Chapter 217: Purgatory Sun Manifestation

The Dragon blood inside his body became sluggish.

The circulation of his Dragon Mana was affected as an invisible pressure descended upon his bloodline, forcing it to retreat beneath the overwhelming presence.

Serath’s expression became solemn.

His bloodline had not been completely suppressed as his Abyssal Dragon Imperial Body was of Origin-rank.

A rank that was known as the highest rank even within the whole Universe.

However, that was exactly the problem.

Because even when his talent’s rank was of the highest one, how absurd would Cain’s talent rank need to be that he could suppress him even when he was one Echelon higher than Cain.

Now he truly knew why Cain was able to kill a 2nd Echelon while remaining as an unranked.

If he knew just how monstrous his talent was and that his advancement to the 2nd Echelon would change things this big, he would’ve hindered Cain’s Advancement before.

Naturally, there was no point in regretting it now.

His only choice was to go all out with his life on the line, since his strength was even weakened to a certain point.

His gaze moved toward the Dragon head behind Cain.

The crimson eyes of the projection remained completely motionless, yet Serath felt as if they were looking directly through him.

For the first time since entering Invasion Corridor 73-A, the Youngest Prince’s expression lost its previous calm.

Sigh!

Serath sighed once and shook his head.

"I actually gave you a chance to surrender without forcing you, but it seems that you really don’t value your life."

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Why do you think that I don’t even care about you killing my subordinates and letting you advance? It’s because in the face of true strength, no matter how many ants there are, it doesn’t matter even if they’re crawling on your feet since you can just trample them one by one."

The moment his final word fell, an enormous surge of energy erupted from his body.

The dark crimson Blood Essence within Serath’s body began burning.

His expression became colder as he used his (Dragon Blood Ignition) skill.

A portion of his Dragon Blood Essence was consumed.

BOOM!

The energy released from his body exploded outward with such force that the surrounding rubble was thrown into the air.

The scales covering his body darkened.

The Dragon Mana circulating through his flesh suddenly became far denser, and the Black Sun Dragon Flame around him changed as well.

What had previously been an oppressive black flame now carried a deeper crimson hue at its core, with distorted waves of heat spreading outward from every movement.

Serath’s muscles tightened beneath his scales as his physical power surged.

His regenerative ability also increased as the small injuries accumulated throughout the battle began closing faster.

Serath had finally stopped holding back.

Sigh!

He sighed again.

"I actually don’t want you to be my subordinate after killing you since there will be some side effects, but it seems that I have no more choice."

His crimson eyes shifted toward Mo Xuanye.

"What about you? Do you still want to go against me, or will you be my right-hand man?"

Mo Xuanye’s expression remained unchanged.

Before he could answer, Cain’s laughter interrupted the conversation.

Another eruption of True Ruin Energy surged from Cain’s body.

The black energy around him became considerably denser as he forced more of it through his transformed body.

Cain could feel the pressure building within his flesh.

His current Dragon transformation could endure it, but he knew better than to maintain this level of output indefinitely.

The Primordial Beast Projection was already consuming an enormous amount of Mana, and pushing his True Ruin to its limit placed a heavy burden on his body as well.

He still had to fight intelligently.

"Just say that you’re not confident now, that’s why you want to poach him."

Cain laughed.

Before Serath could respond, Cain’s gaze shifted toward Viktor.

"Fall back."

Viktor frowned.

"I can still fight."

"I know. But you’re already exhausted from defending against Serath earlier. Besides, you won’t be able to handle the current him head on."

Viktor remained silent.

Cain continued, "You’re the only one fighting him entirely at close range. It’s too dangerous for you to keep fighting him head-on."

Viktor looked toward Serath before giving a slight nod.

"Fine."

He stepped away from the frontline and retreated to a safer position.

Cain watched him leave before turning back toward Serath.

Serath’s eyes narrowed.

Cain did not give him the opportunity to answer as he used his Purgatory Sun Manifestation skill.

An Origin Sun Manifestation appeared above him.

But this was no longer the same Origin Sun that Cain had used in his previous battles as the sphere that emerged from his body was covered in Purgatory Flame.

Deep violet fire rolled across its surface, but beneath the violet radiance burned a dark crimson core that seemed almost liquid.

Thin golden lines moved through the surface in irregular patterns before disappearing into the deeper flames.

The Sun itself was noticeably denser than before.

Its surface did not flare wildly.

Instead, the Purgatory Flame remained tightly compressed around it, creating an oppressive heat that spread through the surrounding area despite the energy being held under control.

Cain could feel the difference immediately.

The Purgatory Origin was continuously refining the energy entering the manifested Sun, making every portion of Fire Mana far more concentrated than the Solar energy he had controlled before.

The streets beneath his feet began glowing faintly from the heat.

Cain raised his left arm.

One lance appeared.

Then another.

The number rapidly increased.

In the blink of an eye, one hundred Purgatory Solar Lances hovered above Cain.

The weapons filled the sky behind him.

Their bodies were slender and dark, with deep violet flames wrapping around their surfaces.

Crimson light burned within their centers, and thin golden streaks occasionally flashed through the compressed energy.

The pressure released by the hundred lances made even the surrounding 3rd Echelon Awakeners feel uncomfortable.

Cain flicked his wrist.

The battlefield erupted.

The first wave of lances shot toward Serath from different angles.

Serath’s expression remained calm.

Black Sun Dragon Flame poured into his palm.

The energy gathered so densely that the flame around his hand seemed to collapse inward.

Then he struck forward.

A gigantic palm formed in front of him.

It was completely covered in Black Sun Dragon Flame, with a dark crimson glow running through the center.

The enormous palm collided with the incoming lances.

BOOOOOOM!

The explosion shook the entire central region.
