Infinite Disasters: I Hoarded My Way to Godhood
Chapter 522: Everyone Doing Their Part, Forming a Team
Chapter 522: Chapter 522: Everyone Doing Their Part, Forming a Team
In the days that followed, Seraphina Sullivan and her teammates began to devote all their efforts to helping the Native People.
Seraphina Sullivan put her Nurse Profession to work.
Her Medical Bandages and Soothing abilities, in a world lacking doctors and medicine, were nothing short of divine skills.
Those who had been scratched and bitten by Demonic Creatures, those who had fallen ill from long-term malnutrition, and the children who had been mentally traumatized—all of them recovered one by one under Seraphina Sullivan’s care.
"Thank you, big sister..." a seven or eight-year-old girl whispered timidly, tugging on her sleeve. Seraphina’s Medical Soothing had calmed the terror from her nightmares. "You’re amazing, big sister..."
Seraphina Sullivan crouched down and patted her on the head.
"Live a good life," she said softly.
Sean Chandler took Seraphina Sullivan’s Three Realms Compass and left the settlement.
He was going to find Dexter Luther and the others.
The Compass showed that Dexter Luther and Matthew Dawson were in another direction, not too far away.
If he could bring them back, the team’s Power would increase considerably.
Before he left, Seraphina Sullivan said only one thing to him:
"Come back alive."
Sean Chandler nodded, then turned and vanished into the edge of the Demonic Forest.
Flora Sullivan became the most popular person in the settlement.
Her Plant Growth Wand couldn’t compare to Rosa’s Demon God’s Pillar, but when it came to agriculture, it was a bona fide Divine Artifact.
Under the power of her wand, tender green shoots rapidly sprouted from the once-barren soil.
This wasn’t Demonized vegetation, but edible food.
Crops that would normally take months to mature now achieved Flowering and Fruit Formation in just a few days.
The Native People gathered around the fields, staring dumbfounded at the wildly growing crops.
"Is... is this a miracle?"
"With all this food, we won’t have to starve anymore!"
"Miss Flora, were you sent by the heavens to save us?"
Surrounded by them, Flora Sullivan showed a rare hint of a smile.
"Don’t push, don’t push, take it easy," she said. "There’s plenty of food. Everyone will get to eat their fill."
Crystal Lynn wasn’t idle, either.
She patrolled the settlement with Beau every day. Any Demonic Creatures hiding in the shadows, any potential threats to the Native People, were eliminated one by one by her and Beau.
In this world, Beau’s Petrification Tooth was the perfect counter to Demonic Creatures.
With a single bite, even the most ferocious monster would turn into a stone statue.
The Native People’s gazes toward the White Jade Snake transformed from initial fear into their current reverence.
"Miss Lynn, your Beau is incredible!"
"With Beau around, we can finally get a peaceful night’s sleep!"
Crystal Lynn stroked Beau’s head, a smile on her face.
But she also knew in her heart, ’This is just the beginning.’
’The real battle is yet to come.’
During this time, life in the settlement gradually returned to normal.
Seraphina Sullivan was busy every day treating the villagers afflicted by Demonization.
Her Nurse Profession seemed tailor-made for this instance.
Medical Bandages could treat external wounds, while Medical Soothing could directly dispel the Demonization Factors within a person’s body.
At first, she worried her Ability wasn’t strong enough, but as more and more villagers regained their clarity under her Medical Soothing, she became increasingly certain. ’I chose the right Profession.’
Meanwhile, Sean Chandler was also keeping busy.
He took Seraphina Sullivan’s Three Realms Compass and scoured the Demonic Forest for any trace of Dexter Luther and Matthew Dawson.
But the forest was too vast and filled with too many monsters, making the search far more difficult than he had imagined.
However, Sean Chandler wasn’t the type to give up easily.
While searching for his teammates, he also met quite a few other Players along the way.
Some of these Players were acting alone, while others had already formed temporary squads.
Like Sean Chandler, they were all rushing to complete their missions, struggling to survive in this dangerous world.
Sean Chandler wasn’t a man of many words, but his strength spoke for itself.
After they joined forces to deal with Demonic Creatures a few times, the other Players began to see him in a new light.
"Bro, what are you doing wandering around this forest all by yourself?" someone asked.
"Looking for my companions," Sean Chandler replied curtly.
"Found them yet?"
"No."
"Well, why not team up with us for now? There’s strength in numbers, right?"
Sean Chandler thought for a moment and didn’t refuse.
And so, a small group of Players gradually gathered around him.
One day, at the edge of the forest, Sean Chandler encountered a familiar figure.
Brandon Barton.
The man he had crossed paths with in a previous instance was now leaning against a tree trunk, resting all alone.
His clothes were torn in several places and his face showed clear signs of exhaustion, but his eyes were still sharp.
Seeing Sean Chandler, Brandon Barton froze for a second, then a wry smile appeared on his face.
"Sean Chandler? Didn’t expect to run into you here."
Sean Chandler walked over, his gaze sweeping past Brandon Barton. "Where are your teammates?"
Brandon Barton’s smile froze for a moment. Then he shook his head, a hint of bitterness in his voice. "We got separated after entering this instance."
Sean Chandler was silent.
"We were scattered during the Demonic Tide," Brandon Barton said, his voice low. "Heath Summers and Vincent Sharp... I don’t know where they are now."
Sean Chandler patted his shoulder but said nothing.
Sometimes, words weren’t necessary.
Brandon Barton took a deep breath, forcing himself to pull it together. "What about you? Where are Seraphina Sullivan and the others?"
"In a safe settlement," Sean Chandler said. "Coming with me?"
Brandon Barton looked at him, was silent for a few seconds, then nodded.
"Okay."
And just like that, Brandon Barton joined Sean Chandler’s group.
Although he had lost his teammates, he was quite strong himself.
With him on board, the team’s Power grew even stronger.
Sean Chandler continued to lead the group through the forest, searching for Dexter Luther and Matthew Dawson while also recruiting the Players they encountered one by one.
He had become a veritable "master diplomat."
Though he himself probably wouldn’t see it that way.

「Meanwhile, in the settlement.」
Seraphina Sullivan was using Medical Soothing on a villager who had gone berserk.
The villager was a middle-aged man in his forties. He had been perfectly fine two days ago, but his temperament had suddenly changed drastically.
The whites of his eyes were showing, and he let out beast-like roars, trying to bite anyone he saw. His strength was astonishing. It took several strong men a great deal of effort just to hold him down.
"He’s undergone Demonization," Rosa said, looking at the man with eyes full of sorrow. "Another one has been Demonized."
Seraphina Sullivan didn’t say much, simply placing her hand on the man’s forehead.
A soft white light spilled from her palm, slowly seeping into the space between the man’s eyebrows.
The man’s struggles gradually weakened, and his roars slowly subsided.
His rolled-back eyes gradually returned to normal, and clarity returned to his pupils.
He blinked, looking at the circle of people around him, and asked blankly, "I... what happened to me?"
No one answered him.
But everyone looked at Seraphina Sullivan, their eyes filled with gratitude and awe.
This was the thirty-seventh person afflicted with Demonization that Seraphina Sullivan had Healed in the past few days.
Afterward, Seraphina Sullivan found Rosa and asked the question that had been bothering her:
"Why are people suddenly undergoing Demonization?"
