Chapter 339: Learning to be Domineering from Sowing Discord
Jisierk had a bad reputation?
Among the Direct Lineage of the Eight Golden Families, who didn’t know about each other’s dirty laundry?
Because of their noble status, everything in their territories revolved around them. Occasionally taking a fancy to a certain woman and dragging her to their yurt to have their way with her—wasn’t that perfectly normal?
For an eighteen-year-old Direct Lineage disciple of the nobility like Jisierk, it would be a disgrace if he *hadn’t* slept with at least ten virgins.
Never mind that the laws of Dahar Khan couldn’t touch them; the women they took were expected to be grateful. If one were to become pregnant with their child, her status would rise along with the child’s. That was considered a blessing from the White Wolf King.
Li Haiqin was a Sandalwood Flower of the Grassland. After seeing her once in Han City three years ago, Jisierk could never forget her.
Upon returning to his clan, Jisierk told his father about it and declared he would marry no one but Li Haiqin in this life.
Sure enough, his father sent people to the Lindi Clan to propose marriage.
The eldest young master of the Lindi Clan had already agreed and had even persuaded Li Haiqin’s parents. But who would have thought that Li Haiqin herself would run away to Han City?
As soon as Jisierk heard the news, he immediately rushed to Han City.
He originally thought his sincerity was more than enough, but to his surprise, when Li Haiqin saw him, she told him to give up the idea completely.
Worse, Li Haiqin’s Guard had actually dared to attack him, a direct heir of a Golden Clan. Jisierk was furious.
‘Since you’re unwilling to marry me, I’ll just go to the Khan King and ask for a decree. You can’t refuse that, can you?’
Three years ago, during the struggle for the throne, the Hanmo Clan had been the Khan King’s most loyal supporter. The Khan King would be in no position to refuse his request.
When night fell, he met with the Khan King and the old Clan Leader of the Lindi Clan.
“Little Prince, someone just reported that the Little Princess Li Haiqin beat up Mo Sang at the Tayun Building. Now Moqish is heading there with his men.”
Upon hearing this, the cheerful expression on Jisierk’s face instantly vanished.
“Who did you say? Moqish?”
“Yes. Mo Sang is Moqish’s younger brother. Although Mo Sang was born to a slave, he’s the brother Moqish is closest to. What’s more, if Moqish sees the Little Princess’s beauty, I’m afraid things will get complicated.”
“Gather some men, quickly! Follow this Prince to the Tayun Building!”
Jisierk shouted the order and snatched his personal saber from a nearby rack.
This saber was a reward from the Khan King to Jisierk’s grandfather upon his ascension. His grandfather had given it to him upon returning, a clear sign of the high regard in which he was held.
Jisierk and his entourage rushed excitedly towards the Tayun Building.
Inside the Tayun Building, Li Haiqin was trembling with anger. She had taken Huo Er’s advice to act more arrogant and overbearing, hoping it would make Jisierk back down.
But before she even had a chance to be overbearing, she was harassed by some lecher.
As a Direct Lineage of the Golden Clan, how could she tolerate such an insult?
She ordered Huo Er to teach the lecher a lesson. Huo Er did not disappoint, taking down all the Guards behind the man before giving the lecher a slap so hard it made half his face swell up.
“You damn bitch, do you have any idea who I am?” Mo Sang roared, clutching his face.
SLAP—
Before Li Haiqin could say a word, Chu Fan stepped forward and slapped him again.
“If you don’t know how to talk, I don’t mind smashing all your teeth and cutting out your tongue,” Chu Fan warned.
In truth, coming to the Tayun Building was part of Chu Fan’s plan. He had learned about Mo Sang a few days ago while visiting a brothel with Kemoqi and Ghazi.
The man was an absolute lecher, a starving ghost for women. Chu Fan knew that as soon as Mo Sang saw Li Haiqin, his lust would cloud his judgment.
And that was exactly what happened.
So far, everything was proceeding according to his plan.
“How dare a slave like you hit me! Just you wait. I guarantee you won’t live to see tomorrow’s sun.”
Although Mo Sang was intimidated by Chu Fan’s strength, as a scion of a Golden Clan—even if not from the Direct Lineage—he was still far superior to common folk. He was noble. He couldn’t afford to lose face.
Chu Fan sneered. “I don’t care who you are. You deserve a beating for speaking rudely to my master. My master is merciful and didn’t have me kill you. You should be grateful.”
Hearing Chu Fan’s words, Li Haiqin felt a sense of satisfaction. It was just a shame she wasn’t strong enough to have done it herself.
Now she was finally experiencing the thrill of being arrogant and overbearing.
“If you’ve got the guts, you just wait!” Mo Sang roared.
“Fine, I’ll wait. I’d love to see what kind of big shot you can call over,” Chu Fan replied just as arrogantly.
Then, he whispered to Li Haiqin, “Princess, perhaps you should leave first. Leave this to me. It wouldn’t be good if you were injured when the fighting starts.”
Li Haiqin waved her hand. “No need. I also want to see who he can call.”
No sooner had Li Haiqin spoken than a powerful yet shrill voice echoed from the top of the stairs: “This King would like to see just who is blind enough to dare strike this King’s own brother.”
A squad of men holding sabers then rushed up, surrounding Chu Fan and Li Haiqin.
A man in magnificent robes with a sinister face walked up the stairs. His sharp gaze swept across the room before finally landing on Li Haiqin.
“Brother, it was them! I told them I was a disciple of the Cage Race, but they still attacked me,” Mo Sang said, looking pitifully at the newcomer.
The newcomer was indeed Moqish. He let out a loud laugh, then his eyes turned icy. “Since when do people dare to disrespect our Cage Race? Who laid a hand on him?”
Just as Li Haiqin was about to speak, Chu Fan stepped in front of her. “He dared to speak rudely to my master. The fact that I didn’t kill him is a testament to my mercy.”
“You… very good!” Moqish said, then drew a Binding Belt from his waist and whipped it viciously at Chu Fan’s head.
‘Divine Separation Realm?’
‘No wonder he’s so arrogant!’
But to Chu Fan, a Divine Separation Realm cultivator wasn’t even an ant.
The long whip whistled with immense force, but Chu Fan easily caught it in his hand. With a light flick of his wrist, a series of sharp CRACKS echoed out, and Moqish screamed as he dropped the whip.
Apparently, that simple flick had dislocated every joint in his arm.
Chu Fan gave Li Haiqin a meaningful look. Understanding his signal, she said angrily, “What? Do people from the Cage Race act so indiscriminately?”
“Today, this King doesn’t care who you are! The man dies! The woman will sleep with this King, and then my Guards will take turns with her!” Moqish roared.
“What are you waiting for? Attack!” Moqish bellowed at his Guards.
“Moqish, you’ve got some nerve. You dare touch this Little Prince’s woman?” Jisierk’s voice rang out from downstairs.
Hearing this voice, the corner of Chu Fan’s mouth tilted up in a slight smirk.
The Guards rushing toward Chu Fan halted in their tracks.
As he spoke, Jisierk came up the stairs with his Guards. The second floor of the Tayun Building was now packed with people.
As for the other patrons in the Tayun Building, they had long since hidden themselves away. This was a conflict between Golden Families; who would dare to interfere? They wouldn’t even dare to report it to the authorities.
“Jisierk, are you trying to make an enemy of this King?” Moqish asked, glaring at him fiercely.
Jisierk ignored him. He walked over to Mo Sang and kicked him squarely in the stomach. Mo Sang stumbled back several steps, knocking over a table before collapsing to the ground and spitting up a mouthful of blood.
“Jisierk!” Moqish roared like thunder.
“Keep your voice down. This Little Prince isn’t deaf!”
