Chapter 731: Chapter 731 - Landlady and Landlord Duties

As Laerad and I visited each of the territories, I had to spend some time speaking with the elders. I had to ask for things that they might need or any requests that they might have. I also have to find solutions to any of the problems that they might be facing in their new home since I am just a nice landlady like that.

Most of the beings the in world tree realm seem to be very afraid of Laerad for some reason. Well, I could not blame them since they are technically living within the realm that this deity created and if he gets pissed off they might just end up being kicked out yet again.

It is not a bad thing actually. It is just a little game of good cop and bad cop. Laerad is automatically the bad cop since he is the grumpier one, of course. I had no choice but to take the role of the good cop to balance things out so we can get most out of this landlady/landlord and tenant relationship that we have.

Laerad is tasked to make sure all our rent is paid on time (also known as mana tributes) to keep the world tree realm running smoothly. He also makes sure that any changes to be made in the realm will first receive permission from him then he will personally make those changes happen.

As for me, I rarely appear since my husbands hate the idea of me parading among these mystiques. In their words: "I am a magnet for shameless men that will do anything to get on to my bed". I don’t think that they even realize that they are my husbands now but they all started with trying to seduce me into taking them to my bed before too.

I don’t want to get in trouble so I will never remind them of that fact. Some of them I personally chose but still, it is not so bad to appreciate beauty and it is not my fault that I am attractive, kind, rich or a good provider in their eyes. (A/N: She’s praising herself too much *snickers*)

Also, since I am rarely seen roaming in this place, I feel like a celebrity whenever I visit but I simply see it as they were just excited to speak with me. Laerad sees it as the unmarried men trying to vie for my attention in hopes of being chosen as a consort. Well, he is not wrong but it is still up to me if I chose to add more. I am not saying I won’t in the future but right now, I am just too swamped to even think about that.

It took us the whole day to visit each settlement and village inside the world tree realm and complete the discussions. There was indeed a little parade of unmarried men just like what Laerad thought and said. The most unforgettable one were that of the blood demons and dark elves who were known to being more open-minded and aggressive when it comes to finding partners.

They were barely wearing anything but it is not like I can complain because that’s how their culture is. All I can say is there’s almost nothing left for me to imagine except that part. Everything else can be seen through their sheer clothing.

I guess, Void was being quite polite and formal since he never wore these types of clothing whenever we meet. A factor that he might have to consider was the meeting place since it was in the human realm too so he must thought that it was better to blend in and stay away from unnecessary trouble. I only saw him wear this (umm... actually nothing) when we had our first time in bed together.

The rest of the day was filled with duties such as clearing, creating or moving forested areas to make more room for more houses. We also checked how they are doing when it comes to rent since it will be due in a week. We also had to listen to the incessant rambling of elders, tons of requests including some ridiculous ones since they did it in a suggestion box method where people can write their requests down on a piece of paper and drop it in the box anonymously. Reading those requests was funny and exasperating at the same time.

I told the elders that there was nothing wrong with the suggestion box method but next time they had to filter the requests beforehand. Once it has been filtered to the more viable and reasonable ones, they can then give it to Laerad for a chance of being approved. Laerad looked at me with gratitude since it seems that he did not even bother making this request before.

I could not imagine that he has been hearing these ramblings for several months now. He must have been annoyed to death too seeing that in my case, I have only done this once with them and my patience has almost ran out.

There was also an additional task for me where I was asked to bless some of the women in the different territories that miraculously have gotten pregnant after moving into the realm. It seems that being invited back to the new world tree realm somewhat cleansed their bodies from the curse that spread during the time that Eieneos closed its doors to this world. At least, more children being born to the races means that I must be doing something right and I have inadvertently started mending relationships, even their broken souls and bodies.

Finally, we had a look at the new Ceryneia and Vlaelmundr which Laerad was so excited for me to see. So far, Ceryneia is now breaming with life with sea plants and animals aplenty. These are the same things that I have harvested from the seas in the human realm and the sanctuaries created by the merfolk. I replanted them and placed them here to copy the natural habitat.

As for Vlaelmundr, it was just a vast land with some sparse vegetation if I were to describe it. Laerad was kind enough to create some lakes, high mountains, an area with eternal snow and even a volcano in it since he said that he had to consider the different habitats depending on the dragon type. I praised him on how spacious it was since most likely, once the dragons have recovered their mana, they would be excited to transform to their full forms again or even fly around and that would definitely need a lot of space to happen.
