Chapter 159: The Whole World is Shaken, Hidden Monsters Awaken and the Abyssal Sovereign

  • Next Chapter

While Yu Liang was completely immersed in the miraculous construction of his Soul Palace inside the cultivation room, not knowing that the outside world was experiencing an unprecedented earthquake of shock.

The shower of golden lotuses and the ethereal sounds of the Heavenly Dao had not just shaken the old monsters but also attracted many know figures.

At the centre of the continent, stands the Heavenly Origin Sword Sect, the strongest orthodox faction on the continent.

On one it’s mountain peak that seems to pierce the heavens, surrounded by an ocean of clouds and the sharp, sword intent filled winds that would instantly shred ordinary cultivators to pieces. At the very top of this peak was a simple, thatched roof pavilion.

Standing at the edge of the pavilion was the Sect Patriarch, Sword Venerable Qingyun.

He looked incredibly ordinary. He was wearing a simple white robe that fluttered gently in the wind. His hair was like a silver waterfall cascading down his back, and his face was completely devoid of wrinkles, looking like a gentle, mortal scholar in his thirties.

If one didn’t know his identity, they would never guess that this seemingly harmless man was the absolute peak of the cultivation world, a half step into the legendary Divine Lord Realm.

But it was his eyes that revealed his true, terrifying nature.

When Sword Venerable Qingyun opened his eyes, there was only a profound, unfathomable depth. Within his pupils, one could see the profound meaning of the Sword Dao.

He had once drawn his sword to sever the flowing River in his youth and cut a rift in the void that lasted for three days. His eyes contained the very essence of severing, if where to transform this essence into a law then this ability will be able to cut through karma, illusion, and even the laws of the heavens.

Currently, those profound eyes were staring intently at the distant horizon, where the golden lotuses were still faintly visible in his vision.

"Origin Realm... comprehended at the Peak Stage of Foundation Establishment?" Sword Venerable Qingyun muttered, his voice was slightly hoarse. "The Heavens have truly given birth to a monstrous genius. Comprehending a technique to the Origin Realm... this.... Geniuse’s future is absolutely limitless."

Yet, even after sacrificing a hundred years of his lifespan, this was all Sword Venerable Qingyun could see. If he attempted to peer directly at the person behind this phenomenon, he might not even be able to withstand the backlash.

A complex light flashed in his profound eyes. There was no jealousy, only a deep, burning excitement and a trace of solemnity. To witness such a genius rising in their era was the fortune of the entire human domain.

He slowly raised his hand, gently stroking his long beard. The corners of his mouth curled up into a gentle, yet undeniably domineering smile.

"It’s time to meet that person," Sword Venerable Qingyun said softly.

With a step the space around him folded. In the blink of an eye, the sect leader of top tier sect vanished from the peak, heading straight towards a very peculiar place.

Thousands of miles away, in the boundless and savage Wilderness of Ten Thousand Tribes.

This was a forbidden land for human cultivators. Very big towering trees that blocked out the sun, massive beasts with blood red eyes roamed the area and the air was thick with the scent of blood and primal savagery.

Deep within the core of the Ten Thousand Beast Mountain Range, at the apex of this wilderness, stood the ancestral nest of the Primordial True Dragon Clan.

Inside a grand cave fully made with the skulls of ancient divine beasts, the Beastkin Family Leader, Patriarch Ao Huang, was sitting cross legged. He was in human form, with a tall, muscular build with skin containing scales all over with a pair of small, glittering golden dragon horns on his forehead.

Suddenly, Ao Huang’s eyes snapped open. Two beams of golden light shot out, instantly melting the solid rock walls on either side of him.

"The Heavens are showering golden lotuses... The Dao is resonating!" Ao Huang’s voice was like thunder rolling in the sky, shaking the entire cave. "Someone in the human domain has touched the Mythical Origin Realm! And the aura is so weak, barely at the Foundation Establishment stage."

He stood up and with just his imposing aura, he caused the entire mountain range to tremble. Outside the cave, countless terrifying, High Tier divine beasts prostrated themselves on the ground, not even daring to breathe loudly.

Several elders of the True Dragon Clan quickly flew in, their faces filled with shock and excitement. "Patriarch! The heavenly phenomenon... could it be the curse of the ancient era is loosening?"

Ao Huang’s eyes flashed with a fierce, tyrannical light. He looked at his subordinates and gave a deep, commanding order.

"Pass down my orders," Ao Huang’s voice echoed with absolute authority. "All branch families must immediately consolidate their territories. The hidden old monsters in the deep forest must be awakened. Prepare to awaken the clan’s supreme spiritual treasure at any time. The great shift in the era is about to begin."

"Yes, Patriarch!" the elders shouted in unison, their blood boiling with excitement.

Ao Huang nodded, his gaze turning towards the human domain. His figure suddenly dissolved into countless golden light particles. As his voice echoed in the cave, he had already vanished from the spot.

"It’s about time."

Far, far away, beyond the borders of the human domain and the wilderness, lay a place of absolute despair and terror.

The Void Sea.

This was not a sea of water, but a chaotic ocean of spatial tears and chaotic energy. The sky here was permanently dark, torn apart by purple lightning that never stopped flashing. Massive, floating islands of black rock drifted aimlessly, colliding and exploding into dust. It was a place where even space itself was broken and twisted.

Suspended in the very center of this chaotic Void Sea was the Abyssal Sovereign Domain.

In that domain there was a grand, unimaginably massive palace constructed entirely from black skulls and the bones of ancient nameless beasts. The palace emitted a suffocating, sinister aura that made the chaotic spatial tears around it instinctively avoid it.

Blood red banners were hung from the towering columns, fluttering with the help of ghostly winds.

Inside the deepest part of the most grand hall of the palace, the ruler of this domain, the Abyssal Sovereign, was reclining on a throne made entirely of crystallized souls.

This man was the embodiment of evil itself. He was wearing robes made from shadows, and his face was hidden behind a dark, misty veil. It was said that a thousand years ago, to forge his supreme artifact, the Netherworld Blood Soul Flag, he had personally descended upon the various mortal kingdoms. In a single night, he refined three billion living souls into a sea of blood, turning entire many massive kingdoms into desolate wastelands of ashed and bone.

His vicious feats were enough to make the mortals weep and the cultivators to curse.

Currently, the Abyssal Sovereign was lazily playing with a glowing, screaming soul orb in his hand. Below his throne, several Shadow Elders, cloaked in darkness, were kneeling on the ground, their bodies trembling slightly from his oppressive aura.

"My Lord," one of the Shadow Elders spoke, his voice was like grinding stones. "The heavenly phenomenon is confirmed to be in the human domain... the golden lotuses and the ethereal sounds were transmitted all over. Our Elders also confirmed that it happened because someone attended the ’Origin Realm’."

There was awe in his voice when he uttered those words.

The Abyssal Sovereign stopped playing with the soul orb. The hall instantly fell into a deathly silence.

"The Origin Realm?" The Sovereign’s voice was chilling, echoing from everywhere and nowhere at once. "In the human domain? At this current era? How amusing. The righteous path actually produced a freak who can comprehend the Origin Realm."

"My Lord, should we ignore it?" another elder asked cautiously. "The human domain has many old monsters. If we intervene, it might provoke the continental war."

"Ignore it?" The Abyssal Sovereign let out a cold, mocking snort. "If a sprout is allowed to grow, it will eventually become a towering tree that blocks the sun. The Origin Realm genius... if this person is allowed to grow, once he reaches the later realms, he will be a massive threat to our Abyssal Domain. He might even be the one to lead the human domain to launch a crusade against the Void Sea."

The Sovereign sat up straight, the shadows around him writhed like venomous snakes.

"We cannot let a potential supreme overlord grow in peace," the Abyssal Sovereign said something only his subordinates could understand. "The ’Special Seed’ in the Eastern Soil has unexpectedly sprouted. It is blooming too fast."

"The soil there is too fertile, My Lord. But the ’gardeners’ are watching it closely," a Shadow Elder replied in the same tone.

"Then we will not use hoes to dig it up," the Abyssal Sovereign sneered, his eyes flashing with a sinister red light behind his veil. "We will send the ’Autumn Frost Wind’. Let the mosquitoes mix into the harvest festival. We must pluck the unripe fruits and extract its essence before it takes root. If the gardeners interfere... then we will just have to poison the entire garden."

"Hehehe... My Lord’s wisdom is boundless. The Autumn Frost Wind is already preparing its ’scythe’." The Shadow Elders bowed their heads deeply.

"Hahahahaha! Good! Very good!"

The Abyssal Sovereign threw his head back and let out a sinister laugh. The laughter echoed throughout the grand hall, mixing with the screams of the souls in the walls, created a symphony of pure, unadulterated malice that made even the creatures in the Void Sea outside tremble in fear.
