Knotting the Omega(an Omegaverse Erotica Collection)

Chapter 63: Knotted by the rival Alpha -8

The news reached the outpost before the blood of the rogue Alphas had fully dried in the mud. Both territories issued the same decree within hours of each other. Lucian was declared rogue for slaughtering a sanctioned strike team and for harboring an enemy Omega. Kaelen was branded traitor by his own faction for failing to complete the assassination and for carrying an Alpha’s temporary mark. Extraction teams from both sides were already moving. Staying meant capture or worse.

Lucian packed what they needed in under ten minutes. Weapons. Rations. A sealed medical kit that included the last of the antidote in case the generals had left any lingering dose in his system. Kaelen watched him work, the renewed mark on his neck still tender from the night before.

"We run," Lucian said. "North into the mountains. There is an old Omega sanctuary abandoned since the last border war. No one has claimed it in years. We can disappear there long enough to plan."

Kaelen pulled on the heavier coat Lucian tossed him. "Your own people will hunt you for this."

"They already are." Lucian’s eyes met his. "Yours will hunt you harder. We move now."

They left the outpost under cover of the lingering rain. Two horses waited at the rear picket line, already saddled by a sergeant who owed Lucian an old life debt and asked no questions. The ride into the foothills took the rest of the day. By the time the path turned steep and rocky the bond had begun to fray at the edges. Kaelen felt it first as a dull ache under the mark, then as a restless heat that no amount of shifting in the saddle could ease.

"You are leaking scent," Lucian said over the sound of hooves on stone. "The mark is thinning."

Kaelen’s hands tightened on the reins. "I know."

"How long do you think we have?"

"Hours. Maybe less if the stress keeps eating at it." Kaelen glanced over. Lucian’s jaw was set, eyes fixed on the trail ahead. "You feel it too."

"Every pull. Every time it weakens I want to bite you again just to stop the drift." Lucian’s voice stayed low. "We reach the sanctuary first. Then we deal with it."

Night had fully settled when the old stone structure finally appeared through the trees. The sanctuary sat half-buried against the mountainside, its outer walls cracked but still standing. Heavy wooden doors hung crooked on their hinges. Inside, the main hall smelled of dust and old incense and the faint ghost of Omegas who had once sheltered there. A smaller chamber at the back still held a wide pallet bed covered in faded blankets. A stone hearth sat cold against the far wall.

Lucian barred the main doors with a length of fallen timber. Kaelen dropped their packs near the hearth and tried to ignore the way his cock had stayed half-hard for the last two hours of the ride. Slick had soaked through the crotch of his trousers. The fading mark throbbed like an open nerve.

"Fire first," Lucian said. "Then we talk about the mark."

Kaelen gave a rough laugh. "Talk. Sure."

They got a small fire going with dry wood stacked in the corner by whoever had last used the place. Warmth spread slowly through the chamber. Kaelen stripped the wet outer layers and stood in the firelight in only his undershirt and trousers. The mark on his neck had lost its raised edges. The color had faded from deep bruise to something pale and uncertain.

Lucian watched him from the other side of the hearth. "It is almost gone."

"I can feel the bond slipping." Kaelen’s voice came out tighter than he wanted. "Every time it weakens my body panics. I get wetter. Harder. Like it is trying to force a renewal before the connection dies completely."

Lucian crossed the space in three strides. His hand settled on the side of Kaelen’s neck, thumb brushing the fading mark. The simple touch sent a jolt straight to Kaelen’s cock. Slick gathered fresh between his thighs.

"You do not want it to fade," Lucian said.

Kaelen’s breath stuttered. "I should want it gone. Freedom. No more pull. No more waking up already aching for you."

"But you do not."

"No." The admission tasted like surrender. "I do not want it gone. I hate that I do not want it gone. I hate that my first thought when I felt it thinning on the trail was that I needed your teeth in me again before I lost the last of it."

Lucian’s eyes darkened. "Then ask."

Kaelen’s hands fisted in the front of Lucian’s shirt. "Bite me. Renew it. Fuck me until the bond locks back into place. I do not care how desperate it sounds. Just do it before it disappears completely."

Lucian kissed him hard. Teeth scraped Kaelen’s lower lip. The Alpha’s hands shoved the undershirt up and off, then tore open the fastenings of Kaelen’s trousers. The fabric dropped. Kaelen’s cock sprang free, flushed and leaking. Slick shone on his inner thighs in the firelight.

"On the pallet," Lucian ordered, voice already rough. "Hands and knees."

Kaelen climbed onto the wide pallet and braced on hands and knees. The position left him open and exposed. Lucian stripped with efficient movements and knelt behind him. Two fingers pushed into Kaelen without warning and found him dripping.

"Soaked from the fading alone," Lucian muttered. "Your body is screaming for the claim to stay."

Kaelen pushed back onto the fingers with a broken sound. "Stop teasing and fuck me."

Lucian pulled his fingers free and lined up. He thrust in hard, burying himself to the hilt in one stroke. Kaelen cried out, arms trembling. The stretch burned in the best way. Lucian set a desperate pace immediately, hips snapping forward, each thrust deep enough to force wet sounds into the quiet chamber.

"You ran with me," Lucian growled against his ear. "You let both sides brand you traitor. And now you beg for my mark to stay. Say it again."

"I want it," Kaelen panted. "I want the mark. I want the bond. I want you to bite me so deep the next fade takes weeks instead of hours."

Lucian’s hand wrapped around Kaelen’s cock and stroked in rough time with the thrusts. "You will come when I bite. Not before."

The command locked around Kaelen’s orgasm and held it just out of reach. He trembled, body clenching around the thick cock fucking him open. Slick ran down both their thighs. The pallet creaked under the force. Firelight painted their moving shadows across the stone walls.

Lucian’s free hand tangled in Kaelen’s hair and pulled his head to the side, baring the fading mark. "Now."

His teeth sank in deep. Fresh blood welled. The temporary claim flared back to full strength in a white-hot rush. Kaelen came hard with a broken cry, spilling over Lucian’s fist and the blankets beneath them. His body milched the cock still driving into him. Lucian followed moments later, knot swelling fast and locking them together with a final deep shove. Thick pulses of come flooded Kaelen’s insides while the Alpha groaned against the renewed wound.

They stayed tied, breathing hard. Lucian licked the mark clean, sealing it with careful attention. His arm banded around Kaelen’s waist, holding him upright on his knees.

"It is stronger this time," Lucian said against his skin. "I can feel it settling deeper."

Kaelen’s laugh came out shaky. "Good. I do not want to feel it slip again."

Lucian’s hips gave a slow roll, testing the lock of the knot. "We are hunted by both territories. We have a ruined sanctuary and whatever supplies we carried. And you just asked me to keep claiming you."

"I did."

"Say it without the heat clouding your head."

Kaelen turned his head enough to meet Lucian’s eyes over his shoulder. "I do not want the mark to fade. I do not want the bond gone. I chose the antidote over the poison. I chose to run with you instead of toward my own people. This is me choosing again."

Lucian kissed the side of his neck, just above the fresh bite. "Then we stay here until the heat of the hunt dies down. We plan. And every time the mark even thinks about thinning I will put my teeth in you again."

The knot held them together while the fire burned lower. Outside, wind moved through the mountain pines. Inside the old sanctuary the air smelled of sex and blood and the quiet certainty of a claim neither of them was willing to let die.

Kaelen let his head drop forward and felt Lucian’s heartbeat through the renewed mark, steady and possessive and still unwilling to let the world take what they had decided to keep. The fading had scared him more than any decree of treason. The renewal had felt like coming home. And for the first time since the summit he did not try to call the feeling by any other name.
