In This Rebirth, The Male Lead Is Mine [BL]
Chapter 270: Kill You (1)
For quite a long time, Rise dreaded Epsilon’s existence. He acknowledged that he was his bane. This did not change even when he found out that they were not actually inside a book with a clear plot.
The title of Epsilon’s identity only changed.
Looking at him now, the dread had lessened a lot. However...
Rise’s lips twitched slightly before forming into a malicious grin. Seriously, he absolutely abhorred his existence. It was as though it had been carved through his soul to hate Epsilon.
Their enmity through countless resets, despite being forgotten, must have been so deep that even knowing the truth of the matter could not stop them from killing each other.
Right. Rise wanted to kill Epsilon all the more.
"Let’s test your halo if it’s still effective, Epsilon," Rise’s voice, filled with killing intent, reverberated between them, followed by the oppressive atmosphere he released.
Rise’s ability was fully unleashed without holding back! The few metres around them became a no-man’s land; anything that would be crushed had already disintegrated into ruins.
Epsilon’s face changed. His mana quickly gathered to protect himself, barely standing. His teeth gritted, glaring towards Rise.
He had no choice but to put up a fight. In a confrontation, Epsilon seemed weaker, but he was a child of destiny for a reason. He quickly calmed down, and the rage inside his heart burned fiercely.
"I’d like to see you try." Epsilon, trying to put on a brave front, directly faced Rise’s hostility.
Rise laughed, and the fighting instinct within him was awakened in an instant.
His hands spread as he laughed, the intensity of the force field increased. The ground sank a few centimetres lower, trying to accommodate his weight.
"I’m not trying, Epsilon. This time, I will kill you."
With a smile on his lips but a vicious glint in his eyes, Rise’s body flickered, and soon he was already in front of Epsilon. Epsilon was startled by the speed, but he had managed to react in time before Rise’s punch made contact with his face.
His body, without a thought escaping the proximity of the punch. Epsilon’s face stung, having been grazed by the punch as it swelled. Yet, he did not have time to scrutinize the damage on his body or think about any countermeasures.
Rise was already in front of him again. His movements seemed slow in Epsilon’s eyes, but they were actually quite fast, and his offense was filled with force.
The only thing Epsilon could do was dodge and continue to escape. The humiliation once again gnawed inside his gut. Epsilon had only one thing in his mind. And that was to skin Rise alive for putting him in this situation.
Rise’s laughter resounded gratingly in Epsilon’s ears and even his pride.
"Is that all you can do? Run?"
While they had never left the vicinity of the mansion, the damage had already reached the other side. There was no one else other than them, it was as though even with instincts, everyone avoided the place.
"Fuck you! Ahhh Rise, I’ll kill you!"
Rise laughed maliciously.
"Come on, let’s kill each other, bitch! Don’t run."
He felt so great. Rise was completely in his game right now and had never felt better. He was not even frustrated that Epsilon managed to dodge him for so long.
After all, he was still a child of destiny. And if he defeated him immediately, it would be so boring. Just seeing that bloodied face and the desperation on it was already so entertaining.
Rise hoped it would last longer.
"Don’t die on me so quickly, Epsilon." Rise’s voice was calm despite his smirk. His punch once again missed by a hair’s breadth, causing his smile to widen.
It was because he could feel a barrier of sorts. Just when he could make contact with Epsilon, his body seemed to dodge instinctively.
"I knew it would not be so easy. Fine. Let’s play more intensely!" Rise shouted with excitement in his eyes.
Epsilon, whose condition was not so good, was not enjoying this situation in the slightest. With his chest heaving, and using all his power just to stand, he glared at Rise.
He knew... He could dodge not just because of his ability. Epsilon hated Rise so much that his body began to tremble from extreme hatred in his soul.
"Don’t underestimate me!"
Epsilon’s voice rose another octave, making Rise pause his offense. His eyes swept around as the debris of his destruction rose behind Epsilon.
The aura of the other party also changed. At Epsilon’s rage, most of his potential was also tapped, letting him manipulate everything around him despite the pressure of the forcefield Rise laid upon.
"The one who’ll die is you... thief."
Rise’s eyes flickered at the term, but this did not diminish his excitement. He stood upright and smiled provocatively at Epsilon.
"Try not to run first, bitch."
Rise cackled, and soon his body already flashed before Epsilon, who was more than ready to receive him in head-on combat this time.
"Rise! Die!"
"Hahaha!"
The two faced each other ferociously with their lives on the line.
Before the conclusion between them, the other side, Kamille, had already connected with the core of the world’s consciousness. The moment that he managed to do so, the world will have already sensed it.
Kamille was not surprised by the sudden restriction on him. Presumably, the pressure on Rise’s side had also lessened by the departure of the world will. It did not matter that he was the one who needed to take the brunt of its attention.
In this space, which was only darkness, Kamille could not even see his own body. It was as though he was in a void where nothing seemed to exist. Even his consciousness might be obliterated if he stayed for too long.
Another kind of rejection was laced upon him, Kamille could not even move where he was. He could only let his mind wander and anchor his consciousness firmly where he was.
A few seconds later or minutes later, Kamille’s perception of time also began to weaken. He had truly arrived at a place where even the concept of time was fragmented enough to not be perceived.
It was a kind that made one forget oneself. However, Kamille was no ordinary person. His self-perception was stronger, and this much was not enough to forget himself.
He was not in a hurry either. While the concept of time seemed nonexistent, it was only in this place. Moreover, he trusted his partner to bide the time for him.
Kamille waited for that opportunity to showcase his ability. This was different from subduing and refining that world consciousness last time.
It was probably because of its completeness, or more because of its peculiarity. It was a world consciousness that managed to have its will awakened to self-awareness for some reason.
Time seemed to tick by and only flowed without reason. Sometime later, Kamille finally sensed a change.
It started with just glitches or static until he fully understood the whisper that suddenly murmured in his ears.
[Why...]
[I want to kill you...]
The pause each time was grating to his ears, but Kamille endured it. It was the same familiar voice of a woman, but at the same time that of a man. Seemingly, unable to determine its gender.
[Give it to me... will you?]
[Please...]
[I want to be like you.]
