Investing in My Harem in the Apocalypse Makes Me Stronger

Chapter 218: Serath’s Monstrous Strength

  • Next Chapter

Purgatory Flame and Black Sun Dragon Flame collided violently, producing a distorted wave of heat and energy that tore through the surrounding buildings.

Several lances were destroyed in the explosion, while others were deflected into the surrounding streets, leaving only a handful to continue toward Serath.

The Youngest Prince moved through the blast without retreating.

His body shot forward with terrifying speed, Dragon scales covering his entire body as the remaining lances approached from different directions.

Cain’s eyes sharpened as he charged toward him. At the same time, the surviving lances converged around Serath, and Cain compressed the eighty weapons into twenty.

The twenty lances became noticeably denser.

Their slender bodies darkened beneath the enormous concentration of Purgatory Flame, deep violet fire clinging tightly to their surfaces as the energy within each weapon became far more destructive than before.

Cain drew his sword and flooded the blade with True Ruin.

A dark-gray radiance covered its edge, distorting the space around it as Cain swung the moment Serath reached him.

Serath raised his arm.

CLANG!

The sword collided against his Dragon scales, releasing a violent shockwave that made Cain’s arm shake from the impact.

The scales covering Serath’s forearm remained intact despite the force behind the strike.

His other hand had already moved.

Cain twisted his body as a claw passed beside his chest, and the air itself seemed to tear apart from the force behind the attack.

He stepped sideways and thrust his sword toward Serath’s throat.

Serath tilted his head.

The blade scraped across his neck, leaving a shallow cut between his scales.

A thin line of dark blood emerged.

Serath’s eyes immediately became colder.

His tail suddenly moved.

Cain’s expression changed as the thick armored tail swept toward him from behind.

BANG!

The impact sent Cain flying.

He twisted through the air before landing several meters away, his boots carving two long lines across the ruined street as pain spread through his back.

The force behind the attack had been considerably greater than he expected.

Serath did not give him time to recover as he appeared directly in front of Cain with his fist already moving forward.

Cain raised his left arm.

Their fists collided.

BOOM!

Cain’s arm went numb as his body was pushed backward.

He took ten steps before finally stopping, whereas Serath only retreated several steps from the collision.

Cain’s eyes narrowed.

’This bastard’s strength is still monstrous.’

Even with the Primordial Chaos Dragon’s pressure suppressing Serath’s Dragon bloodline to some extent, he still possessed greater physical power and an astonishingly durable body.

Fortunately, the difference was not large enough to make Cain incapable of fighting him.

Cain swung his sword.

A crescent of True Ruin swept across the battlefield, forcing Serath to raise one claw and cut downward.

Black Sun Dragon Flame surrounded his hand and tore through the crescent before the twenty Purgatory Solar Lances descended from above.

Serath’s eyes shifted upward.

His tail whipped around, striking several lances out of the air.

The remaining weapons curved around him, forcing Serath to release another wave of Black Sun Dragon Flame that swallowed them.

BOOM!

The explosion spread across the street.

By then, Cain had already manifested another hundred lances.

This time, he did not attack from a single direction.

The weapons spread throughout the surrounding air before descending from different angles, forcing Serath to deal with attacks approaching from every side.

Serath’s expression became serious as his body blurred through the bombardment.

The first lance struck the street where he had been standing, creating a violent explosion of Purgatory Flame.

Another descended from above, and Serath raised his claw to knock it aside before a third struck his shoulder.

CLANG!

The lance shattered against his Dragon scales.

A dark scorch mark appeared across the surface, and several scales cracked beneath the concentrated force, but the weapon failed to penetrate.

Serath continued moving.

Another lance slammed into his side, forcing his body slightly sideways as Purgatory Flame spread across the damaged scales.

A second attack struck the same region moments later, deepening the cracks and leaving a larger burned area.

A third lance struck his thigh and shattered after leaving another deep mark across his scales.

Serath’s body remained intact.

The attacks were damaging him, but they were nowhere near enough to break through his defense individually.

Cain’s eyes narrowed as he thought to himself.

’His defense is even stronger than I had thought.’

The Primordial Chaos Dragon’s suppression had weakened Serath’s Dragon bloodline, but it had not erased the enormous advantage provided by his Abyssal Dragon Imperial Body and his higher Echelon.

Cain changed his approach.

Instead of expecting individual lances to pierce Serath, he continued the bombardment, forcing repeated impacts against the same areas and making Serath spend energy defending himself while Cain and the others searched for openings.

Serath suddenly appeared in front of him.

Cain barely raised his sword before a claw struck the blade.

CLANG!

The impact forced the sword downward.

Serath followed without hesitation, driving his knee into Cain’s abdomen.

BANG!

Cain’s body folded around the strike as the force drove the air from his lungs.

Before he could recover, Serath’s tail slammed into his side and sent him crashing through the wall of a nearby building.

The structure collapsed around him.

"Cain!"

Elara’s voice came from farther away.

Cain emerged from the rubble with blood running from the corner of his mouth.

He wiped it away with his thumb and looked toward Serath.

"I’m fine."

He had barely finished speaking when a massive black palm descended from above.

Mo Xuanye had finally attacked.

"Your attention is elsewhere."

The enormous palm smashed toward Serath, who looked upward without attempting to escape.

Black Heavenly Demon Qi collided against the Black Sun Dragon Flame surrounding his body.

BOOM!

The impact shattered the street beneath Serath, forcing his body downward.

Before he could break free, another attack arrived.

A thin beam of Heavenly Demon Qi shot toward his chest.

Serath twisted his body, causing the concentrated attack to strike the scales covering his shoulder instead.

CLANG!
