"Well, I wonder what her fiancé is like. I think he’s possibly going to be some arrogant, spoiled young master..." Kyle sighed lightly, resting his arms behind his head as he stared at the wooden beams supporting the roof.

He had nothing better to do while recovering, so naturally, his thoughts had wandered straight toward Xi Yue and her mysterious fiancé.

"That’s how it is in most martial arts novels, where I, the hero, will rescue the heroine from him and fuck the minds out of her."

He paused briefly before grinning to himself.

Well, he couldn’t exactly call himself the hero yet, but the circumstances were certainly beginning to resemble the opening of one of those novels. There was a beautiful heroine, an apparently ungrateful fiancé, and a mysterious world full of martial artists who probably thought far too highly of themselves.

And then there was him.

Kyle, the protagonist who had nearly become wolf food on his first day.

He had deliberately added the part about fucking because, honestly, that was precisely what he intended to do if he ever rescued Xi Yue from her arrogant young master fiancé. He wasn’t going to pretend otherwise, especially when there was nobody around to judge his thoughts.

"I mean, I can avoid the trouble, but what’s the fun in that? I have already died once. Wouldn’t hurt trying to do that once more."

He chuckled, revealing his pearly whites.

Of course, he wasn’t genuinely eager to die again. He had already experienced enough pain during his encounter with the Bloodfang Wolf to last him a lifetime. Getting his shoulder bitten, his body torn apart by claws, and nearly bleeding to death hadn’t exactly been an enjoyable experience.

Still, there was something exciting about being in a world like this.

Back on Earth, his life had been relatively ordinary. He had to work, earn money, deal with irritating people, and spend a considerable portion of his time worrying about the future. Now, however, he had landed in a world that seemed ripped straight out of a martial arts novel.

There were beautiful women, supernatural abilities, mysterious treasures, and probably countless opportunities waiting to be discovered.

How could he possibly resist?

Kyle began imagining the sorts of trouble he might encounter in the coming days. Perhaps Xi Yue’s fiancé really was an arrogant young master who looked down on everyone weaker than himself. Perhaps the man belonged to a powerful family or sect, making him difficult to deal with. And perhaps rescuing Xi Yue would inevitably drag Kyle into a conflict he had absolutely no intention of getting involved in.

Knowing his luck, something along those lines was practically guaranteed.

He couldn’t even spend his first day in this world without nearly dying. He hadn’t been there for a full day before encountering the Bloodfang Wolf, a creature that had almost turned him into its next meal.

Only through a combination of his skills, quick thinking, and sheer luck had he managed to survive long enough to escape the forest. Even then, he had collapsed on the verge of death, only to be rescued by Xi Yue.

If that wasn’t terrible luck, Kyle didn’t know what was.

He sighed again, shifting slightly against the bed before immediately regretting the movement when pain shot through his injured shoulder.

"Fuck. I really need to stop moving around."

Just as he settled down, a familiar translucent screen appeared in front of him.

He hadn’t expected the System to provide him with such an opportunity. Initially, he had assumed that his temporary travel ticket would allow him to spend thirty days in this world before forcing him to return to Earth.

Thirty days sounded like a reasonable amount of time until he considered everything he wanted to accomplish.

He wanted to explore the world, discover how its supernatural powers worked, find valuable treasures, and, naturally, meet more beautiful women.

And if he could record some porn along the way, all the better.

Now, however, the System was practically telling him that he could extend his stay by accumulating influence. Even better, he might eventually be able to travel freely between worlds.

That was an opportunity he couldn’t afford to ignore.

His reasoning was straightforward. The percentage went all the way to one hundred, so it would be absurd if the System only offered a single milestone.

He was completely flabbergasted.

Fifty thousand System Points for reaching the first tier alone? And the rewards only became more ridiculous from there!

One hundred and fifty thousand at the second tier, half a million at the third, and a whopping one and a half million at the final tier?

That was more money than he could have imagined earning from his videos in such a short period.

And those were merely the System Points. The additional time, unrestricted dimensional travel, World Marketplace, and permanent access to the world were even more valuable in the long run.

Kyle’s eyes practically sparkled.

The Legendary-Grade Skill Card was particularly tempting. He already knew how useful skills could be, especially after his desperate fight against the Bloodfang Wolf. Acquiring a powerful new skill could dramatically improve his chances of surviving future encounters.

Then there was World Integration.

Kyle swallowed, his grin growing wider.
