Chapter 55: Chapter 55: Cyan Dragon Second Form

Early the next morning.

Xiao Yu opened her sleepy eyes, sluggishly sitting up and scratching her messy hair.

"I’m so sleepy..." she mumbled, her small face wrinkling with irritation. "If I don’t get enough sleep, my skin will look terrible."

A second later, she jolted upright. She smacked her cheeks a few times—SMACK, SMACK, SMACK—and fully opened her eyes. "Xiao Yu, you can’t slack off! You have to protect your status in the Sect!"

Feng Yin was an absolute overachiever. If she didn’t work hard, he would definitely leave her in the dust.

Xiao Yu stretched lazily before quickly getting out of bed to wash up. She soon freshened up and stepped out of her room, immediately spotting Xie Yanran practicing earnestly with her sword in the suite’s living room.

Xie Yanran’s mastery of the Snake Sword had reached a level of pure instinct, wielding the blade as if it were an extension of her own body. Even in a confined space like the living room, cluttered with obstacles, she bobbed and weaved effortlessly within a hair’s breadth. The flashes of her sword were as sharp and swift as lightning.

Xiao Yu’s eyes sparkled. "Morning, Yanran! Your Snake Sword is amazing! You’re way better than any other Disciple I’ve seen!"

In an instant, Xie Yanran sheathed her sword. She smiled at the quirky girl. "I’ve just been practicing for a long time. I’m actually quite dull-witted. After all these years, I still haven’t grasped Combat Essence or awakened the See Through ability. Aside from a stronger physique, my actual strength hasn’t improved much."

Xiao Yu giggled. "You’re already super strong! By the way, how is your hubby doing?"

"He lost a lot of blood and had surgery, after all. He was just pushing himself last night, so he’s still sleeping now," Xie Yanran replied softly. She turned her face away slightly, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. "And Old Hong isn’t my husband yet. We haven’t officially tied the knot..."

Xiao Yu nudged Xie Yanran with her elbow, flashing a mischievous grin. "No worries! Once we get back, I’ll help sort out his identity papers. Then we’ll make Old Hong propose to you and throw a massive, glamorous wedding!"

Xie Yanran reached out and patted Xiao Yu’s head. "What glamorous wedding? You’re always full of crazy ideas."

"Hehe." Xiao Yu glanced around. "Where’s Feng Yin?"

Xie Yanran pointed upward. "Jiao Swordsmanship involves wide, sweeping motions and fierce footwork. It’s not suited for tight spaces, so he’s up on the Roof practicing with Master."

"Then I’m going up to play too!" Xiao Yu grabbed her Wooden Sword and sprinted toward the indoor stairs.

THUMP THUMP THUMP.

She hurried up to the rooftop. Watching Xiao Yu’s cheerful demeanor, Xie Yanran smiled faintly and shook her head. This junior Disciple was lively and adorable. Despite being the daughter of a massive corporate conglomerate, she didn’t have an ounce of arrogance. She was truly endearing.

As the representative of the Xuan Guang Group, Xiao Yu’s suite was located on the top floor of the cruise ship hotel. It featured a spacious Roof that offered the best possible view.

WHOOSH.

She popped her head out of the stairwell, immediately spotting Feng Yin practicing Jiao Swordsmanship while Xie Jingyuan stood nearby, nodding in constant approval.

"Master! Feng Yin!" Xiao Yu called out with boundless energy, hopping onto the platform. "Feng Yin, you didn’t even call me to practice. That’s so mean," she preemptively struck before either of them could speak.

Feng Yin paused his Jiao Sword routine and looked back helplessly. "You were sleeping in..."

"Xiao Yu," Xie Jingyuan chided, "Feng Yin got up at the crack of dawn to practice. If he had called you then, would you have even woken up?"

Xiao Yu’s eyes widened into perfect circles. "Wow! No wonder you’re always up before me, no matter how early I wake up. You’re such a workaholic!"

Feng Yin smiled faintly. "I just didn’t have anything else to do. Since I couldn’t sleep, I figured I might as well practice Martial arts."

In reality, he thought that there was no need to sleep so much in life, as he would have plenty of time to rest after death. Since he had managed to transmigrate into this unique world and possessed a Golden Finger that gave him the potential to reach the peak of superhumans, he absolutely had to cherish the opportunity.

Unexpectedly, Feng Yin’s casual excuse brought a look of guilt to Xiao Yu’s face. She hurriedly apologized, "I’m sorry, Feng Yin. I forgot you have amnesia and don’t have any past memories to think about."

Feng Yin was taken aback for a moment but chose not to correct the misunderstanding.

Beside them, Xie Jingyuan offered a calm smile. "Because of his amnesia, Feng Yin isn’t entangled in mundane affairs and can focus entirely on his Martial arts. It’s a blessing in disguise." He turned to Feng Yin. "I am very pleased with your dedication. Today, I’ll take this opportunity to teach you a new Fixed Form of the Cyan Dragon Secret Sword."

He was getting to learn a new Technique already!?

Feng Yin’s spirits immediately lifted. Although the Azure Dragon Shocking Horn was incredibly strong, it was primarily a Counterattack Skill. If he wanted to use it proactively for an offense... unless the target was extremely close, it was hard to find a suitable situation for it. He hoped this new Sword Skill would be an offensive Technique.

Beside him, Xiao Yu was visibly vibrating with excitement. "A new move! I want to learn it too!"

Accustomed to Xiao Yu’s fickle nature of always chasing the next shiny thing, Xie Jingyuan simply gave a slight nod. "I’ll say it again: you can learn it, but until you can proficiently activate your Dragon Transformation, you are forbidden from using the Cyan Dragon Secret Sword carelessly."

"Of course, of course. I’m the most obedient student ever," Xiao Yu said, her eyes curving into happy crescents as she turned to look at Feng Yin. "Feng Yin, I’m so jealous of you. You get to learn so many incredible Techniques right after returning. I’m practically riding on your coattails here."

Feng Yin chuckled. "You’re not losing out, either. You really ought to be thanking me."

Xiao Yu stuck her tongue out at him. "Well then, thank you so much."

Smiling as he watched the two bicker, Xie Jingyuan eventually adopted a stern, serious expression. "Alright, enough playing around. Pay attention."

Xiao Yu immediately stood at attention. "I’m being very serious. Feng Yin started it."

Xie Jingyuan shook his head helplessly and began to explain in a calm, measured tone. "The seven Fixed Forms of the Cyan Dragon Secret Sword are derived from the ’Seven Stars of the Azure Dragon’—specifically the Horn, Neck, Root, Room, Heart, Tail, and Winnowing Basket constellations."

He unhooked his sword and, with the scabbard still attached, demonstrated the stance for the Azure Dragon Shocking Horn. "The first Technique I taught you two days ago was the Azure Dragon Shocking Horn, which is a Counterattack Skill." Returning to a neutral standing position, he said mildly, "And the second Technique is the most ferocious offensive strike among the Cyan Dragon Secret Swords."

"Offensive strikes are great!" Xiao Yu’s eyes lit up. "Fierce attacks are exactly what we need! Counterattack Skills are way too hard."

Xie Jingyuan frowned. "Each of the seven Fixed Forms of the Cyan Dragon Secret Sword has its own crucial application. There is no superiority or inferiority between them. Xiao Yu, remember to guard against arrogance and impatience."

"Oh, right. Got it," Xiao Yu replied, instantly returning to her well-behaved facade.

Xie Jingyuan then looked at Feng Yin and pointed to a spot ten meters away. "Walk over there, and no matter what happens, do not move."

Though curious as to why he needed to be so far away, Feng Yin didn’t ask any questions. He obediently walked over, stood firm, and looked back at Xie Jingyuan.

Xie Jingyuan had already assumed the Forehead Level Stance from Jiao Swordsmanship, gripping the sword with both hands near the side of his face, the blade’s tip pointed directly at the enemy.

"Watch closely. This is the strongest offensive strike of the Cyan Dragon Secret Sword..."

THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP THUMP—

As he spoke, Xie Jingyuan seamlessly entered the Dragon Transformation State. His hair and beard flared outward, making him look like an absolute madman.

In the next instant, the metal floor beneath Xie Jingyuan’s feet caved in, letting out a sharp SCREECH. He forcefully dashed forward, leaving a string of afterimages in his wake, and closed the distance to Feng Yin in a fraction of a second!

Feng Yin’s eyes trembled violently. To him, it looked as though Xie Jingyuan were enveloped by the phantom silhouette of a raging dragon, roaring as it tore through the air straight toward him!

ROAR!

A gale smashed into his face, vibrating with a piercing shriek that sounded just like a dragon’s cry. Feng Yin’s hair whipped wildly in the air, blown back by the intense atmospheric pressure.

With a sudden halt of his footsteps, Xie Jingyuan stopped steadily right in front of Feng Yin. His sword, still in its scabbard, pressed close to Feng Yin’s neck, hovering exactly one inch away.

"This is the second form of the Cyan Dragon Secret Sword," Xie Jingyuan said with calm leisure, his complexion having returned to normal as he quietly deactivated his Dragon Transformation State. "Soaring Dragon Sky-Piercing!"
