.

Immediately, he rode the Thunderbolt, becoming Man and Sword as One. He transformed into a Heaven-Reaching Sword Aura and charged forward.

RIIIIP!

His charge cut a swath a thousand zhang long. Within that distance, any Demon Race Martial Artist he touched was as fragile as tofu, their body instantly sliced in two.

In that single move, several hundred Martial Artists fell.

“Don’t get close to him! Attack from a distance!” someone roared.

Immediately, a barrage of multi-colored attacks flew in from all directions, sealing every inch of space around Ning Jiang and leaving him no room to escape.

This was the combined attack of several hundred people. Even a Heaven-Reaching Realm expert would have to evade such a blow for the time being.

“This attack will be the end of you. Let’s see you dodge this,” someone sneered.

“Dodge?” Ning Jiang scoffed. “With this meager amount of power, why would I need to dodge? Great Mixed Cave Technique!”

BOOM!

A massive black hole appeared, swallowing all of their attacks. The Great Mixed Cave Technique was a Technique for absorbing and countering attacks. Of course, its absorption capacity wasn’t infinite, and the combined assault of several hundred people was just about its limit.

“Take your attacks back.”

Under Ning Jiang’s control, all the devoured attacks erupted forth once more. He redirected the energy, which had come from all directions, and unleashed it in a single, concentrated blast.

“AHHH!”

Amidst the screams, blood rained from the sky as several hundred more Martial Artists fell to this single blow.

Meanwhile, the Thirty-Six Heavenly Gang Sword Formation acted like the Grim Reaper’s scythe, swiftly reaping one life after another. Wherever it passed, the Martial Artists were powerless to resist and were killed in an instant.

“So fast… A thousand have already fallen.”

The spectating Martial Artists cried out in alarm. In the span of a dozen breaths, Ning Jiang had already slain over a thousand Earth Martial Realm experts. Bodies rained from the sky, plunging into the sea below.

“Fighting at such high intensity… surely Ning Jiang can’t keep this up for long? After all, the Spiritual Qi in one’s body is finite, not endless,” the spectators discussed.

But Ning Jiang seemed to be just hitting his stride.

His body, shrouded in Sword Qi, transformed into a great white rainbow. He carved a path through the army seven times, felling another thousand men.

Despite so many deaths, Ning Jiang remained completely unscathed. What was even more terrifying was that his aura was perfectly stable, as if he had expended no energy at all.

“Don’t be afraid! The brat can’t last much longer! Whoever takes his head will be handsomely rewarded when we return!” someone roared, trying to bolster his own courage.

But in the next moment, his body was sliced in half, dead beyond a doubt.

‘Three thousand.’

Soon after, the number of people who had fallen at Ning Jiang’s hands reached three thousand! It was a staggering figure. Nearly a third of the ten-thousand-strong army had been annihilated by him.

One man stood against ten thousand, and none could pass!

The spectating Martial Artists were utterly dumbfounded, their scalps tingling with shock.

“This Ning Jiang… just what kind of monster is he?”

‘Some army. They’re too weak, a far cry from the Demon Race,’ Ning Jiang murmured.

This Chaos Alliance army was merely a mob, cobbled together at the last minute. They lacked any formal training and had nothing but numbers.

The armies of the Demon Race from a hundred thousand years ago, now *they* were truly terrifying. They could form Arrays to concentrate their Power. Only an army like that could ever pose a threat to him.

In his eyes, this Chaos Alliance army was nothing more than a joke.
