Chapter 507: Chapter 507: Wraith Titanboa

Seeing the spiders’ weakness, Seraphina immediately thought of Tubbs.

Although Tubbs the Flame Chicken was obsessed with Chubbs, a single blast of fire from it would be more than enough to incinerate these spiders.

Besides, after being affected by Demonization, Tubbs’s impulse to burn everything could be put to good use against these spiders. It was a perfect win-win.

She was just about to contact the Scavenger’s Farm to summon Tubbs.

But in that instant—

A deathly chill suddenly descended from above!

It was the instinctual terror of being targeted by a natural predator, like standing naked in a frozen wasteland or being watched from on high by some incomprehensible entity.

Seraphina’s movements froze.

She slowly raised her head.

And her pupils contracted violently.

Above, on the roof of an abandoned apartment building, a gigantic snake’s head was peering over the edge, gazing down at the street below.

Its head was as large as a truck.

Its two eyes glowed like red lanterns, casting an eerie, cold light in the gloom.

Its vertical pupils, like abysses, were locked onto them.

Or rather, locked onto the swarm of spiders on the street.

No, it wasn’t just staring.

That gaze held the hunger of a hunter that had just spotted its prey.

Seraphina’s breath hitched.

The Eye of Resume activated again.

[Name: Wraith Titanboa]

[Gender: Female]

[Professional Skills and Talents]

Scaled Armor: Its entire body is covered in incredibly hard scales, providing extremely powerful defense. Ordinary attacks can barely scratch it.

Death Coil: Once ensnared in its coils, escape is impossible. Its constricting power can easily crush steel.

Absolute Digestion: Can rapidly digest any opponent swallowed into its stomach.

Poisonous Fang: Poisonous Teeth

[Weaknesses]

Due to its immense size and powerful scaled armor, external attacks are almost completely ineffective.

Only attacks from inside its mouth or body can inflict substantial damage.

After reading the information, Seraphina was speechless for a moment.

’Wraith Titanboa.’

’That name, combined with its size, is just absurd.’

’The snake’s head alone is the size of a truck. How long is the rest of its body, coiled on top of that building?’

’Fifty meters?’

’A hundred meters?’

’Or even longer?’

Crystal Lynn was too terrified to speak, her face deathly pale. Beau, cradled in her arms, had frozen solid. The little White Jade Snake hung from her arm like a limp noodle, its pupils dilated. It was obviously scared out of its wits.

Flora Sullivan tilted her head back, gazed at the giant snake, and suddenly exclaimed in awe,

"My God... It’s huge..."

Crystal Lynn struggled to turn her neck and look at Flora, her eyes wide with disbelief.

’Are you kidding me? How can you be impressed by that right now?!’

But Flora truly was impressed.

Being plant-based, she didn’t have the same instinctual fear of large animals.

In her eyes, the giant snake was like a mobile tree—just... a much more dangerous one.

Seraphina was already prepared to fight.

Her Magic Scissors materialized in one hand while her other rested on the entrance to the Scavenger’s Farm, ready to summon Tubbs and her other allies at a moment’s notice.

’The giant snake’s weakness is an internal attack, but its Absolute Digestion talent is also formidable.’

’Still, if it comes to a fight, I’m not completely helpless.’

Just as Seraphina was contemplating how to deal with the titanboa, it moved.

But not toward them.

The enormous snake head slowly descended, reaching for the swarm of spiders on the street.

Its cavernous maw gaped open, revealing an abyss-like throat lined with two rows of sinister, Curved Saber-like Poisonous Teeth.

The next second.

Like a black bolt of lightning, the titanboa lunged at the spider swarm!

The Necrotic Black Spiders didn’t even have time to react as dozens of them were swallowed in one gulp!

"CRUNCH—CRUNCH—CRUNCH—"

The sound of chewing was as crisp as someone biting into nuts.

The corrosive black smoke billowing from the spiders’ bodies surged wildly, attempting to eat away at the titanboa’s mouth. But some special power seemed to protect it from within, rendering the black smoke completely harmless.

Instead, the titanboa’s venom injected into the spiders dissolved them into a nutritious liquid, which it swallowed with a single GULP.

Nice and crunchy.

Seraphina: "..."

Crystal Lynn: "..."

Flora blinked. "Is it... having a snack?"

As if it had heard her, the titanboa’s enormous head turned toward them. Its red, lantern-like eyes swept over them for a moment before it turned back to its "nice and crunchy" meal of spiders.

The look in its eyes clearly said, ’You’re too scrawny. Not interested.’

Seraphina silently took a step back.

She understood.

’In the eyes of this titanboa, the three of us wouldn’t even be enough to get stuck in its teeth.’

’The spiders might be small, but there are a lot of them. Dozens in one bite. Crunchy. Tastes like chicken.’

"Let’s go," Seraphina whispered, leading Crystal Lynn and Flora in a slow retreat.

The three of them slipped silently into an alley and didn’t dare to catch their breath until the giant titanboa was completely out of sight.

Crystal Lynn’s legs had gone soft; she had to lean against the wall to keep from collapsing. "S-Sullivan... what kind of monster was that...?"

Seraphina shook her head, saying nothing.

The image of the titanboa was still seared into her mind.

’This world is even more dangerous than I imagined.’

But at the same time, she realized something—

in this food chain, the Demonic Creatures were also preying on each other.

Humans were not necessarily their only targets.

Without hesitation, Seraphina grabbed Crystal Lynn and hurried out of the alley.

Behind them, the "crunchy" sound of the titanboa devouring the spiders faded into the distance, but the terrifying sense of pressure still weighed on their hearts.

They twisted and turned through several abandoned streets, not stopping to catch their breath until they could no longer feel that deadly gaze on them.

"Oh my God..." Crystal Lynn gasped, leaning on her knees, her face ashen. "This Demonization dungeon... it’s terrifying! Those spiders, that giant snake, and the plants that can attack at any moment... I feel like I could die at any second!"

Seraphina was also breathing heavily. She scanned their surroundings, and once she confirmed they were temporarily safe, she said softly, "The difficulty of this dungeon is definitely higher than expected."

"I wonder how many people will be dead by the time we get back."

Crystal Lynn froze for a moment, her expression turning grim.

She remembered the first dungeon she entered after becoming a Player.

Back then, she hadn’t understood anything. She just ran, followed others, and watched as people around her fell one by one. Fear and helplessness had overwhelmed her like a tidal wave.

It was only after meeting Seraphina, Dexter Luther, and the others that she slowly learned how to survive in this brutal world.

But now, that feeling was back.

The fear of dying at any moment.

"Come on," Seraphina said, patting her on the shoulder. "Don’t overthink it. Staying alive is what matters most."

Crystal Lynn nodded firmly and took a deep breath to steady herself.

Seraphina took out the Three Realms Compass again to check her teammates’ locations.

Then her brow furrowed.

"Huh?"

"What is it, Sullivan?" Crystal Lynn asked, leaning closer.
