Legend of Wyatt
Chapter 3046: Blood Skeleton Clan
In response to Bradley Clark’s sneer, an originally composed Ruby King finally showed a slight change in expression.
"You’re here to see me... do you perhaps have a way to resolve this issue? Or perhaps a way to take care of that person?"
Ruby King took a deep look at Bradley Clark and asked.
Simultaneously, deep within her eyes, a hint of killing intent flashed.
Of course, this killing intent wasn’t directed at Bradley Clark, but at the one who snatched their Ethereal Glade Sect’s last seat for a true disciple.
As Bradley Clark had said, she couldn’t possibly remain indifferent to this matter!
"Ruby, it’s just you and me here now, let’s speak frankly."
As Bradley Clark finished speaking, a moment later, an array plate appeared in his hand, and with the infusion of Immortal Origin, the array plate extended a layer of light, enveloping him and Ruby King within.
The formation set up by this array plate was one that isolated internal and external sound, voices, and sight. Even a mighty Immortal King expert couldn’t see or hear anything inside unless they forcibly destroyed the formation.
"Quite cautious indeed."
Seeing Bradley Clark’s actions, Ruby King squinted her eyes and said lightly, "Speak."
"Ruby, I plan to hire an assassin to eliminate Wyatt Barnes!"
Bradley Clark went straight to the point.
"Hire an assassin?"
Ruby King smiled, "I thought it was some brilliant method... Within the Mystic Abyss Mansion, for low-tier assassinations, they won’t be disclosed."
"But, once it involves the three sects and two clans, as soon as your master greets the Mystic Abyss Mansion, putting pressure on those assassin organizations, they’ll betray you without leaving a trace!"
As she spoke, the smile on Ruby King’s face turned into a sneer, a cold smile.
If hiring an assassin organization in the Mystic Abyss Mansion was effective, would Bradley Clark and Ben Evans, as stumbling blocks on her path to becoming a true disciple, still be alive today?
At this moment, Ruby King simply thought Bradley Clark was a bit naive.
"Who said anything about hiring an assassin organization within the Mystic Abyss Mansion?"
Bradley Clark wasn’t angered by Ruby King’s sarcasm. He calmly looked at Ruby King and said blandly, "I’m planning to approach one of the three most powerful assassin organizations in the South Heaven’s Borderlands, ’Blood Skeleton Clan’."
"Blood Skeleton Clan?!"
Hearing Bradley Clark, Ruby King’s pupils slightly contracted.
The Blood Skeleton Clan is one of the most powerful three assassin organizations in the South Heaven’s Borderlands, notorious and infamous as a dreadful assassin organization!
It’s said that within the Blood Skeleton organization, there are even Immortal Sovereign-level assassins because there once was a Ten-direction Immortal King tier expert killed by a Blood Skeleton assassin, and it happened with a single strike!
Even if it was a sneak attack, only an Immortal Sovereign-level expert could probably kill a Ten-direction Immortal King expert in one shot.
"You... actually have a way to contact the Blood Skeleton Clan?"
When Ruby King asked Bradley Clark this question, although she was trying hard to calm her emotions, her voice still underwent a subtle change, with a slight tremor.
Noticing this, Bradley Clark did not mock Ruby King, because he knew the intimidating power of Blood Skeleton Clan.
Let alone Ruby King, even if Ruby King’s grandfather, the Grand Elder of their Ethereal Glade Sect, were here, learning of his ability to contact the Blood Skeleton Clan, he would probably be scared too.
The Blood Skeleton killer organization is renowned in the South Heaven’s Borderlands, but not just anyone can contact Blood Skeleton to hire an assassin.
To contact Blood Skeleton and hire an assassin, at least a leader-level person from a King Grade force is needed as a guarantor.
Of course, having an Immortal Sovereign expert as a guarantor would also work.
And the reason Blood Skeleton has such requirements is because they deal in high-end trade, only accepting high-end clientele.
This is one of their fundamental principles of survival.
"No... even if you have a way to contact Blood Skeleton, without a King Grade force leader or an Immortal Sovereign expert as a guarantor, there’s no way for you to place an order with Blood Skeleton!"
Realizing this point, Ruby King’s brows furrowed, and she spoke with a tone of skepticism.
"Usually, that is indeed the case..."
Bradley Clark nodded, then continued, "But, if I tell you that during my last trip, I happened to encounter a son of the Blood Skeleton high ranks and did him a favor?"
"Son of a Blood Skeleton high rank?"
Ruby King inhaled sharply.
"Yes, his father is one of the three Vice Leaders of Blood Skeleton... But of course, he’s just an illegitimate child. Yet, even as an illegitimate child, he still has the capability to place an order with Blood Skeleton to kill!"
"Back then, I helped him, and we exchanged Soul Beads... He promised me a chance to place an order with Blood Skeleton without needing a King Grade force leader or Immortal Sovereign expert to guarantee."
Bradley Clark finished in one breath.
And in fact, there was an element of falsehood in Bradley Clark’s words.
That is:
The promise made by the son of the Blood Skeleton Vice Leader was that he had two opportunities to place an order with Blood Skeleton without needing someone else to guarantee.
Of course, Bradley Clark dared not reveal the existence of two opportunities in front of Ruby King. Who knows if Ruby King might fear that he would use the second opportunity against her?
"Since that’s the case, you could easily not come to me, but go find him yourself for that favor, and then place the order to assassinate Wyatt Barnes through Blood Skeleton."
Ruby King said.
"Although that’s true, you must have also heard that the lowest level assassins in Blood Skeleton are Immortal Kings... Though I can place orders through the son of a Blood Skeleton Vice Leader, I still need to pay the Immortal Crystals after the pricing over there."
"You should realize the price for a Blood Skeleton Immortal King level assassin is definitely not low. And my assets, would struggle to bear that price..."
Bradley Clark stopped speaking here, but shot Ruby King a deep look.
"So, you sought me out, wanting me to share the load?"
Ruby King sneered.
"Exactly."
Bradley Clark nodded.
"Do you think I’ll jump into your ’pit’? You want to kill Wyatt Barnes; that’s your issue, what does it have to do with me?"
Ruby King continued to sneer, looking at Bradley Clark as if he were a fool.
"You will jump."
Bradley Clark shot Ruby King a deep look, "Ruby King, you should know, in terms of assets, there’s no comparison between you and me... For me to solely foot the bill for a Blood Skeleton Immortal King assassin is a huge burden, it could even be described as ’cutting off a soldier’s arm’."
"Thus, if you don’t agree, you can only watch as Wyatt Barnes becomes the tenth true disciple of our Embracing Truth Immortal Sect."
Bradley Clark said.
"Though he is bound to leave the sect eventually, even if he leaves, goes to Mystic Abyss Mansion, he will still occupy a true disciple seat... Six out of our nine Embracing Truth Immortal Sect true disciples are at Mystic Abyss Mansion, only three are in the sect."
Bradley Clark continued.
"You... think it over."
As the words fell, Bradley Clark withdrew the array plate, lifted into the air, ready to leave the valley where Ruby King was.
This valley was the cultivation site of the Grand Elder of Embracing Truth Immortal Sect, Dragonfly King, and Ruby King, as Dragonfly King’s granddaughter, regularly cultivated here.
The cultivation environment here was nearly identical to a true disciple’s cultivation environment.
Contrarily, Bradley Clark, as the personal disciple of Sect Leader Liam Davidson, did not enjoy such treatment and could only cultivate at the residence of Inner Sect disciples.
This was because Liam Davidson, as Sect Leader, must set an example and cannot give special favor to his personal disciples.
"You have my Soul Bead, my soul imprint... I await your reply."
Before leaving, Bradley Clark conveyed to Ruby King, "However, you’d better give me a reply soon... After all, placing an order with Blood Skeleton to kill someone requires time for their review and investigation."
"Only after their review and investigation can a quote be given."
"Yet, since Wyatt Barnes is merely a Loose Cultivator, I imagine the quote range should be within what you and I can bear."
Having said this via transmission, Bradley Clark left, speaking as if unconcerned about Ruby King refusing.
"Damn it!"
After Bradley Clark left, Ruby King’s face darkened.
As Bradley Clark said, given her personality, she naturally cannot tolerate an outsider who just joined the sect taking the last true disciple seat.
Still, agreeing to Bradley Clark’s proposal, letting him lead her by the nose, left her somewhat displeased.
Nevertheless, despite the displeasure, she still preferred to remove Wyatt Barnes, who had just joined the sect and took the last true disciple spot!
"Can’t let Bradley Clark get too complacent... Wait until he contacts me again before I respond."
"But asking me to pay half, that’s out of the question! I would at most pay 30%."
Ruby King thought to herself.
However, although she was resolute at this time, half a month later, when Bradley Clark contacted her again, she agreed to pay half of the Immortal Crystals for the hired killer.
Of course, the Blood Skeleton assassin organization disregarded the top-grade Immortal Crystals they presented, so they could only produce equivalent value King Grade Immortal Artifacts and other precious treasures to give the Blood Skeleton assassin organization together.
Once Ruby King agreed, Bradley Clark immediately used an Immortal Talisman to contact the illegitimate child of the Blood Skeleton Organization’s Vice Leader he accidentally met:
"Young Master Holland, this is Bradley Clark from Mystic Abyss Mansion Embracing Truth Immortal Sect, we met by chance at the Mirage Forest... You promised me I could place orders twice through you with Blood Skeleton without guarantee."
This was the content of Bradley Clark’s first Immortal Talisman transmission, "Now, I intend to use one of those opportunities."
After sending out the first Immortal Talisman, Bradley Clark awaited a response.
About a quarter of an hour later, he received the response:
"Target information."
The response was simple and straightforward.
"Wyatt Barnes, Loose Cultivator, under a hundred years old, comprehended two principles of Earth-attribute Law Rule, stood out at the lower realm of South Heaven’s Ancient Realm in Mystic Abyss Mansion, and entered our Embracing Truth Immortal Sect."
Bradley Clark responded promptly.
