Chapter 825: Chapter 752: Prey

"Is that so?" Tu Xiao’an fearlessly formed his hand into a claw, reaching directly for the longsword Yan Guan thrust at him. With this grab, lightning flared across his entire body, channeling straight up the blade and into Yan Guan.

"AAAH!"

Thunder contained Celestial Might. Yan Guan instantly let out a miserable shriek.

On the other side, Du Jun was greatly alarmed. He thought, "Not good. Yan Guan is no match for this Super Great Demon."

Meanwhile, he himself was entangled by an eerie man. He wondered who this person was and marveled at his incredible strength. Du Jun found it inconceivable that he, a dignified Third stage Peak War God, was actually helpless against this man who had appeared out of nowhere. The man’s methods were extremely bizarre, easily neutralizing Du Jun’s attacks. He looked completely relaxed, as if he were just playing around.

Du Jun hadn’t expected this Super Great Demon to have such a formidable helper. It was no wonder he was so unbridled, daring to barge into the Demon Management Bureau and kill a city boss.

"Ling Yihang, Shao Qiu, hurry to Building Three!" Du Jun could no longer care about his pride and began to summon his allies.

Unbeknownst to him, his allies were passionately tossing and turning in Building Two. Their bodies were entangled together, working hard as they made love. They were having the time of their lives.

Electrocuted through his longsword, Yan Guan screamed shrilly. Left with no other choice, he threw the blade away. Then, a terrifying face manifested on his forehead, roaring at Tu Xiao’an as if it wanted to devour him alive.

Tu Xiao’an naturally saw the horrific visage on Yan Guan’s forehead. Sudden realization washed over him as everything clicked into place.

"Ghost Demon. I didn’t expect you to be quite so capable, actually managing to possess Yan Guan’s body. Your fox tail is finally showing, isn’t it?" Tu Xiao’an focused his gaze entirely on Yan Guan’s forehead. If an ordinary person saw that terrifying face, they would have wet their pants in fear.

"Tsk, tsk. So what if you figured it out? You are all meant to be my food anyway," Yan Guan’s face twisted into extreme ferocity, his voice turning incredibly hoarse.

"Yan Guan, you..." Du Jun also spotted the terrifying face on his forehead and froze in shock.

Seeing that Du Jun had stopped moving, Artifact Spirit Xiaoyang halted as well. His master’s orders were not to kill Du Jun.

"Idiot, now you know the truth, right?" Tu Xiao’an looked at Du Jun as if he were a complete fool. He thought, "How did someone with this level of intelligence become a city boss? No wonder he had to summon bosses from other cities just to deal with a mere Ghost Demon."

Du Jun was clearly nothing more than a brainless brute.

"Ghost Demon, leave Yan Guan’s body!" Du Jun finally reacted, letting out a furious shout.

The Ghost Demon’s expression was savage as he rasped, "Even if I leave, this man won’t survive."

What!

Du Jun suddenly gasped in cold air. If Yan Guan died too, that meant two major city bosses would have died right here at his B City Demon Management Bureau. He was finished. It was over. He would have to take the fall for this massive disaster.

"Ghost Demon, prepare to die!"

Du Jun refused to think about what kind of official punishment he would face later; his only plan right now was to kill the Ghost Demon. His Elemental Power surged violently. His War God aura grew utterly terrifying as he threw a punch straight at the possessed Yan Guan.

The Ghost Demon merely swept a cold glance over him and remained completely motionless. Just as Du Jun’s domineering, unparalleled fist was about to strike his body, the Ghost Demon teased, "Come on. I’ll let you kill me. However, the one you’ll kill isn’t me, but Yan Guan."

HISS!

Du Jun abruptly stopped his attack. It was true—any strike he landed right now would be borne by Yan Guan’s body. Yan Guan was a High Rank War God, after all; even possessed by a Ghost Demon, he wouldn’t die immediately. But if Du Jun struck, wouldn’t that make him Yan Guan’s murderer? Then, the Ghost Demon could simply float away from Yan Guan’s corpse scot-free.

"If you won’t hit me, then I won’t hold back," the Ghost Demon snickered. With a backhand punch, he smashed into Du Jun.

PFU!

The dignified Third stage Peak War God directly spat out a mouthful of blood and was sent flying backward.

"Idiot. The Ghost Demon possesses Yan Guan’s body. Killing Yan Guan is the same as killing the Ghost Demon," Tu Xiao’an said from the sidelines, shaking his head.

"Even so, I can’t be the one to do it," Du Jun coughed up blood. Yan Guan was a city boss, after all; nothing could happen to him. Moreover, the man had come here to help.

"You do it," Du Jun suggested, turning his attention to Tu Xiao’an.

Tu Xiao’an laughed when he heard this. He thought, "You have reservations about your status and can’t kill Yan Guan, so you want me to do it? Because I’m a Demon, right? Then you can just push all the blame onto me."

"Are you kidding me?" Tu Xiao’an stared at Du Jun like he was an absolute moron.

Meanwhile, the Ghost Demon possessing Yan Guan just stood there mockingly, secure in the knowledge that he had backing.

"You are the representative sent by X City’s boss. You also have a responsibility to kill the Ghost Demon," Du Jun said sternly.

"Now you acknowledge me as X City’s representative instead of a Demon?" Tu Xiao’an’s face was full of disdain. Du Jun really shouldn’t try using such petty schemes on him.

"Damn it, why haven’t Ling Yihang and Shao Qiu arrived yet?" Du Jun thought. The current situation put him in a terrible dilemma. To kill the Ghost Demon, he had to kill Yan Guan first.

"Come on, kill me already. I want to die so badly." The Ghost Demon walked toward Du Jun, sticking his neck out. Arrogant. He was incredibly arrogant.

"Leave Yan Guan’s body, and we will fight fairly. If you can defeat me, I will let you go," Du Jun said in a deep voice.

"Why should I leave? There is so much delicious blood here. You are all my prey."

"You’re courting death!" Du Jun was so enraged he felt like he would explode on the spot. A weapon materialized in his hand—it was actually a Fangtian Halberd. He pointed it at the Ghost Demon, his killing intent erupting like a hurricane.

"Come on, do it." The Ghost Demon’s face was full of contempt. The terrifying face on his forehead had completely manifested by now, fully taking over Yan Guan’s body.

SQUELCH!

Du Jun’s eyes widened in disbelief. Holding up his Fangtian Halberd, he watched Yan Guan’s body voluntarily impale itself onto the weapon. With this collision, Yan Guan’s body began to bleed, the blood oozing out steadily.

"Wow, what delicious blood." Yan Guan used his hand to catch the blood flowing from his own body, then began to drink it. However, he didn’t put it in his mouth; bizarrely, he lifted it to his forehead.

Right in front of Tu Xiao’an and Du Jun, the terrifying face eagerly drank the blood. It was completely brazen, slurping it down as casually as if it were drinking soy milk.

"Xiaoyang, can you tell what the hell this thing is?" The Ghost Demon’s methods were far too terrifying.

Xiaoyang shook his head. It was true that he was an Artifact Spirit of the Ancient War Ruins, but he didn’t know everything. He only really knew about the things within his own domain.

With a thought from Tu Xiao’an, Xiaoyang vanished.

DRIP DRIP...

Impaled on the Fangtian Halberd, Yan Guan’s body continued to bleed while the horrifying face continuously drank the blood. It made one’s scalp tingle with dread.

Du Jun backed away with a dark expression. He still hadn’t made up his mind, leaving him completely strung along by the Ghost Demon. In truth, the situation was already very clear—if Du Jun wanted to kill the Ghost Demon, he had to go all out, regardless of the consequences. Yan Guan was possessed by the Ghost Demon, meaning his fate was already sealed. Killing Yan Guan wouldn’t necessarily kill the Ghost Demon, but it would at least force the creature to abandon the host body.

Tu Xiao’an didn’t share Du Jun’s heavy burdens, but he also had no desire to take the risk of killing a city boss. He was Lord Gong of the Yaoling Mountain Range. Rooted in the idea of Demons and humans coexisting peacefully, he knew better than to involve himself in something like this. Yan Guan was no ordinary High Rank War God; he was the boss in charge of an entire city. His status was simply too important.

Originally, Tu Xiao’an was just here to pass the time anyway. He was just watching the show. What did this have to do with him? Just moments ago, Du Jun had boldly declared he was going to kill him, a Great Demon. And now he expected Tu Xiao’an to help him? Was he joking?

"You kill him, and I won’t hold you responsible," Du Jun still wanted Tu Xiao’an to do the deed.

Tu Xiao’an sat on the railing, fully treating himself as an outsider. In fact, he was quite curious as to why Ling Yihang had seemed to disappear entirely after going to Building Two. He still hadn’t shown up, which was really starting to make no sense.

"Brother Ling, let’s stop fooling around. Boss Du just called for us."

At this moment, the two of them were sitting on a desk in an office. They had just engaged in a bout of wild passion right on this very desk. Now, Shao Qiu felt that something was amiss and began adjusting her clothes to head outside.

"Sister Shao, what’s the rush? Boss Du can handle it," Ling Yihang said with a lazy expression, acting as if whatever disaster was happening outside had absolutely nothing to do with him.

Shao Qiu frowned, looking at Ling Yihang. "We’re here to help deal with the Ghost Demon, not to mess around."

Besides, they had already finished messing around. It was time to handle actual business.

"What if I don’t want you to go outside?" Ling Yihang suddenly changed his tone, looking at Shao Qiu indifferently.

"Brother Ling, you...?"

For some unknown reason, a surge of sudden terror welled up in Shao Qiu’s heart. She began to back away subconsciously, putting some distance between herself and him. The renowned top boss of S City shouldn’t be acting like this. Right now, the way he was looking at her... it was exactly like he was staring at prey.
