The more Enzo listened to the man’s words, the more uncomfortable he became.

They were extremely vague, yet it was obvious that there was some hidden meaning behind them.

"Alright, I’ll leave it at that... If you’re interested, contact me!" He suddenly stood up and placed a simple business card on the table.

He then walked toward the door and opened it, briefly speaking with the Dean before leaving for good.

"Enzo, what did he say? Does he want to recruit you?" the Dean asked when he came inside.

"I don’t know. I’m not sure," Enzo replied.

"Not sure?" The Dean was confused.

"His words were too vague. I don’t understand what his purpose was either. He gave me his business card."

"Hmm..." The Dean seemed deep in thought.

"Dean, I’ll be leaving now," Enzo said, putting the business card away as he stood up.

The Dean nodded and let him leave.

"Let’s go home now!" Enzo said to Eva.

"Mhm..." The woman followed behind him.

This time, of course, their car had already been delivered to the university.

It had even been parked very close to the building’s entrance, so they didn’t have to walk far.

Eva opened the door for Enzo, and he simply got inside.

Those who had seen them take a taxi now understood that they had only taken one to avoid the traffic jam.

Eva drove onto the road at a fairly high speed.

She understood that Enzo really wanted to get home quickly.

"Damn it," Eva said when they reached the wide main road at high speed.

Enzo had been looking at his phone when he heard that, so he had no idea what was happening.

When he looked ahead, his eyes widened.

A man jumped toward their car from a large truck.

His body was swelling, looking as though it was about to explode.

It was exactly like what had happened that morning.

How could there be another one here?

Why was he trying to blow himself up when there wasn’t even any threat that could capture him?

Enzo’s mind immediately became convinced that there was some kind of scheme behind this.

But whether it was a scheme or not didn’t matter. If the man exploded, he would die.

Die together with Eva? She might consider that romantic, but he certainly didn’t.

’Destroy!’

Fortunately, the man was only Level 5 and naturally possessed a Weak Human Soul.

The light disappeared from his eyes, and they closed. His swollen body also returned to its original state.

He died instantly, but he was still in midair.

The panicked Eva simply increased the car’s speed and, fortunately, managed to pass beneath the man before he fell.

BANG!

He landed on the car following them from behind, causing it to lose control and crash into the road divider.

Eva let out a sigh of relief.

"What happened?" she wondered aloud while looking into the rearview mirror, while Enzo looked behind them.

"Faster!" he finally ordered Eva.

The accident had nothing to do with them.

If he hadn’t used his power, they would all have died in the explosion.

He simply wanted to get back as quickly as possible, worried that there might be another danger.

In his opinion, now that these people could blow themselves up, even the Stanley Family’s presence in the city wouldn’t be enough to stop them.

They couldn’t possibly arrive at a location faster than those people could detonate themselves.

Except perhaps Miya—but could she really monitor the entire city at all times?

She would be overwhelmed if she did that.

Fortunately, nothing else happened until they arrived at Stanley Mountain.

Eva, who was driving, still seemed deep in thought about what had happened.

She couldn’t understand why the explosion had failed.

Was it simply a failed attempt because they were still in the experimental stage?

After passing through the gates, Enzo was quite surprised.

He saw Miya waiting on the terrace.

The woman was wearing long pants and a short-sleeved shirt, while her purple hair was tied up in a bun, though it was somewhat messy.

Enzo wasn’t sure why she was waiting there.

Eva naturally stopped the car in front of the terrace, and Enzo opened the car door himself.

The moment he stepped out, he immediately received Miya’s gaze.

The woman looked him up and down.

"Hello?" Enzo greeted her, feeling somewhat awkward because her gaze confused him.

After being separated for a while, it felt as though this woman wasn’t his. She seemed strangely distant from him.

"You surprised me," Miya said.

"Surprised?"

Enzo became even more confused.

Was she surprised by the fact that he had managed to defeat Alex?

"I was quite worried earlier because City Z isn’t safe right now, and Alexander wouldn’t bother ensuring your safety. So I kept an eye on you while you were on the road, both when you left and on your way home."

Enzo: "..."

"Come inside. Let’s talk. I heard from the Dean that you also met Erick Perez," Miya continued before heading back into the house.

Enzo quickly followed and closed the door behind him.

Miya was already sitting on the sofa and gestured for him to sit beside her.

Enzo sat down.

Suddenly, Miya’s hand touched his forehead, and for a moment, Enzo felt a strange jolt run through his entire body.

"What are you, exactly?" The woman was astonished, her eyes widening.

"So, were those two people who were about to explode killed because of you?" she asked after briefly overreacting.

"Maybe..." Enzo replied with a forced expression.

He had thought about keeping this ability a secret, but apparently, it was too difficult to hide it from his overwhelmingly powerful wife.

"I’ve read information about something like that before." Miya nodded in understanding.

"That’s incredible. At first, I thought you wouldn’t be able to cultivate at all and that I would have to help you. In the end, you were able to cultivate on your own without my help, and it turns out you possess such incredible talent."

"Am I no longer the right choice if my potential is so high and I might become powerful?" Enzo asked worriedly.

After all, Miya initially hadn’t wanted a strong man to become her husband.

That was what Mr. Joe had told him when he first explained why Miya had chosen him.

"Hahaha, don’t overthink it. If you grow stronger by my side, then of course you’re the perfect choice," the woman replied with a laugh.

Only after hearing that did Enzo sigh in relief and unconsciously hold the woman’s hand.

Of course, he was afraid that she might abandon him.

"By the way, what did Erick Perez say to you? I didn’t monitor you while you were at the university because it’s a safe place," Miya asked again.
