Investing in My Harem in the Apocalypse Makes Me Stronger
Chapter 216: The Primordial Chaos Dragon’s Projection
Cain barely glanced at the notifications.
"Go back to the main group position and absorb the Cores and Blood Crystals there while advancing to the 3rd Echelon."
Tang Ziyue nodded.
Sonya also understood what he meant.
Neither of them wasted time as they immediately moved toward the main group.
Cain’s gaze then swept across the battlefield.
"Everyone else, fall back!"
His voice carried through the ruined streets.
The others immediately understood.
The main event had finally arrived.
They had already discussed this possibility before entering the central region.
If the Youngest Prince’s strength proved too absurd, everyone below the 3rd Echelon would not participate in surrounding him.
The reason was simple.
A direct attack from Serath while he was fighting seriously could kill a lower-Echelon Awakener before they even had the chance to react.
Nathan was the exception.
His ranged attacks could still interfere with Serath’s movements from a distance.
He might not be able to inflict meaningful damage against the Youngest Prince, but forcing Serath to defend against an unexpected arrow could create an opening when the time was right.
This was actually the best scenario in the worst case scenario as the Youngest Prince didn’t seem to mind them with doing all of their plans accordingly all this time.
Cain opened his status.
The 5 level-ups had given him 60 Free Stat Points.
His current information appeared before his eyes.
[Stats: Strength: 1,553 (+3,146) / Agility: 1,553 (+4,166) / Physique: 1,091 (+5,520) / Sense: 920 (+925) / Mana: 2,000 (+12,000) / Magic: 1,550 (+9,300)]
Cain looked at the numbers for a moment.
Then he immediately allocated all sixty points into Magic Stat.
His Magic Stat increased.
[Stats: Strength: 1,553 (+3,146) / Agility: 1,553 (+4,166) / Physique: 1,091 (+5,520) / Sense: 920 (+925) / Mana: 2,000 (+12,000) / Magic: 1,610 (+9,660)]
Cain smiled with satisfaction as his Magic had increased again.
With the Purgatory Origin Body and his newly evolved Fire abilities, there was little reason to leave those points unused.
He closed the status panel.
A few moments later, Cain finally entered the vicinity of the main battle.
The fighting had become so intense that the surrounding buildings had already been reduced to broken walls and piles of stone.
Cain walked through the destruction without hurrying.
The moment the people fighting around Serath noticed him, their movements slowed.
Mo Xuanye’s eyes shifted toward Cain.
Ron turned his head.
Viktor’s expression became slightly more serious.
Serath also looked over.
Cain smiled faintly.
"Hi guys, it’s been a while, right?"
Ron’s expression immediately twisted.
"You fucking bastard... We’ve been fighting with our lives on the line and yet you’re taking your time with everything instead of immediately helping us?"
Cain laughed.
"What’s the rush? We will kill that arrogant prick at the end of the day anyway."
He shrugged as he continued.
"Besides, it’s not like he could kill you that easily as well, unless he’s putting his life on the line, that is."
Ron stared at him.
"Just shut up and join us quickly!"
Cain chuckled lightly, then settled his eyes on Serath.
The Youngest Prince’s expression had become noticeably colder as he had already understood what Cain’s appearance meant.
The balance of the battle would change if he were to keep fighting like this.
Serath took a slow breath, then spoke as his crimson eyes remained fixed on Cain.
"This will be my last offer. Do you want to be—"
"Cut the crap and let’s finish this once for all."
Cain immediately interrupted him, a faint sneer appeared on his face.
Subsequently, he poured the True Ruin Energy into his body.
The energy rushed through his limbs and reinforced his flesh.
Then Cain activated his Partial Dragon Manifestation skill.
The transformation began.
Instead of only one arm transforming up to the elbow, both of Cain’s arms were completely covered in thick black Dragon scales.
His hands twisted into powerful clawed fingers, each claw gleaming with a sharp, dark edge as True Ruin flowed between the scales.
Then Cain activated his Primordial Beast Projection skill.
A dark silhouette suddenly appeared behind him.
The head of the Primordial Chaos Dragon emerged over Cain’s shoulder, accompanied by a small portion of its thick neck. Its black scales were covered in faint crimson cracks, and its crimson eyes silently stared ahead.
The Dragon’s head was only slightly larger than Cain’s entire body, yet its presence carried an ancient pressure that made the surrounding air feel heavy.
It didn’t move or attack as it simply remained behind Cain, like a manifestation of the Primordial Chaos Dragon’s presence within the Black Menagerie.
At the same time, Cain’s Partial Dragon Manifestation continued spreading across his body.
The black Dragon scales covering Cain’s arms thickened as they spread across his shoulders and chest. His hands completely transformed, his fingers becoming powerful claws covered in dark scales.
The transformation continued down his body.
His legs became covered in dense Dragon scales, and his feet developed sharp claws. More scales spread across his upper back, forming a natural layer of protection over his body.
Two curved horns emerged from his forehead, while a thick armored tail extended from his lower back.
Cain’s transformation had reached a level far beyond what he had achieved before.
With the Primordial Chaos Dragon’s projection behind him, his Dragon characteristics became substantially stronger, and more True Ruin flowing through his body surged with newfound power.
Serath’s expression immediately changed, his eyes narrowed as he stared at Cain.
He had seen Cain use his Dragon transformation before.
But this time was different as the change was far more complete and looked basically almost like him.
The black scales covering Cain’s body gave off a dense pressure, and the Primordial Chaos Dragon’s projection behind him made that pressure even heavier.
Serath could feel the difference as his body reacted before his mind could fully process it.
The moment Cain’s eyes met his, the Dragon’s innate pressure spread outward.
Serath’s pupils immediately contracted.
For an instant, the sensation was almost as though a far higher existence had appeared directly in front of him.
