Landlord in the Arctic
Chapter 605 - 399: Leaving
Chapter 605: Chapter 399: Leaving
Andrei sat on the other side of the dining room.
His anxious gaze turned helpless the moment he saw Frank and Auntie Natalia acting affectionately.
A pent-up frustration churned inside him with no outlet.
At the same time, his eyes revealed a hint of envy mixed with a touch of resentment. He crossed his arms over his chest as if sulking.
He muttered to himself under his breath.
"Her Highness has no idea what’s going on, and you two still have the heart to be all lovey-dovey."
After all, watching the affectionate couple before him only made him think of his own solitary existence.
A single man with no girlfriend.
He couldn’t help but feel a little bitter.
Andrei shook his head helplessly and turned his gaze out the dining room window.
The snow was still falling in thick flurries, but his heart was a tangled mess.
He didn’t know how Her Highness Natasha was doing and could only pray silently that everything was alright.
...
At Crown Land Airport, a biting wind howled, sweeping snowflakes from the ground up into the sky.
A deep red Beechcraft King Air 350 sat on the runway like a noble and elegant queen.
Its two turboprop engines spun slowly, emitting a low, rhythmic drone.
Natasha stood tall beside the boarding stairs, a coarse, simple animal-hide coat wrapped tightly around her.
The coat may have looked simple, but it did nothing to hide Natasha’s beauty and unique charisma.
On the contrary, the soft fur on the coat, gently lifted by the wind, complemented her long golden hair, adding a touch of wild charm to her appearance.
The airport wind, laced with a biting chill, messed up the hair on Feng Mountain’s forehead.
He gazed at Natasha by the boarding stairs, an indescribable reluctance to part in his eyes.
"You’re in such a hurry to go back. Why not stay a few more days?"
Natasha shook her head slightly, a helpless look on her face.
But then her eyes showed resolve, though still hiding a trace of longing. "Something’s come up at home that I need to handle immediately. I’m sorry!"
In truth, Natasha wanted nothing more than to stay a few more days in the Crown Territory and spend more time with Feng Mountain.
But the news from Lengwan was growing more serious. Those old geezers in the family were getting restless and were about to make their move.
If she didn’t hurry back, the estate passed down through generations of the Romanov Family could easily be snatched away by others.
’I have to protect the family’s assets for my future child.’
At this thought, Natasha’s hand unconsciously drifted to her abdomen. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her emotions.
She looked up at Feng Mountain, the first and last man in her life.
A flicker of tenderness crossed her eyes.
"Once I’ve handled things over there, I will definitely come back."
This promise brought Feng Mountain a little comfort, but it also intensified the sorrow of their parting.
For some reason, Feng Mountain felt his heart clench tightly.
He was growing suspicious about Natasha’s hasty departure.
He took a straw rope he hadn’t touched in a long time from his pocket. His fingers moved quickly, tying knots in it to perform the Divination Technique for Natasha’s return to Lengwan.
This was the second time he had performed a divination for Natasha.
The first time was at the tavern. Through the divination, Feng Mountain had learned that after being with Natasha, he was going to have a child.
With this second divination, a mysterious and profound premonition flooded his mind.
Natasha would be in danger, but her life wouldn’t be at risk. However, there would be death around her.
Furthermore, Feng Mountain could not get involved, or disaster would befall the person the divination was for.
Upon getting this result, Feng Mountain immediately looked at Natasha, unable to explain. His eyes filled with worry as he said urgently, "Why don’t you let Ma Wei and the others go with you? They’re veterans, retired from the battlefield."
Natasha shook her head and raised the corners of her mouth in a slight smile. With confidence in her eyes, she reached out to gently stroke Feng Mountain’s cheek and said softly, "Trust me. I can handle it!"
Then she gazed at Feng Mountain, her eyes full of deep affection. "Remember what I told you. You are my only man. Don’t do anything dangerous anymore—for our child’s sake, too."
Her tone carried an unquestionable command, but it was also layered with deep concern and love.
Feng Mountain nodded silently, no longer able to suppress his emotions.
He took a step forward and pulled the queenly woman before him into a tight embrace.
He leaned close to Natasha’s ear and said in a low voice,
"You have to promise me, too. Always wear the Bear Tooth Necklace. No matter what, don’t ever take it off."
Natasha murmured, "I know!" and placed a light, lingering kiss on Feng Mountain’s cheek, full of reluctance to part.
Then, she gently pushed Feng Mountain away and crouched down to pat the tiger, Ivan, who was sitting beside her.
She turned resolutely, climbed the boarding stairs with firm steps, and her figure gradually disappeared into the cabin doorway.
After Natasha boarded the plane, Auntie Natalia nodded slightly, a gratified smile on her face.
She was showing her approval of the relationship between Natasha and Feng Mountain.
Then she also walked into the plane.
Next, Frank strode toward the cabin.
When Feng Mountain saw this, he was taken aback. He subconsciously grabbed Frank’s arm, his face full of confusion. "Natasha is going back to Lengwan. Where are you going?"
Frank’s old face darkened, and a flash of displeasure crossed his eyes. He forcefully shook off Feng Mountain’s hand and said irritably, "I’m going back to Lengwan, too. Lengwan is my second home. Let go."
With that, he scurried quickly into the cabin, leaving Feng Mountain standing there, utterly stunned.
Finally, Andrei walked over.
After learning that Her Highness and Feng Mountain had confirmed their intimate relationship, this simple and straightforward "old boy" of a bodyguard was simmering with anger.
He was particularly emotional and naturally didn’t have a pleasant look for Feng Mountain.
With a stern face and eyes full of disapproval, he said coldly to Feng Mountain, "Feng, even though you’re with Her Highness now, I will never acknowledge you. You’d better watch yourself."
