Landlord in the Arctic
Chapter 619 - 406: The Company
Chapter 619: Chapter 406: The Company
Crown Leader Travel Agency.
Established just two months ago, it was a rising star in the tourism industry.
This company, which specialized in tours to Alaska, was located in the Guangmao Building in downtown Binhai City.
Its target clientele was clearly defined and upscale, and it was dedicated to creating a unique Alaskan journey for its tourists. From exceptional accommodation experiences to one-of-a-kind tour routes, every detail was meticulously crafted, allowing it to quickly make a name for itself in the market.
At 9 a.m., the city awoke from its slumber, ushering in the busy office hours.
The glass doors of the Guangmao Building constantly opened and closed as elites in crisp suits and shiny leather shoes hurried in and out.
Some held coffee in one hand and clutched a folder in the other, walking with hurried steps. Others were on the phone, striding briskly toward the elevators, the stress of a new workday written all over their faces.
A taxi pulled up in front of the Guangmao Building.
Feng Shan gently pushed open the car door and stepped out, holding Coca-Cola in his arms.
Dressed in casual clothes, he exuded a relaxed yet unique aura.
He walked into the building’s spacious, bright lobby. The polished marble floor reflected its surroundings, lending the space an especially grand air.
The security guard on duty at the reception desk quickly noticed Feng Shan.
After all, in a high-end commercial building like this, most of the people coming and going were well-dressed, white-collar professionals.
Feng Shan’s casual attire wasn’t particularly eye-catching, but the cat in his arms caught the security guard’s attention.
This was because the building had a clear rule: no animals were allowed inside.
The guard smiled, politely approached, and blocked Feng Shan’s path. "Hello, sir!" he said.
Hearing the voice, Feng Shan stopped and looked at the guard with a confused expression. "Yes?"
The guard remained polite, showing no hint of arrogance or any intention to make things difficult. He gestured politely to a prominent sign by the door and explained.
"The thing is, sir, animals aren’t allowed in the building. We have a special pet holding area, however. You can leave your pet there temporarily, and someone on staff will look after it."
’Holding area?’
Feng Shan paused, slightly taken aback.
During his time in Alaska, he’d grown used to taking animals with him everywhere. He had assumed things would be the same now that he was back home.
’Well, since they’ve made it so clear, I can’t really break the rules.’
So, Feng Shan followed the guard to the pet holding area.
As he stepped into the holding area, he was greeted by a few cheerful barks.
A few other dogs were already in the room: a small Teddy, a gentle Golden Retriever with a beautiful coat, and a short-legged Corgi. The dogs stared with wide, curious eyes at Feng Shan and Coca-Cola.
After handing Coca-Cola to a staff member, Feng Shan fixed the cat with a serious gaze and gave him a solemn warning.
"Behave yourself in here. No running around, and no fighting!"
’Shouldn’t this cuddly-looking cat be the one who needs protecting?’
The staff member looked at the chubby, fluffy cat, who was staring back with big, innocent eyes, and couldn’t help but find the warning amusing.
The corners of his lips curved into a gentle smile as he offered a reassuring word.
"Don’t worry, sir. The dogs won’t bother your cat."
’I’m not worried about the dogs bothering Coca-Cola. I’m worried about Coca-Cola bothering the dogs!’
’After all, when Coca-Cola gets worked up, he’d even take on a tiger.’
Remembering Coca-Cola’s track record, the corner of Feng Shan’s mouth twitched.
But he couldn’t very well explain all that to the staff member, so he just gave a resigned smile, shook his head, and turned to leave the holding area, heading for the elevators.
From behind him, he faintly heard Coca-Cola let out a "MEOW," as if promising to be good.
But Feng Shan knew perfectly well what a little troublemaker his cat really was.
Crown Leader Travel Agency was located on the 20th floor of the Guangmao Building.
Feng Shan walked into the elevator, and as the doors slowly closed, he pressed the floor button.
The elevator began to ascend, stopping and starting as people got on and off. The small space filled with the faint scent of perfume and the smell of shoe leather.
Finally, the elevator reached the 20th floor, and the doors opened with a DING.
Feng Shan stepped out of the elevator, and the sight before him made him pause for a moment.
The hallway walls were covered with promotional posters, the images showing the icy, snowy world of the Crown Territory.
The first thing that caught his eye was a vast expanse of tundra, its green moss swaying gently in the cold wind. Next came images of rolling, snow-capped mountains, their white peaks glinting dazzlingly in the sunlight.
The Moonlight Forest, with moonlight filtering through the gaps between branches, creating a serene and dreamlike atmosphere.
Sapphire Lake, like a brilliant pearl set into the earth. The lakeside camp was quiet and serene, a few tents artfully arranged along its shore.
Further on, a poster showed a scene of whitefish being caught in Kivalina, the faces of the Indigenous People brimming with the joy of a bountiful harvest.
There was a massive herd of walruses from Point Laya Village, packed densely together on the beach as they lazily sunbathed.
Polar bears from Kaktovik Town, sprawled out on the snow and dozing lazily.
There was also a fairytale-like picture, of the Prince and Princess strolling through the snow, followed by a loyal pack of Taiga Wolves.
The thrilling moment of a brown bear hunt at Kevik Camp, and the exciting scenes of hunting muskox, reindeer, and moose on the Tundra.
There was even a spectacular image of catching Emperor Crabs aboard the Bering Sea Beach.
A giant Emperor Crab brandished its pincers as if showing off its might.
Feng Shan walked slowly down the corridor.
Each photograph seemed to tell a story, and he had been a part of nearly every one of them.
’Even I find it a little hard to believe. To think I’ve experienced and accomplished so much in just a few short months.’
