Infinite Mana: I Am The Absolute Supreme

Chapter 169: Trouble in the ceremony

  • Next Chapter

The expansive grand hall of the palace was filled with thousands of esteemed guests representing countless species and civilizations. Representatives from supreme races, high patriarchs, and galactic leaders conversed in low, respectful tones, their eyes continuously scanning the grand dais at the far end of the chamber.

When Victor walked in alongside Cristofer, a wave of profound silence swept across the massive gathering. Every gaze shifted to the young man whose simple presence seemed to anchor the very space around them.

Victor walked with measured, effortless steps. His gaze slowly scanned the sea of attendees, taking note of the vibrant crests of the high elves, the crystalline structures of the lithoid diplomats, and the imposing forms of various supreme race patriarchs. Yet, after surveying the entire chamber, his expression darkened slightly.

"Any god race emissary didn’t come?" Victor asked, his tone turning noticeably cold as he failed to spot a single representative from those arrogant lineages.

Cristofer sighed softly, a subtle flicker of shame visible in his eyes as he shook his head. "No."

"Did we send them invitation?" Victor asked, his voice remaining quiet yet dangerous.

"We went to invite them but they didn’t allow us to enter their domain," Cristofer replied calmly, maintaining his composure despite the memory of that humiliation.

"Is that so?" Victor said, his eyes turning as cold as a glacier as he absorbed the depth of their disrespect.

The god races had long considered themselves the absolute rulers of the cosmos, looking down on humanity and their allies as mere upstarts. Rejecting an invitation to a supreme power’s wedding by barring the diplomats at the border was a deliberate statement of hostility.

"Okay. Let’s finish the wedding ceremony first. Then I would like to go there myself," Victor said in a calm, flat tone.

Before the chill in the air could settle further, the massive double doors at the side of the hall swung open. A soft hush fell over the crowd as all eyes turned toward the entrance.

Diana entered the hall, escorted by her father. She wore an exquisite blue gown that perfectly matched the rare, luminous shade of her hair. Intricate floral patterns spun from liquid light danced across the fabric, catching the radiance of the celestial lamps above. She moved with grace, looking ethereal as she walked slowly down the long carpet toward the dais.

The frosty glaze in Victor’s eyes vanished almost instantly, replaced by a deep warmth as he watched her approach. Every drop of tension in his frame dissolved the moment her soft eyes met his.

Diana arrived at the altar and stood directly in front of him, her cheeks flushed with a delicate tint.

"You look gorgeous," Victor gave her a simple compliment.

"Thank you," she replied, looking up at him with a gentle shyness that contrasted beautifully with her usual regal demeanor.

Cristofer stepped up onto the raised platform between them, assuming his role as the officiating priest for the marriage. He held out his hands, summoning a subtle halo of sacred energy that enveloped the immediate surroundings, silencing the murmurs of the audience.

"Today, under the eyes of the cosmos and before the gathered leaders of endless races, two souls unite in an eternal bond," Cristofer began, his voice echoing clearly throughout the grand hall.

He guided them through the sacred rites of their shared tradition, leading up to the declaration of their lifelong commitment.

"By the authority of the ancient laws and the power vested in this sacred union, I ask now: if anyone present or across the stars has any objection to this holy union, say that right now."

The silence in the hall lasted for barely a fraction of a second.

Boom!

An apocalyptic pressure violently descended from above, tearing through the atmospheric barriers of the planet and smashing directly into the structural seals of the palace. The massive crystal ceiling shattered into millions of sparkling dust particles as the raw weight of the incoming aura forced hundreds of foreign diplomats down onto their knees, gasping for breath.

"You invited us and began your marriage ceremony without us, do you take us for some lowly fools that you can disrespect anyhow you want?" a majestic, booming voice echoed down from the open sky above the shattered ceiling.

Everyone looked above and saw hundreds of ancient, massive beasts floating in the upper atmosphere. Perched above these colossal creatures were dozens of proud, humanoid entities clad in radiant armor that shimmered with divine light. They were the envoys from the prominent god races.

Victor’s eyes instantly turned frost again. He slowly looked up, his gaze sweeping across the arrogant figures. He immediately recognized the distinct traits of the angel race, the golden dragon race, the fire phoenix race, and the titan race. They had arrived together, deploying their collective pressure to deliberately ruin his ceremony.

"Master, there is a semi immortal astral creature among them. Looks like an envoy from the ancient dragon race came here to cause trouble and his astral creature is stronger than ancestor of the heavenly demons," suddenly Astrion gave him a message in his mind.

"So that’s why they are so arrogant?" Victor almost smiled with rage.

They had deliberately bypassed the boundary seals, brought a suppressed force to his home planet, and dared to interrupt his marriage ceremony at the crucial moment.

"You are not invited anymore. Leave now or else be prepared for racial annihilation," Victor’s cold voice shook the very air, vibrating through the mantle of the planet and ringing in the ears of every living being within miles.

The entire venue turned dead silent.

The sheer audacity of the statement left the gathered foreign leaders completely paralyzed with shock.

"He can even threat in the presence of so many god races?" some envoys from supreme races muttered in hushed, terrified whispers, clutching their chests under the heavy pressure.

The god race envoys who were cocky just now all became faltered for a fraction of a second. The chilling confidence in Victor’s voice sent an instinctual tremor through their hearts. They knew Victor’s legendary astral pet was fully capable of turning their entire vanguard into ash, but today they had brought a high-level reliance.

"Tsk! You are so domineering for a little trashy human, a race not even 10 million years old," suddenly a clear, arrogant voice came out from behind those high envoys.

The crowd of god race warriors split down the middle, making way for a young man wearing a blood-red dragonoid armor. Two sleek, dark dragon horns protruded from his forehead, and a subtle dragon aura pulsed from his frame. Perched casually on his right shoulder was a small, sapphire-scaled miniature dragon that radiated a quiet, terrifying presence.

The young man floated down slowly, stopping a few hundred meters above the shattered ceiling. The little dragon on his shoulder was a genuine semi immortal existence. The man himself was only a quasar realm entity, yet despite his lower personal cultivation, everyone from the god races bowed their heads deeply, treating him with tremendous reverence.

"Who are you?" Victor asked calmly, his eyes narrowing slightly as he assessed the newcomer.

"You are not worthy to know my name. I came here to teach your place. You dared to boss around the subordinate races of the ancient dragon race? Do you have any idea that other ancient races are on their way here as well?" the young man asked, a sneer twisting his features.

"So? You want to fight?" Victor asked as if nothing happened, his posture remaining completely relaxed.

"You aren’t afraid? Good. That would have been boring then. Yes I want to fight. Summon your astral creature," the dragonoid man said, resting a hand on the hilt of his weapon while looking down with absolute contempt.

"Don’t you see, I am busy now. Come later or don’t blame me if the ancient dragon race is under trouble because of you," Victor threatened again, his voice dropping into a register that made the space around the platform warp slightly.

"What? Does he even know what he is talking about? Does he have any fucking idea what an ancient race represent?" the envoys of the god races were all shocked, exchanging bewildered glances.

To them, the ancient races were the absolute, untouchable apex of the universe, entities that had existed since the dawn of creation. As for the lower races sitting in the audience below, they had no idea what an ancient race was, but they could feel the terrifying weight of the confrontation threatening to crush the entire planet.

The young dragonoid man’s eyes turned deathly cold, his pride thoroughly insulted by Victor’s indifferent attitude.

"You are threatening the ancient dragon race? Apologize now or else, you along with your entire race would be exterminated within 3 hours," he said coldly, raising his hand as the small sapphire dragon on his shoulder flared with terrifying, world-ending power.

Victor did not even bother looking up at the young man again. He turned his back to the sky and looked directly at Astrion within his mind.

"Astrion, prepare a domain. I don’t have time to waste. Need to finish the ceremony first."

"Okay master," Astrion said.

Instantly, a translucent domain erupted from Astrion’s form, expanding at an impossible speed. In less than a microsecond, the barrier completely isolated Victor, Diana, and Cristofer from the outside world.

The apocalyptic pressure raining down from the sky was instantly snuffed out, replaced by absolute tranquility within the shimmering sphere of space. The raging shouts of the envoys and the roaring aura of the semi immortal dragon were completely blocked off, unable to penetrate the boundary.

Inside the quiet domain, Victor looked at his master and offered a calm, polite smile.

"Master please finish the ceremony. Looks like some fools want to die."
